I like to use a blaster setup and now it almost useless for missions. The deadspace sucks. I get jump in at 15 and rats are up to 70 away mwd dont work cant get close to kill them it sucks. Rats dont drop hardly any more.(I guess you want all players to be pvp or minners for mission runners you ruind the game) I used to be able to get the min I needed for amo and ships from reproceing rat drops thats gone. I used to be able to jump in close and deal out D while taking D. now I take more d than i Deal out.
FIX Missions Please 1)You need to let peeps jump in at 15 and be 15 away from rats or let mwd work. 2) rats need to drop loot mission runner use min from it to make amo and ships. 3) T2 components were a good sorce of income but with bpo for sale thats gone.

Edited by: Gabriel BriGGs on 25/11/2004 06:25:04 Aye. I just scraped my thorax and megathron setups. Doesnt help that sometimes it doesnt matter how far you want to warp in at, I still warp in right ontop of the beacon, just where the rats happen to awlays be.. but then they fly away from me (they are smart i suppose) so i cant ues blasters. but if i have rails then i cant hit, so i try to get out of range but their ships are always faster then mine so i cant..
Ive swithced to a heavy missle lobbing raven because i dont know whats suppose to be happening with thes warp in ranges.. no point in using guns. -------------------------------------------- I've had the same Gurista Imputor on my tail for the past 16 systems..
2004.08.16 21:38:37 - Combat: Your 250mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes Blood Sage, wrecking for 324.9 damage.

I am not very happy with this either but there is nothing else to do but to adapt.
Instead of having a MWD in your mid slot try using dual ab. Its not going to give you as much speed as the MWD gave you but running a dual ab setup should give BS's around 260-300 and more for cruisers and frigates. As for the blaster setups I do hope to god that CCP has a plan otherwise new ships like the Deimos(second bonus has to do with MWD penalty) are going to become rather unless in deadspace......

T2 comp BPO's are out yes, however you need moon mining equipment and a POS to actually make the components needed to manufacture the things. As it is now, market is down across the whole of EVE (damn those pesky 25ers and their hacking!), we can't even sell a shield booster let alone buy a station! -------------------------------------------- [2005.02.08 13:58:16] Your Mega Beam Laser II perfectly strikes Sansha's Beast, wrecking for 709.6 damage.

Basicly what you are saying is 'I hate to adapt to anything new'. I must admit i was abit surprised when my mwd didn't work. Complexes are very new, i'm sure some changes will be made the coming months. Maybe mwd's will be coming back, maybe they don't. Try a different setup.
But maybe with a name like 'Walking Dead' it's clear your bloodline will end soon. Mother Nature is a harsh woman for those who can't adapt ;)

Yeah the lack of a MWD is a problem, but tbh I dont think any battleship is intended for close range, they all struck me as long range platforms of death, but thats just me. Maybe thats one of the reasons behind it --------------------------------------------- 2004.12.08 16:17:56 combat Your AFK at belt stupidity perfectly strikes your wallet wrecking for 10.43 million isk.

1)well its sucks when you go and spend time for blaster speaclization and its almost useless months of training time.(about 20 days till large T2 blaster the time i spent on small and med is wasted for what i want to do)
2) I used to get all min I needed from rat drops not anymore.(so now I have to mine,or wtfpwn minners in .4 to .1 to get minners)
I can change Its not a problem.(the problem is they took my ways of making money out of missions)
I dont care for PVP in eve.(PVP in eve sucks no player skill needed realy. IE he with the most time and best trained skills wins. IF I want true PVP I play Fighter Ace were the skill of player counts not skills he trained)
I fined Mining not fun at all sitting there humping roid for hrs.

It's a beautiful tribute to Eve players everywhere how none of you jump to conclusions. I can only aspire to such a lofty maturity as is displayed in this incredibly patient and sage thread. All of you have inspired me not to complain about how I can no longer do level 4 deadspace missions in my Caldari shuttle.
I also have to applaud you all on not reading anything Zrakor posted in these forums, for that would surely be a despicible compromise of your unfathomable principles.
Thank you so much, and looking forward to seeing you all at Club Med: Deadspace,
Apople
PS: It does my heart good to open the map, click on "Ships destroyed in last hour" and see the Xmas lights. Its beautiful. Don't change a thing.

I kinda figured out what would happen, so I got a Raven. It seems like it will be more profitable working for level 3 agents as long as I can use a bs in the missions.
Raven is imho, the most boring ship to fly. No skills involved. But using a close range ship is either suicide, tedious, nerfed or all of the above.
Anyway, I'll wait abit more before I whine even more. If I know CCP right, things will be changed over and over again. But making a game more interesting, isn't making it harder and slower. Not in my book at least.

Yesterday i decided to try a lvl 3 mission. So i bring out my Claw, and head for the "Damsel in distress" waypoint.
first lesson, after a patch dont atempt combat without knowing your interface. The claw was killed before landing a shot. My situation awareness was close to zero.
Well... lets bring my faithfull long range rupture. It never failed me before.. But whats this? I cant keep my distance! WHat happened to MWD??? (Oh.. Dead space... hmgrfsgfsrs.... yeah right...)... Now i have 2 canisters of what is left of my equipment in dead space...
Then i realize i just lost an Interceptor and a Cruiser with several tech II and Scout Weapons for a mission that paid me 75k isk and 100 volumes of PAx Amarrian (if i was fast enough..).
I ended the night with the feeling that we are all supposed to get mining barges for getting money and battleships if we want to fight. And that Missions were seriously compromised as a solo player career.
I'l try to adjust but at this point i'm a bit skeptical.

That is kind of the point, for anyone who hasn't got it yet. It's that phrase "solo player career". It's not just MISSIONS that have been nerfed, it's the whole idea of a "solo player career". Why do you think the game won't let you NOT be in corp? The whole ethos of EVE is supposed to be co-operation. Particularly as the skill set broadens, you are NOT going to be able to do EVERYTHING with a single character. Corps should be assigning roles to people that have MEANING...people with the title "Chief Procurement Officer" should be working towards having all the trade skills to level 5. Not floating around in a battleship. It's a bit like sending an accountant to assassinate the president.
Unfortunately, the only people who have adopted the co-operation ethos wholeheartedly are the scummy pirates - tell me, when was the last time you saw a solo gate camp? ========================================= * I'm ALLOWED to cheat. I'm a STARSHIP. * ========================================= |
