Ello'
Me and my GF is connected to the internet via a cable switch.
We are both using laptops though hers is a brand new I7 4gb nvidia thingy which really kicks ass (yeah I spoil her^^). mine is not too bad either but starting to notice age. (I'm on xp x32)
Thing is, she gets disconnected all the time while I don't. It's only recently become a problem and it's very weird. I mean if it was internet we should both get disonn'ed
I have tried to swap cables to the switch, but still i'm good and she still gets disconn'ed.
so i recon it has to do with her computer (64 bit OS maybee?) otherwise it would happen to mee to.
The computer is fully updated through Win. update and AVG is installed.
any simmular experiences out there or suggestions to where to start looking for solutions?

Windows 7 x64 in itself is certainly not the issue, I run fine on 2 computers with Win7 x64 ( besides that it is the only logical choice for a new gaming computer ).
You say the computer is updated thru Windows Update, fine, but did you also downloaded and installed updated network drivers? And also make sure you do NOT download hardware drivers thru Windows update, because generally they are outdated.

Have you tried port forwarding. It might help I dont know. if you havent try look up port forward on google it works well. I also just recently installed win 7 and after a fresh install of Eve it asked me if I wanted to allow Eve access through the firewall, maybe you have a problem here. good luck!
