Edited by: Durzel on 11/02/2010 16:42:35 Looks pretty rubbish... fires once every 60 seconds? The 6m bounty doesn't inspire confidence in it being particularly tough either.
I've had very little experience of high-level plexes but the last time CCP spawned a load of bosses on SiSi they pretty much obliterated my ship.
Jorun 'Red Legs' Greaves was one of them and iirc she was hard to kill and hit bloody hard too.

Yes, that is quite nasty, but it has limited range, thankfully.

Sorry about the necro - but regarding the Thor torpedo in the maze, what are the stats (roughly) on its explosion radius / explosion velocity? Is it possible to sig tank it to any appreciable extent? ________________

we tested the maze THOR torpedo several times.
You can tank it in 99% EM resistant heavy interdictor, remote repped by two logistics. Yes, signature tanking is possible. However anything with less EHP than 150 000 EM would instapop. Confirming that we lost a night hawk, a harpy, a drake and lots of other stuff.
Broadsword did the trick for us, it is one of the best choices, buffer + resist tanked. Small, slick and solid. In our case signature tank was used to mitigate the damage from the NPCs, especially heavy missiles and torpedoess from BS, BC and HACs.

Isn't damage reduction from resists and speed/sig tank applied before the game determines whether your ship asplode? I think you meant to phrase this differently.
Did any of the ships you used have an afterburner?

Doesn't really matter - Opertone is doing it hilariously wrong anyways (2 logis on a Broadsword? Really? You didn't even need that BEFORE they nerfed the plex). Your main tank is your signature radius, indicating using a HAC or HIC to tank with a logi ship supporting it. Surviving the initial warpin when you're webbed to 0 m/s is a priority; the Broadsword works, as do both of the Gallente HACs and the Proteus. I haven't run the site with any other ships, but quite a few work ...
You can tank Inzi Kika and his cohorts fairly easily in an Ishtar (that's 1723 kinetic damage and 223 thermic - plays nicely into the Ishtar's base resists like most Guris :p); there's no ship in the game that can tank AND gank him solo except for probably supercarriers and/or a max-skilled Thanatos running 5 DCUs.
