I'll be there with my alt. I'll also see who I can bring from my alliance.
Can anyone tell me whether or not you get reimbursed if your ship is destroyed? I've never done the testing before so I am just wondering how that part works. Also do your skills get maxed out or do you use what skills you have? I had heard of people having their skills maxed out for some tests. Again, just trying to get information.

It works just like on the real server. Remember though, this is a copy of your character (and all the Item&ISKs) taken some time (a few weeks(?)) ago from Tranquilty onto Singularity, so you do not need to cry. You can easily buy a new ship&setup ... almost everything is priced at 100 ISK at some stations. Sometimes yor skills are maxed out, mostly not.
Alright, thank you for the information.

Why was a test announced pretty much an hour after it was supposed to start?

Originally by: Hakaru Ishiwara The funny thing is that CCP has openly talked (see 2009 Fanfest videos) about their logging capabilities and proprietary metrics gathering tools [to paraphrase]. CCP is [my assumption] gathering much more data from Tranquility activity than we know or are being told about.
With great frequency on Tranquility do massive numbers of players gather and perform the very actions that are requested of those in the "mass" testing sessions. To not put the resulting log files and bits captured seems like a completely wasted opportunity to observe and record the herds in the wild.
I think more specifically what they are doing in essence is bug hunting. Getting people to perform specific actions at a specific time to try and recreate what is actually happening. They may be able to get lots of data on TQ but since they aren't able to control and see what exactly is causing the lag, then its not able to help them.

Originally by: CCP GingerDude Allow me to apologize for this mess. It was my bad. Although we had some issues in getting the patching to work for all because of last minute issues, it was an experimental feature we enabled in a fit of optimism that went very very wrong and basically borked the whole test cluster.
But, the important thing is that on Saturday, we will be testing a potential patch to deal with the "stuck-on-jumping in fleet fights" issue. This patch has shown great promise in localized tests but we need to see how/if it performs with hundreds of pilots beating on it. Please spread the word and bring friends over. Let's find out if we're TQ ready with this!
**** happens.
What time will the mass test on Saturday be at?

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION
CCP has created a program called Sisilauncher that helps with the installation with sisi. It has worked very well for me and many others. It's still in beta form so it's not perfect yet. Always try and use this program first before doing anything with the sisi client if the client is not working. For instance, my client had a different build so it was saying I had to download the client all over again. I ran the launcher and it has kept me from having to download the thing all over again. Here is the link to download it: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1377944
There are a few important ingame channels that can help you get information about the mass test. Masstesting - This channel is usually used by CCP to relay instructions to the players about the steps that will happen next during the test. Moveme - This channel has either a bot or CCP person and they will move you to the destination of the test. There are also usually two fleet channels where you can go and asked to be moved into a certain fleet. They vary but usually are fleet x and fleet y.
Also, CCP has now started giving 2 million skillpoints for each time you come to the mass testing. The skillpoints probably do disappear after a new mirror but they are still nice. I know that the skillpoints from the last test have stayed until this test.
PS: It is VERY helpful if you create a bugreport. Information for creating one is here in this thread: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=585921

I'm just wondering if I should bring a cap or not.
Yeah people bring them all the time. Cap ships still help because you still have to jump per se and load the grid and all that.

Ok, but how do I jump then? Is some helpful soul going to pop a cyno on the other side or what?
Yeah usually CCP has a cyno set up for the cap ships and can give you extra fuel/cap if you need it to jump. It may take a minute for them to get to you but they will. If you want less hassle, bring a BS.
