Depends what you mean by "Doing anything of merit".
How about him being the first person many times over, to have been the first person to obtain every skill in the game.
That, and also I'm sure his name is known by more people in eve than your name.
He is achieving the goals he has set out to get, besides, who says that Tripoli isnt a highly skilled alt, already maxed in his field and being used to fund another uber account used for pvp?

Congrats, Trip! An impressive accomplishment.
It'll be awhile before I reach that goal. So far, I can fly any shuttle and any T1 frigate...

Added 6 more ship command skills today....3 freighters and 3 carrier races....
Only thing left are is the exumer skill and the 4 titan skill books,which i'm still working pretty hard on making that 20 billion isk for the books....Crazy obbjectives aren't cheap for sure...

I am impressed.
I want to do same. My Problem only is, i only fly ships, which i can build. And then i want build it. And if i built it, i want fly it for a while and then sell it.
And yet, i cannot bild every ship. Will take some time longer.

I'm getting close though (relatively speaking). Last time I checked EVEMon it said there's 20 modules (well, 9 modules, 2 bombs, 5 implants, and 4 drones to be precise) I can't use.

Some people are just that dumb unfortunately,as making 30 billion just to buy the skills alone,thru honest means isn't easy,not to mention the time needed to train them all up to the point that Tripoli has,even with the best implants,is also impressive...
I will get those last 4 titan skills myself this year too.

Ladies and gentlemen,the gallente titan skill was plugged in a couple of hours ago and is now in training to lvl 2....I can now fly a gallente titan,but that 4.95 billion for the skill book alone left a mark on the ol wallet....Ouch.
