Ive been playing eve off and on since 2003 and i have seen many good things change and develop, however the one thing that i feel that is letting the game down is that i feel the eve universe is now to big with the number of people that play.
In order to expand, develop and make the game smaller, badder and longer lasting i would like to see the universe made smaller. this can be done in a number of ways fewer systems, random wormholes not connected to the current map Or four new supergates has been created(possible expansion), this allows for a quick travel between market hubs.
This would allow the large corps and alliances to further control trade and occupy the nmost rewarding systems and to expand Imangine AAA, PL, IT, EK etc going to build a even better empire which will reward them more but it would then allow the younger corps and alliances to start building up as renters.
This i feel would make the game more interesting and then gives scope for more expansions to come. What happens when we get more and more people in the game there is only so many systems
What do people think.
Is the current universe too much
or
do we need less space to occupy

yea I think eve is too big, but you seem to just want to reduce travel time, why not reduce the amount of space available?
chop off every other system. make people really fight over everything!

I'd like to see the islands of high sec areas as well. Could have different high sec areas be controlled by the four race factions, and then maybe throw in some bonus areas like jove space. Would make economies become very diverse and the prices for minerals for those that aren't in that area would skyrocket. Could make the economic situation become a lot more cutthroat. Also, freighting materials from one high sec area to another would be an extreme task.

We could try removing all that empty space on the edge of the map that all the carebears never use... What do you call it? Null Sec?
Im sure everyone would be much better off then. Oh, and I might add, this is my signature. |

No to both questions. If anything the universe needs to get bigger but this wont happen till the the player base gets to 300K or 500K. Even then CCP would probably expand 0.0 So the bigger alliance would go in deeper, to make room for the lesser ones. But even then that stretching it. since there is a new sov system. ---

Yes Eve is way to big. My Main is 5 Years old and a mission runner. I barely use more than the three high sec systems my agent tells me to visit. I think if we could shrink eve down to High-sec everyone would win (although i would not notice it anyway ^^^). People would know each other much better, because there would be at least 1000 capsuleers in every system.
New friendships could be formed and because everything is high-sec, all the pirates would die out.
A smaller Eve has my vote

/this
Double the amount of nullsec systems and seed a small amount of 2~5 .5 system 'islands' in strategic places. The ability to have a safe market near established alliance territorys can only make the game better and induce traders to take the risk to supply what would be a thriving market.

Most crowded systems are also within CONCORD control. Perhaps this is a coincidence perhaps not. There is plenty of room for you friend, but you dont want to or havent thought of providing security for yourself. If the game worked this way, natural-selection world basically incur.
What do you think would happen if you artifically provided a whole population with security, food and water. It would explode, this is what has happened in High-Sec. Given the way CCP earns money, they would be encouraging this development as it is per subscription based. So perhaps we are seeing a game in devolvement that the devs do not care of ;) There are shareholders to appease these days

This is hard to believe!! People want a smaller eve- whereas I want it at least 10 times bigger! More, in fact.
There are like 4 trade hubs, every region has like 1 or 2 mission hubs, belts are mined out regularly, free high sec moons are hard to find.... and people want a smaller universe!!!
Make it real and give us at least a small galaxy.
