Howdy, currently I am working my way towards flying Command Ships (more specifically Damnation and Absolution because i've read they're most popular) even though i am training Gallente frigate V for Interceptors and Assault Ships and plus i am kinda feeling discouraged to train CSs from conflicting views on them.
Either way, I was wondering when i go to train the necessary skills to fly the Damnation i see it has more launcher points than turrets and i am stumped to which i should bother training first, i mean i have a fair amount of hybrid turret skills now so it wouldn't be as difficult to train for the lasers, but on the other hand i have looked into many battleclinic loadouts and most use rocket.
Any help would be awesome! Thanks

Edited by: scoutsacoutanus on 15/02/2010 06:15:47 Damnation missiles are really secondary to getting as much tank and 3 gang links on there (gang link the main things) so go for absolution if you don't have excellent leadership skills imo.
ps: for pvp?

Gang-links, Gang-links, Gang-links. Weapons are pointless since you will always be out damaged by a t1 frigate. Fit to do a specific function when in gangs, like clearing drones/tackle, secondary eWar, cap-support etc. Works pretty well using Assault launchers for the tackle clearing for instance.

You should be fitting something like this:
[Damnation, New Setup 1 copy 1] Damage Control II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II True Sansha Energized Thermic Membrane 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Target Painter II Warp Disruptor II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Assault Missile Launcher II, Bloodclaw Fury Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher II, Bloodclaw Fury Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher II, Bloodclaw Fury Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher II, Bloodclaw Fury Light Missile Armored Warfare Link - Damage Control Armored Warfare Link - Passive Defense Armored Warfare Link - Rapid Repair
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Hobgoblin II x5
Its there for bonus's nothing more. If u wanna CS that does damage get the abso. You can fit heavys and an AB but takes a 3% pg implant and personally i have other implants in those slots

Sure if you giving bonus's to big 0.0 fleets while sat in a pos, if your doing that then why fit anything to the ship at all apart from links and command processors? Some of us aren't however and need other mods

If you're only going to run 3 links, Legion will do the job better anyways. Fit ECCM and run your links from a safespot.

And just a quick nooby question. Would it be better to use missiles on this baby over turrets since i won't be doing much damage, i would still be doing some damage to a ship as long as they don't fly faster than the speed of the explosion?
And these questions are all for pvp/fleet battle aspect on account i didn't think these babies can pve much. Besides, flying in big fleets or even gangs are what i hope to do!:D

Damnation is built for fleet work; you're probably wasting your time if you aren't tanking it to hell and giving it lots of warfare link modules. If you want to actually kill anything, then buy and absolution. The damnation is a support ship.
As stated earlier, fill it up with plates and armor HP rigs, and armored warfare links. Add missiles as you can fit, hope you don't have to kill anything yourself.
