and probably the others are broken. They dont pick up (abandoned) ships? Does it only work if theres a pilot in it? --

How do you use em? Do you need to launch from different places to scan?

this sounds like something i tested in one of the latest test-builds with a corp mate. we couldnt pick each other up with the 3au probes consistantly, altho we sat only 100k km from each other. it seemed to work randomly tho.

They certainly don't pick up abandoned ships, corpmate was using them earlier.

They do work, just take alitle getting used to. What you need to do is put 3 probes at 3 different points to get a triangulation on the derlict ship. It then scans 3au within that triangle and only 1au outside the triangle. The EXODUS manual explains it better.
