Here's a scenario.
Three people go mining; A, B, and C.
Person A is in an Orca.
Person B and C are in Hulks. (or any mining barge, for that matter.)
All three have mining foreman skilled up to lvl 5.
I want to arrange these three players to maximize yield boosts.
Me and a couple corp-mates were trying this the other night, and the miners couldn't ever benefit from the wing booster. We could get squad booster, but not wing booster to effect yield rate.
Does the wing commander have to command more than one squad? What skills does the wing commander need?

If you are using gang links on the Orca, which I assume you are, then move that character to the squad commander with the two hulk pilots as squad members. Essentially you need an unbroken chain of command for bonuses to be passed down. The Leadership 1 will be enough for 2 squad members, any more than this joining the squad will need higher levels or nobody gets the bonuses.
You don't need to be wing commander to pass your bonuses down, squad commander is enough.

But what about wing bonuses???
I was under the impression that if the Orca pilot had wing command skill, he could be the wing commander and have the wing bonus.
Then this bonus would stack on top of the squad booster. In effect:
A: Orca Pilot, wing commander, wing booster
B: Hulk Pilot, squad commander, squad booster
C: Hulk Pilot, squad member.
This should work.. right? The Hulk pilots should get both a wing bonus and a squad bonus.. right?

Only the bonus of the booster with the highest level in this skill is used.
To maximize yeld, set Orca as squad commander, fit him mining foreman - laser efficiency link, put mining foreman mindlink into hers pilot head, and train warfare link specialist. Hulk pilots shoud have michi's and HX-2 implants.
