About to step up to lvl II missions (just finishing a couple of lvl IĘs for 16th mission bonus) and IĘve come across an issue with my salvage ship. Using a Cormorant with 4 x salvager IĘs and a 1 x tractor beam I and it runs out of cap after the 8th or 9th wreck. Skills are at the 600k mark and ISK is tight, so my question is how long will the Cormorant be of use in mission grinding as was thinking of investing in rigs to boost the cap, or will it become redundant pretty quickly? DonĘt want to waste the 1.5m on rigs when I can save for a bigger boat if needed
And yes, 1.5m is a lot when your on the bottom rung and have limited play time, so stop laughing

Have you tried fitting for more cap recharge?
Something like this:
Salvager I x4 tractor beam x1
1mn afterburner cap recharger I x3
capacitor power relay I
Should be nearly stable with minimal skills, remember to turn off AB when you dont need it running.
Alternatively, you could fit a small capacitor booster I, and use the charges you get from mission loot.

I think we need to know your whole setup... are you using guns or have you just got the salvagers and the tractor, without other cap mods like suggested above it prob will run out.
And if you using guns dont salvage as you go with a cormurant kill everything then come back after refitting all the salvaging stuff and loot/salvage the wrecks.

Using it as a pure salvager as running missions with cruiser, hence where most of my ISK gone
At work, so canĘt check prices, but the tech II items are likely a no no as way too expensive at moment, so simply want the best solution for adding another 2 x salvage I modules and another tractor and have no cap run out. I read in another thread that the Cormorant should be sufficient for lvl 1 & 2 missions, and as IĘm only just in a position to take on lvl 2Ęs, should do the job for a while. My play time is limited as mentioned, so want to be in a position to blitz the clean up and move an ASAP, so waiting for cap charge sucks and simply want the quickest option to not have to worry about it. DonĘt mind spending a couple of days to get ISK for the parts as gain in the long run and get most from on

Your salvage cormorant is fine, especially if you don't have money anyway.
The fits posted should work. I'd put a cargo expander in the low, but w/e.
When your cap skills improve, the salvage cormorant will no longer cap out. _______________________________________________

Use a small capacitor battery (or two). Cap rechargers are useless if you burst your cap past your peak recharge (which you will with such a small capacitor and low skills). Besides that, a single battery gives you more recharge than a single recharger so it should always be your first mod.
edit: and just to remind you, there is still no divider between posts and sigs.

Having checked the item database, IĘm sure IĘve picked up a few of these items and will check out the ones I donĘt have. Thanks for input all. Should be enough advice to sort issue

I can speak from experience, using the Corm as a salvage/mission ship for level 1 missions. Level 2 missions can get pretty sticky if you plan on fitting the salvage gear plus guns.
My suggestion is to skill/save isk for the Caracal, the small drone bay helps can fit heavy missiles easily, damage mods in the lows. Great shield tank for level 2's you'll notice a major difference in mission completion times.
Will save you many warp outs/in with the corm in level 2's, turn the Corm into a pure salvage boat, no need to split the Corm in two. Complete the mission, bookmark, dock return to salvage. Level 1-2 salvage generally isn't worth much time as is, the quicker you can get yourself into a Drake for level 3's the better your time will be spent if Caldari is your cup of tea. I speak from experience.
P.S. ever need a wingman send me an evemail (I'm in caldari space) Also you don't have to complete 16 level 1 missions you could complete the 16th mission as level 2 and still get your storyline.
