I don't think Gallante ever had a ship that people were really afraid of, nothing that's really bad, but nothing that's incredibly powerful either...
Anyways, if you think how the Brutix measures up to the Ferox, look how it measures up to the Deimos, that's really more of a problem

I think the main reason for the no MWD in complexes rule is so you acctually have to fight your way from the warp in to the next acceleration gate. I have only played through one very easy complex, but in the end there were containers with loot floating around, if there were MWDs people would probaply just fo from gate to gate and loot the end instead of fighting their way through.
Does that make sense? Anyways, it's offtopic.
Gallante need better ships, down with Caldari/Amarr.

I think it's funny that the people who always say balancing doesn't matter play Caldari...
And balancing does matter, because if the devs would have wanted to create a game with only two races they would have done that instead of creating one with four of which only two get good ships...

Originally by: OffBeaT [...], they (Caldari) are a hard core combat race. NOT MINERS. there ships should reflect that.
Ahh, that means Caldari should have better ships then everyone else huh?
Oh yea, by the way, Caldari are ruled by a radical nearly fascist technocracy with litle regard for human rights, the amount of armed ships their citicens are allowed to own should reflect that too.
Hahaha.

How come Caladri has a Cruiser with a Mining bonus if they aren't miners?
Plus: Every advantage has to be bought with a disadvantage, since there are mining barges not being a "mining race" is not exactly a disadvantage is it now?

Because drones aren't the most efficient thing in the universe?
I mean there just is no droneship that is really incredibly scary, the Dominix is generally regarded as the weakest battleship in the game...

Edited by: Noriath on 28/11/2004 11:19:36 Hardly anyone launches drones because they are incredibly good, the drones you see are out there because Thorax (and some other ships) has the dronespace to spare, and it only takes some 10 days to get the skills to make full use of it.
I mean how come the battlefileds are bursting with Ravens and not with Dominixes? Oh, that's right...

Stop using Amarr as an example of why you are not overpowerd. Amarr are just as overpowered as Caldari.
This is about Gallante and Minmatar. Who ever complains about how overpowered Megathrons are? or Typhoons?
Nobody ever does, because compared to both Caldari and Amarr they just all stink. I'm not interested in hearing how Amarr ships can kill Caldari ships, what I'm interested in is why Gallante and Minmatar ships aren't as good as either Caldari or Amarr.

We'll see...
A change in projectile guns would definatly bring Minmatarr back, especially since they can deal loads of explosive damage...
I am always under the impression that the biggest problem of Gallante is that theyr cap goes bye bye before they are close enough to the enemy to make it count.
Also the fact that their main strength is supposed to be drones but theyr best drone ship is considered the worst battleship in the game is kinda sad.
