I was wondering what should race i should cross train in as I would like to be really good at 2 races. I was thinking minnie because I have shield tanking skills already but armor tanking amarrs are look interesting. I have bc 5 so I can take bcs out for pvp situations. What races would have a nice bc for pvp? I also can fly hacs and AFs but I just need to get the appropriate racial frigate/cruiser to lvl5(dont want to invest without figuring out what to get). I also plan on getting command ships and fly a nighthawk but is there another race commandship worth getting or better? I am currently working on support skills.
I have all my missile skills at lvl4 including heavy missile specialization. I also have all my shield skills at level 4 or higher with the exception of some compensations(my passive drake builds). I also have all gun support skills at level 4 with specialization in medium railguns(until I found out the DPS is horrible in almost every situation and went missle).

I'm also a Caldari Pilot I plan on training to Minimatar ships as my next race, as reading over many topics, point to Minimatar shining in pvp, solo and fleet ops, the Hurricane is a great ship from what I have read. best advice I can offer is reading the warefare and tactics. Also I have read Minimatar can be the most skill intensive to fly because of the versitility in shields/armor, missiles/guns.

Minnie and Caldari are a good combo, as you'll have a nice selection of gang and solo ships.
You really can't go wrong either way. Caldari/Gallente is the usual cross train since they share hybrids, but hybrids are pretty much garbage compared to autos and lasers.
The minnie BC and the caldari BC are both great ships. The nighthawk is fantastic for PVE and the sleip is a fun and effective CS for PVP.

just train whatever you like, just never cross train, crossing sp streams is deadly
I'd train anything but gallente at this point, and well maybe you should train galltente as by the time you have trained them they might get boosted

In your situation I would choose Minmatar, you already have tank, part of dps (missiles and drones) and support skills for rest of dps, you need only to get projectiles and minnie frigs/cruisers and you are set.

I cross trained Gallente and loved it, but armor tanking is a completely different concept, and I've recently started moving back towards Caldari for the shield tanking. I'm working towards a nighthawk now, because while I can pump out the dps in my Astarte, keeping my reppers running at the same time as my guns is proving to be difficult without sacrificing slots for cap stuff.
Amarr has some pretty wicked ships, but lasers are to cap what a fat kid is to cake. The Abaddon is one sexy looking ship too. I'll probably train them up next.

Every race has its strong points and weak points. Since the armor skills will apply to anything NOT Caldari . I would recomend a ship you want to fly , not a race you want to fly.And I dont mean "sit in the seat" . I mean spec out your favorite ship and let the skills be a by-product of getting that ship .

If lack of armor tanking skills is stopping you, don't let it. It's really really easy to get armor tanking skills (as good as) maxed out. Really, if you already have the passive hitpoint skills hull upgrades V and mechanic V (which you should have) it's only a matter of getting Repair Systems to V and your armor compensation skills to IV. This can be done in 2 weeks tops. Even without the aforementioned skills, it will take less than a month, as they're rank 1 and 2's.
That having said, just train what you like. Since you already have missile and gunnery skills, it won't really matter what you pick. If your drone skills are ****, well you can easily raise those to the point where you're pretty decent too.
