Since the new patch, I can log in but after a few minutes my whole system will crash. Does anyone know of any settings etc that may need disabling to stop it happening or is this how its gonna be few the next couple of weeks?
Please let me know if any others are having the same problem.
Cheers

Yep. Same here. I usually have to reboot my entire network to regain connectivity...

Dito. On 2 of my players my computer reboots right after I select them to log in with.
On my third character I can log in to the game, but only for about 30 seconds, then my computer reboots
I do not have any issues with other directx 9 games. I am using a radeon 9600 on Windows 2000 with 1gig dual channel mem and a pentium 3 ghz 1m cache

Ditto for me too - playing EVE one minute, bluescreening and rebooting the next. Not nice and rather scary.

Mine does the same.
Am running:
Athlon XP2000 512MB SD RAM Geforce 2 Gfx card (not entirely sure which one but its not and MX anyway)
Guess its driver update time for me too
----------------------------------------- Willing to do whatever I need to succeed |

I'm having similar problems. Exodus doesn't actually "crash" to the dreaded blue screen but just freezes after a random time period. It has been anything from 5 minutes to half an hour and at no particular location or activity. The only option to get out of it is to re-boot the computer and log in again. All my drivers are up to date and I have no issues with any other software. I'm just hoping a patch will soon be available to overcome this glitch. Anyone else getting the "freeze"?

I also am getting that dreaded blue screen you described, I have an ATI 9200 and a viewsonic monitor. My other computer has a Ti4200 and a NEC monitor does not have that problem even though they both are using the same download (full client) from CCP. CCP needs to check into this problem for there are many that have it.

Edited by: stats on 29/11/2004 16:47:46 YES! i am getting the same freeze, i totally lock up and i have to cut the power and reboot. i have reinstalled every driver and used various different 3rd party drivers. and it still happens, and it seems to be happening even MORE since i downloaded the 'optional' patch.
Before Exodus i would cdt ocationally. and sometimes the same freeze thing would happen if i tried to run eve as soon as i booted up. but now it happens all the bloody time!
It is infuriating, coz i cant fix it.
I have also used a different gfx card and a new set of ram chips (my initial suspition was some sort of ram leak) its as if the graphics card overloads.
reinstalling EVE isnt likely to help but im trying that now...

Hey everyone,
It's good to know others are having the same problems as me.
I've tried re-installing to no avail. And am just now trying to use the otional patch and new drivers for my graphics card but this seems to be having no effect with anyone else.
I sure hope CCP get on this and fix it soon....

Hi
Since Exodus - getting flickering of colours and freezes which become more frequent culminating in a crash to blue screen within 3-4 miinutes. No probs prior to this patch.
Whilst my nvidia ti4600 are not the latest they work fine..found that newer drivers gub my graphics for other games.
This is real annoying...tried the optional patch but that didn't improve things.

How many of you are using Creative sound cards (Or dell boxes, Some dell boxes use creative sound I think) ..
My reason for asking is cause when I have my sysem set to use the SB card then it bluescreens .. With it set for my SoundStorm then it's fine.. It's not an irq problem cause I can play winamp over the SB card while I play eve with no crashing.
