Hold left and right mouse button on an empty area next to the capacitor circle and drag the whole interface to the left or right.
Just left click. You can drag the capacitor itself, too, no need for this empty space bull****.

Its not hidden, you can make it watchable -> ESC -> General Settings -> Show Session Change Timer
Now you can see it in the left top corner ... i found it after 3 or 4 years...
This would be awesome. But I just tried it, flew my ship around, jumped through gates, and even self-destructed a shuttle.
On what part of the screen would I be looking for such a timer?

Wrong, it only reaches to about 14 AU, anything outside that, and you need to use probes.
