Gyruth's Bond
Purpose of the bond
The purpose of this bond is to increase the amount of capital I have to make my trading more successful. To increase my NAV to a point that, given my current skills, I will be able to optimize the performance of my trading.
Trading History
I am an up and coming trader that is at the start of his career. So far I have gone from 10 million to approximately 180ish million in assets. I have been trading in Rens doing station trading only. I have sold mostly tech 2 modules, a few ships, and have been moving into other items.
Auditing
I have read about the active auditors in the forums, and will be contacting one to perform my audit. I will participate in an audit before and after the bond is over to show my progress and prove I am able to expand myself as a trader and am fully capable of making use of the additional capital provided by investors.
Risks
Potential for a scam - After discussing this bond in some detail with Commercant Epique, I understand that scamming is a daily activity in EVE for some. This is not the case for me, it is obvious that trust will be an issue but, the only way to prove I am trustworthy and not a scammer is to be trusted and given a chance to prove myself.
Potential for the ISK being lost - I will only doing station trading, I will not be hauling anything around during the duration of this bond.
The Bond Itself
The bond will be for 500 million ISK. The duration of the bond will be 2 weeks. The interest rate on the bond will be 8% per week for a grant total of 16% interest for the total bond. Each share will be worth 25 million ISK.

Commercant Epique - 2 shares (50 million ISK) - Not Paid (spoke in game)
Summary
This is my first bond in the game, I fully intend to make it a successful one. I realize that because I am a new player this investment is "high risk". I feel that because this investment is high risk for the investor they need to be compensated. I will pay 16% interest rate over a period of two weeks. I appreciate any interest shown in the bond and look forward to speaking with the investors about any questions or concerns they may have.

Your interest rate is well inline with a new borrower in the forums and that will do you well. Additionally though, it is customary to put up collateral to cover the investors potential loss, should you scam them or fail in your repayment terms. Subject to an audit and some form of collateral, I will pickup the remaining 18 shares.

Either way, I can take 4 shares, funds to be transfered within 4 hours of confirmation of this post. (have to get to a different computer) Don't need collateral nor do I need audit (Although, its still good to get one)

He doesn't NEED to give out collateral with his current interest rate.The rate reflects the potentiall risk that comes with it.If he however wishes to put up collateral or the investors will only invest if he does then he can tune down his interest rate a lot.
Building up trust goes faster without collateral then with in my book.
The statement above btw does not reflect if you should or should not invest i am pointing out the perspective from the person seeking a loan not those who invest.

Update: I have accepted Varo Jan's terms of the audit which is 50 million ISK.
I have sent my API key and 50 million ISK to Varo Jan and am awaiting confirmation.
I am setting up a time line of interest payments and the offical bond start/end time on the first thread.
The bond will offically start on 2010.02.26 at 00:01
The bond will offically end on 2010.03.12 at 00:01
The first interest payment will be paid on 2010.03.05 by 00:01
The last interest payment will be paid on 2010.03.12 by 00:01
The bond will be paid back in full by 2010.03.12 by 00:01
All of the times listed are game time the only way these will change is if the audit is not completed or the funds are not received by these times.

Audit Report on Gyruth
I was given full access to one account consisting of one character, Gyruth. He responded promptly and professionally to all my questions.
According to Gyruth, this is the only active character, there are no inactive accounts, no characters have been biomassed, and no characters have been bought or sold.
The account is paid in cash. No PLEXs or GTCs have been used to fund the account.
Character

Male Amarr, Amarr, created on 28/01/10.
1.9m SP. No skills at Level 5. Medical clone sufficient, no capability for jump clones, a full set of +3 implants.
Training has been highly focused, with 84% in two areas:
1.All eleven training skills are at level four û 950k SP.
2.Trading skills 600k SP. All range skills have been trained to L3. The 3 cost related skills are at L3 or 4. Retail 4 gives Gyruth 53 orders, and he is currently training Retail 5.
Employment History
He has been a member of the NPC corporation, Hedion University, since his birth a month ago.
Posting History

Gyruth spends between 3 and 4 hours a day in-game. His sole current activity is trading, which he started around a week ago.
He station trades in one region. Orders are updated at least four times a day, often many more times. He believes a war dec would not affect his ability to trade.
Financial Information
The only assets are an Impairor and an Iteron.
There is no public contracts history.
Buy orders in escrow: 107m.
Sell orders: 31m
Cash: 96m
Net asset value, excluding ships, amounts to 235m.
There was ample evidence of trading in prior buy and sell orders. There were 454 expired or fulfilled sell orders and 187 expired or fulfilled buy orders. Items traded included modules, implants and some ships. Sell prices ranged from 12k to 11m. Buy prices ranged from 7k to 9m. Those averages are currently significantly higher.
There were 1060 transactions in 10 days for 780 clients, and 1301 journal entries in 4 days. All journal entries bar one were market related. The exception was my fee.
Conclusion
API pull constraints and the volume of transactions in a very short time make it impossible to provide anything more than a very limited snapshot of Gyruth¦s activities.
Since his birth a month ago he has managed to generate 235m by station trading. The changing pattern of his orders, and the increase in average size could indicate that he has been able to scale up as more cash became available.
His training has been highly focused to benefit his trading activities. In fact, it is so focused for a new player that I asked him to reconfirm that this was his only character and is not a trading alt.
His response was, ôGyruth is my one and only character.ö
The bond size (500m) is appropriate to his capabilities.

Varo thank you for confirming that you will be doing the audit.
Investors, I just wanted to let you all know that in approximately the first 24 hours of trading I have raised my NAV from 275 million ISK (approx.) to 857.53 million ISK. 500 million ISK being investor ISK of course. Leaving me with having made an 82 million ISK profit. This is much higher then the 10 - 30 million ISK per day I had been making in the past. I will post another update most likely shortly before or after the first interest payment.

With the possibility of Commercant Epique being a scammer it has raised an interesting moral dilemma, who do I pay Commercant's shares to? Well, after much consideration I have determined that the only right thing to do is to not keep the investment and the interest but rather to pay it to Commercant's investors. Even if it is determined that what Commercant said about being hacked and such is true, and Commercant was not a scammer I hardly think that repaying a small portion of Commercant's public debts would be seen as a bad thing.
I will be paying Commercant's shares and interest out to one of the following options:
Option A:
Zero Copper - 1.3 million ISK
Snibeecha - 5.2 million ISK
Erialor Godsent - 7.8 million ISK
Ji Sama - 14.3 million ISK
Magnu Stormhawk - 13 million ISK
ArtemisSDS - 7.8 million ISK
Aeon SkyWatcher - 2.6 million ISK

Zero Copper - 216,650 ISK
Snibeecha - 866,600 ISK
Erialor Godsent - 1,299,900 ISK

While I realize that these are very small amounts of ISK I feel this is the right thing to do. I need some input in order to make a decision on which option to choose. I personally feel that mechtech should have announced publicly that he gave the money to Commercant Epique if he was aware of the bond Commercant had running. However, I don't feel that making that mistake would necessarily disqualify him from being repaid in this small portion of repayment.
I will be posting a link to my bond thread on Commercant's bond thread to let the investors there know of my intentions.
A note about my bond: Everything is still going well, I did manage to come down with a rather annoying cold however, I have still been trading, not as frequently as I would have liked to have, but everything is still going well and the bond will be repaid on time.

I applaud your decision, although be prepared to receive some flames for it. Personally, I would restrict the compensation to those scammed through the bond otherwise you leave yourself open to pretty much anyone claiming that they were scammed by him in game. This would then make it hard to justify compensating Mechtech but not these others.
I leave out the point that Mechtech's actions may well have caused much of the problem in the first place (although this is a bit less clear since some of the alts have come to light).

While I applaud the sentiment, you should understand that you have no obligation to those persons who invested with CE. As with real world investing there is always a risk of loss and it is a risk that one must assume when turning funds over to someone else.
Reguardless, keep up the good work and do what you think is best with CE's funds. Lotto ticket man has a good idea.

Bonne, this bond is already in progress all shares are purchased. There are plenty of other bonds on the Market Discussions forums. I am not sure if there are any in the beginning stages at this time but, this bond is filled search around market discussion and you can find other offers out there.

At this time I am unsure if I will be running another bond, at least not right now. Who knows what the future will hold.

I noticed an error when I was reviewing the payout amounts, I calculated the payouts based off of 52 million ISK which was incorrect the actual payout will be 54 million ISK.

I feel that this bond was extremely successful I increased my NAV to more then the bond's value after repayment and fees associated with running the bond.
Varo will be performing the final performance audit to verify everything I said is true. I paid the bond out early simply because I am preparing for moving to a new city about 3 hours away. Preparing for the move and getting sick impacted my ability to trade as much as I would have like to but, even with those obstacles it was still a successful bond.
