I personally favor eve-kill for self serving reasons. BC is unreliable and in honesty I like the simplicity of eve-kill?
What about you, oh mighty forum dwellers, what killboards do you use and why?

eve-kill all the way.
This has surpassed the Yarrdware specification and has been dubbed Uberware. |

EVE-kill.net has no sorting or search features (at least, if it does, it's well hidden).
Battleclinic is far more organized and well-designed, EVE-kill is extremely amateur in comparison.

Both.
BC has my API key just because a lot of boards do still feed from it.

eve-kill is much better.
The cool thing about eve-kill is you can search for say just "Curse" losses and have a look at what people fit.
Sadly of course, most of them are garbage, just like BC, but it's an easy way to get ideas or see what people are fitting.

This.
My Corp uses Eve-Kill for corp stuff. But for statistics and analysis (kill points in BC have a very good system) BC wins. Looking fittings and writing comments ist so much easier in eve-kill. ------ Make Lowsec useful! Vote in the CSM-Forum! |

The login gate for Battleclinic is enough for me to just ignore any links that go to it most of the time, even though I do have one it's not worth my time usually.
Besides that the interface is ugly and doesn't present the information in an effective fashion.

Agree, some people such as yourself don't know how to click on tabs to get the info. you need. In other words you have to be smarter than the website in order to use it. Works just fine for me and no reason not to have a login. FYI, every site login or not knows you were there.

Going through the login = :effort: Clicking through the tabs = :effort: Waiting on the flash **** to load = :effort: ****ing with the whole UI = :effort: Thus, using BC = :effort:
It's not that we aren't smart enough to use it, its that a site should present itself in a reliable and easy to use way. Instead, BC presents us with :effort: to use it. Just because you can use flash and extensive CSS doesn't mean that you should.
Of the two killboards, I have found Eve-Kill to have a better filter set and more interesting (and pertinent) data.

Eve-Kill is best IMO.
Not keen on BC layout, or the login.

So hang on there for a couple of hours and everything will be good (hopefully)

Yes, create a free killboard. Add API keys.
Click the renew link once every 3 months so we don't delete your board :)
Problem solved!

Although EVE-Kill has a minimalistic charm, Id have to say Battleclinic as EVE kill seems to be missing about 70 of my kills ============================ 2003 and still alive! |

I will most likely be using eve-kill when I get into pvp, have used it for previous characters / corps and it's been good. I always use battleclinic for reference though when checking other people out, also use battleclinics load-outs page a lot.
On the comments about having to log into battleclinic just to see a killmail and such, you should only have to log in once as whenever I visit the site I am always logged in, so apart from having to register and log in once it is really a non-issue (unless you use public computers of-course).
