I dident say other MMO's dont crash. I said they all do it! It might not be to you but i have a problem with paying for a game i cant play.

I was out jetcan mining, for the love of god get the server up, before the jetcans die 
In other news, a guy at CCP HQ stumbled over an electrical cord, and offlined half the server park.

You can play it... just not right at this very minute. Really, I thought we got over the whole instant gratification need after the age of 2.
If you are really bothered perhaps you could ask for the 10 cents, or whatever it is that this amount of downtime relates to, back as a refund? Not that I'd call you petty for doing so.... oh wait, yes I would.

I am petty because i paid for something that i cant use? you need to take a look at the world man. Lets say you buy a car and i take it away from you at 8am when you have to go to work, would you be annoyed?

i think it is you still train when the servers restarted and during major updates
