It's been a while since we had a power bloc map, so I took five minutes to do it myself. Credit goes to the people behind the influence map, obviously.

nice job, however drones- and south coalition colors are way to similar as they are neighbors in map

The Stain Wagon and the Southern Coalition are pretty much the same powerblock. See SYS-K and <ROMAN> active in Providence in AAA fleets etc. ---

Not really; they are two independent power blocs working with each other. Just like they work with IT, etc.

True enough I guess.
Would be nice to see a coalition map with NAPs shown on it. ---

Stainwagon & -A- are about as independent from IT as MC and FIX were independent from BoB.

This is difficult to explain, but to make a long explanation short the Southern Coalition is only united when dealing with external factors/threats, but have no all-encompassing bluelist among themselves (like the NC or Provi holders do).

Providence is a single region, and their powerblock is the smallest in eve. So I'd hardly describe it as an en-compassing blue list. ---

As was quite clearly demonstrated when IT started invading SE after SE reset their blue standings and only called it off when SE blued them again.
Oh wait, that proves the exact opposite of what you are saying. My bad.

I mean in the sense that if you are an alliance that is part of the Providence Holders block you are required to have all the other members of the Providence Holders block set blue, and they are in turn are required to set you blue. The size of the coalition or the region doesn't factor into this distinction. PrimaryDot alliance on the other hand for example is neutral to -A-, -A- affiliates (U'K, R.O, etc), most members of Stainwagon (hello Sys-k) and a crapload of other SC members.

Only if you define IT Alliance as the entirety of the SC for the purposes of your example. Then that would be applicable.

Kudos on the map, it looks really nice.
How did you pull that off? Is that just some Photoshop trickery with my map, or did you use the map code itself to generate a new one? ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

The reason I used green for IT and blue for the NC was that the NC's borders fade nearly to black in some places while IT's are more well-defined, and for some reason blue made the NC's more distinct. However, I found a way to fix this so IT will be changed to blue and NC will become green. The SC will stay red for now.

So does anybody know how c0ven should be marked? It sounds like SK runs stainwagon, so it seems like resetting them could make c0ven either independent or southern coalition. Is anybody invading them yet?

Hey, thanks. It's just photoshop (actually gimp). I took a look at the alliance map tool and I don't think I'm smart enough to make it work
