So yeah, holding Providence is one of their goals. But giving up extending beyond that also goes against their goals, and giving into AAA obviously effects their pride. AAA space being the only direction they could have expanded? Pride. Basically they were too proud to set aside their territorial ambitions in one area even though it could easily cost them all the progress they've made towards their goals. (Time for Godwin and oh-so-serious WW2 comparison!) It's like when Germany decided to invade Russia, throwing away the ****-Soviet Pact when there were still other avenues of expansion open to them. Since 1) CVA moved against .-A-., 2) we've been at war with them since ever, 3) there was no other front to occupy the attention of .-A-., 4) we had reached the numbers and infrastructure/ ship capabilities (fielding 250 people with more than 150 BS in fleet is power projection, however you want to spin it), it was a joint op, that is proceeding very well. CVA's strategic decision was pretty much stomping on a mine to see what it does. They wanted to expand, we wanted them to contract. We brought more power to bear, so their actions backfired on them. They can cry as much as they want about lag, but it is a double edged sword and has affected us as well. They just fail to take advantage of the terrain/ situation due to their inexperience. Just to give you an idea, a couple of days we jumped into them in Y-MP. How come they failed to slaughter us all, 50% of our fleet didn't load grid? I had to relog, and fully expected to have died, Atlas jumped in first and suffered heavy losses, but managed to come through very nicely. If they had set up on the gate as we jumped in instead of watching Freighters slowboat through their bubble (in which they sat, hugging the gate), they might have turned the tide. As long as CVA refuses to fight, they'll never get battle hardened, so they will keep losing. Ah, as an aside BC gangs will never win over BS fleets, so that's another fail of CVA+pets. So, to answer the OP, "God helps those that help themselves." I always thought that if an opposing force controlled foreign sovereignty for more than 24 hours (works in real case scenario too) they would be considered the "aggressors". Again it's only normal to defend if feeling threaten. Still sucks that you guys are so terrible at this game, and have become what you were supposedly fighting against. Death to the southern pets forever!!!

When -A- asked for an apology from CVA they went "Na ah we have our pride to consider", by that they pretty much told -A-/U'K/AAAC/ENGRD to come duke it out with broken bottles and cue sticks, unfortunately, as it turns out, most of the providence lot are nerds with broken glasses whereas the "southern coalition" have been spending a days in the gym. Southern Coalition is in quotation since atlas and sys-k only very recently showed up to help their buddies pummel the geeks that thought they were tough. Also as a note, it is NOT CVA vs Southern Coalition, it is Providence (all the holders and their pets) vs -A-/U'K/AAAC/ENGRD and now also atlas and sys-k even though the other side is now trying the "bear defence trick" of playing dead.

But he made a valid points. CVA (those who really run things,RP etc) arent just 12 year old baby's who cries when **** hits the fan and game isk/terrotory is at risk. At the end its a game and you play with your rules, if you dare. Some ratters/fat will be lost, cries wept over, but thats EVE. Ofc provi was good hunting ground to pirates because of amount of population on belts/plexes, and also good land to pirate hunters to catch nano vagas cloaking and driving back to gate (classic ushra'cloak tactic). Things might get quiet down there abit, or not, who knows. So provi residence who are crying atm, please get hold of yourself, or if you cant, you didnt belong 0.0 anyway. Empire is better for you. and before trolls of "lol you leaved CVA also, enter smack here", we actually were kicked out of CVA buy using (ingame) drugs illegal in amarr space (mainly exile boosters ), and happened before any invasion attempts on any directions. Still there is a lots of good guys whom i met and know, and miss. And like always, i was drunk while typing so grammar police the text is yours
