In the average SC battle they're pretty much alpha'd straight through their entire structure, so I don't know how you think getting your timing accurate enough to be in the last 25% both on your client and on the server is going to work.
You're looking at hitting a button in the last ~100,000ehp when each of the other Nyx's shooting you is doing 10,000 a second, not to mention the Titans and support fleet primarying you.
You're basically trying to get this within a single server tick, and it's not going to happen.

Did you do something stupid and get tackled in your capital ship or any ship with significant numerical structure EHP? OH NO!
Don't panic, all you have to do is time your eject so that your ship dies to loss of skills (<25% structure) and you will be spared any lossmail embarrassment, with no troublesome 2 minute self-destruct timer to wait on! It's like it never happened!
Easily avoid killmails and never let anyone get an expensive kill on you! Just eject at the right time and laugh at the people who spent effort trying to trap you, because that's what EVE is about, right? No consequences for screwing up and getting tackled, just use this handy working-as-intended method that gives you a free pass!
Feel free to go back to nattering about adding killmails for self-destructs while leaving this massive hole unaddressed!
If you actually think the killmail is worse than losing couple of billions worth of ship and equipment, then I feel for you my friend. However, what you think is wrong because you are bad. If my enemies would kill themselves I'd be happy. |
