Ive gone for the DuraMaller approach with this, it seems to work pretty well:
PG 1500 with Engineering 5
Highs: 4 x heavy Pulse T2 2 x medium Pulse T2 1 x Arbalest
Meds:
100MN AB T2 Webifier Cap recharger T2
Lows:
3 x Cap Power Relay 1 2 x Small Armour Repair T2 1 x Adaptive Nano Plating
I'm having probles mith this setup
I want to fit a tracking computer, but if i remove that cap recharger I wont get the 10cap/sec recharge ratio I need to sustain everything.
Also the 2 armour repairs cant handle the avarage dam dished out at lev 3 missions indefinitly.
I need the tracking comp to hit the inties. Sure I got 5 drones, but thats not enough sometimes.
I need 1 more low slot and 1 more med slot... Now i could loose the heavy pulses, but the range on them is becoming necessery. Plus with the 10% ship cap bonus for them is making them almost on par with the small pulses.
1 med repair does not have enough juice either...
Any sujestions?

on singularity i ran:
6x focused medium beam 1x heavy launcher
1x 10mn mwd 1x webber 1x recharger
1x med armour repair T2 1x energized (rat specific or another adaptive if you feel adventurous) 1x energized adaptive 3x cap relay
should be more than you need for lvl 3s
all mods are standard T1 mods unless otherwise specified, if you can squeeze better ones in go for it

Why are you using cruiser sized guns?
This is what I would try:
6x Medium Pulse 2 1x Nosferatu/Missile Launcher/Whatever you like
1x 100 MN AB 2 2x Large Cap Battery 2 or X-Larage
2x Small Armor Rep 2 2x Hardners for wahtever you are fightin. 1x Caprelay
I think that is about it's slot layout. -------------------------

More dammage and range thats why. I'll give the frigate only guns setup a try, just seems a bit of a waist of a ship bonus.

Why am I using cruiser guns? Why shouldn't I? Cruiser sized pulses are good, better than your medium pulse tech2 for sure.

his: light neutron blasters / medium pulse/beams med: mwdo or 100mnAB, stasis, biggest cap thingy u can put lows: 1 med armor repairer, small(med if u have the pg) armor repairer, 2 hardeners (either 15% to all or 50% to one), capacitor power relays
in other words: Duramaller v2.0

Not far off mine, pretty good ship/setup, doesnt need much of a tank akin to battleships as if you face turret bs, you dont get hit as much. __________________________________________

That's exactly what I am using, apart:
2 x Large Peroxide I Capacitor P. Cells instead of the T2 ones.
And for lows: 3 x hardeners (i am fighting angels atm) 1 x T2 med armor repairer 2 x CPR
Btw... where did you find the T2 large cap battery ???????? I have been looking for one on the market/escrow for months and NEVER found one !

Mediums actually. and I took down both of my corpmates prophecy's (which were using lasers). It's extremely good, and having no cap use for guns makes the huge capacitor on the prophecy over more overwhelming. I can practically run my Armor rep and AB autorepeat and almost hit 1km/s. Also, the falloff on those turrets are REALLY good. Even with EMP or PP I hit 13-15km (even though only 9600 f/o) and 800 optimal or so.
Plus, named projectiles are cheap. I picked up a nice load on the forums (scouts and proto 220s and 180s) for under a mil

Hm, sure that artillery version is better than a classic cruiser pulse setup?
At the moment I'm running 4 named cruiser sized pulses, two modulated quad beams (very good tracking vs. frigs) and an XR-3200 heavy launcher. That way you get the 10% cap use bonus on the lasers...

At the moment I'm running 4 named cruiser sized pulses, two modulated quad beams (very good tracking vs. frigs) and an XR-3200 heavy launcher. That way you get the 10% cap use bonus on the lasers...
