I've been around the MMO market many a time, name a big MMO and I most likely played it.
Of all the MMOs: CCP has been one of if not THE best game publisher on the market, so I thought I'd do the pansy thing and make a thread thanking them for all the hard work they do to keep this game amazing and adding content other publishers wouldn't even dream of.
Now I'm not saying CCP is by far a perfect business model, they've done some things that rubbed me the wrong way and I even left due to one of these things, but I've come to realize that like people, no corporation can be PERFECT all the time. So while there will be flaws and speed bumps, I can honestly say this is the one MMO I've played of late that made me feel like the higher ups actually listen to our input.
Thank you all CCP employees for keeping this game sharp.
Now give me 1 billion ISK.

It's the only game I have played where now and again I say to myself 'oh that's clever' with a game mechaic. To be honest I sometimes say 'wow that is a dumb, what the hell were they thinking?' but normally only to the UI.
The way I look at it EVE is unique and not as derivative as most other games so of course they will make mistakes now and again. But at least they tend to admit them rather than throw marketing platitudes at us.

EvE online is like a sandbox for me. At first I got there, like a child I sat in the desert that is the sandbox and just let it run through my hands. I got bored of that quickly and moved on.
I got older and realized what you can do in the sandbox. You can make little holes or big holes. You can bring the sand from one place to the other. Sometimes people will push you down in the sand but you can use the sand to throw it in their face and run away! Eventually you gain more experience and you can build castles of sand and you are transporting tons and tons of sand across the deserts to people who will pay you lot's of money. You have to watch out for the bandits else they'll try and attack your caravan and steal your things.
EvE is a great game like that and I'm never gonna give it up, never gonna let it down, never gonna run around or desert it. ♪

This game has many faults but it's still a staggering achievement and the only game to ever keep me interested for 5 years

ive tried other mmos and they bore me, eve fascinates me every time i log in. Thank you CCP! id love to work for CCP because they push the technological envelope for gaming and they are creative and have the "can do" spirit that no others seem to have and i wish i could add to the input of progress that they have.
