When running 2 accounts on 1 computer one account keeps freezing I never had this problem prior to exodus release is there anything I can do to repair this problem short of buying a second computer to run my second account

Come on CCP, help us out.
I have the same problem, b4 exodus i managed to run 3 accounts, okay it was laggy, but i could run 2 accounts perfectly fine. First day of exodus i could run 2 a bit laggy then the next morning if i had one running and tried to run a second it was just freeze after selecting my character. And this is still the way now. I have turned oas many options off as possible in the generics tab, lowered the graphics in the graphics tab, downloaded the new client patch.
SO COME ON CCP THROW US A BONE AND EXPLAIN HOW WE CAN RUN TWO ACCOUNTS AGAIN, REMEMBER WHEN WE HAVE 9000+ PLAYERS ONLINE WE PROBABLY HAVE 6000 PEOPLE PLAYING USING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS, THATS ALOT OF SUBSCRIPTION TO LOSE IF WE CAN't RUN OUR OTHER ACCOUNTS.

It happened again this time I got a system error but when I try to petition it says to press a non-existant "finish submitting button" so here is there error message I got

I have the exact same problem, just waiting till i get home to try running in compatability mode, i downloaded the client patch but it did nothing for me

Try installing this little program as well. It updates the clock on a miniscule basis which seems to make eve work better.
Set the clock to check every 1 minute and the accuracy is 5 milliseconds.
Works well for me.

none of thise seems to have solved my eve accounts freezing i am trying defragment and full reinstall of eve if this doesn't work i have no clue what else to try

a friend of mine was having these problems yesterday. he reformatted his HDD and now all is well... or maybe it was just the two fresh installs of eve. or maybe a quick defrag will help. who knows?
i have no issues running two accounts at the same time right now...
there is a fine, but dissasterous line between a fart and a shart. i suggest you make sure which side you want to be on... |

According to the DxDiag file you sent you have version 4523 of the video card
drivers, wich are more than one year old. Please try and download and install
this one http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_66.93
Additionally reinstalling the client to a different location on your harddrive
should assist you in this matter.
just wanted to post the reply i got from a GM, noting that i was told to inatll older graphics drivers because the ones i had (same ones as linked above) had known issues with eve.

doing what i was told in the last post seems to have fixed my problem with running 2 accounts but in doing so has perhaps cause a more serious problem, while running 2 accounts my computer resets and gives me a fatal error, because it didn't do this while i ws using the old drivers i believe it may be the news ones causing the problem, although as well as changing driver i also dl'd todays patch and installed the second account i want to run to a diff lcoation so i really don't know what fixed the original problem

When I had the prob. I just unchecked sun is Occluded in the graphics menu and poof problem didnt come back

Same here guys...tried all the tricks mentioned and "nothin'"!! I also have a NVIDIA GeForce 5200 (128 mb) and all worked fine for 10 months until the long awaited Exodus finally arrived. It is a good name for the patch....("Exodus" to desktop). I'll keep my fingers crossed and will let ya know if I get an email saying something other than how valuable I am.

I reproduced this freeze multiple times with both characters logged in,1 of them in station, and 1 of them navigating through these systems. I can even reproduce the freeze-up on the test server. There's something unique to these systems (color, planetary feature, etc) that i think is the lowest common denominator for the probs. I'm not saying this is the only systems that all of us may be having problems in, but that there has to be a common variable that's causing our heartburn. I've sent another petition with the system names mentioned above and will post if i hear anything.

With exodus (full client install) , in some system, the occlusion effect is activating even if the option is off.
It happen in I-CU near A-1CON in foutain .

It drives me crasy to not be able anymore to play with my two accounts.

I vastly improved performance by turning sound off on both of my clients (shift-ctrl-alt-F12): it actually became usable on both sessions at the same time.
By turning sound on again on my main session, it was still just playable, though the one with sound needed to be the currently "focussed" window in order for it to be smooth.

I used to run both accounts with MediaPlayer running my favorite tunes, but this will not work now. I get a Windows Blue screen and my machine reboots. I've noticed that turning off sound on both accounts makes running both a lot more stable. I still get the occassional crash though, which is always in the worse possible time.
I would check your sound drivers too guys, and make sure they are up to date.
