Edited by: Drilla on 28/11/2004 12:11:38 Atm. there are so grave bugs in EVE that it's on the brink of being unplayable.
Here are a few bugs they should fix and reboot the server unschedueled to fix them as they are so grave it's unbelievable.
1. Alliance wars cost 1 million pr. week for the entire alliance - that should be 1 million pr. week for every corp in the alliance. And you should only allow alliances to declare war on other alliances. Not a oneman noob corp vs. an alliance.
2. When at war the standing icon (dont even get me started on the fact that standings are less important than security rating - omg someone screwed that one up big time) has less priority than corp standing so if you are a war with someone you need to lower the standing (?) to see the war icon?
These two bugs are ruining the gameplay and should be priority 1 above anything else in the game atm. As these bugs makes the game unplayable for more than half the playerbase.

Standing being on top of the War icon indeed is VERY bad. It makes it immpossible to see who you can and cannot shoot. ---------------------------

Can I just emphasize this:
STANDING IS ON TOP OF WAR. IF YOU HAVE BAD STANDING YOU WILL NOT KNOW THAT YOU ARE AT WAR.
THE BAD STANDING SYMBOL AND THE WAR SYMBOL ARE NEAR IDENTIAL ANYWAY.
What The **** Is Going on CCP????

Well this new feature if thats wat CCP calls it has well and trully ruined my game, as i have very bad eyesight i have to be a sertain distance from the monitor when i play and now i cannot see the symbal on the players, so i cannot tell if they are enemy or alliance or friendly, all i can see is the yellow colouring when they have bad standing, they should have kept it how it was before. ------------------------------------------------

I suggest to make the cost dependend on the number of people in the alliance. It would be too easy to make an alliance only from corps with e.g. 10 members just to increase the war costs ...

So can we get a reply weather the bugs that Drilla has indicated (1. War not showing if -10 standing 2. Cost of war for aliance) will be fixed ASAP? This is very important for the gameplay atm.
Also do somethig about this idiotic security status yellow glowing!!! SS sould not be the priority on the scanner - it is totally confusing I do not care how low one's SS is I need to know weather he is my enemy or not. Make this mark if it is a war or a negative standing!

Yes because Alliances *should* be immune from all attack even though they outnumber any single corp a 100 to 1. Dear lord some people might have to fit guns instead of mining lasers!!!!111111oenoneoneoeleveleoen
Lets also make it so you blow up as soon as you enter alliance space. Can't have anything interupting the mining, and raking in Isk to sell on eBay.
As it stands the only way to go to war with a corp in an alliance is to dec on the alliance. CCP should have kept it similar to the old system but with the option that alliance corps could voluntarily elect to fight in wars aimed at other corps in there alliance. As it is now simply keep your miner and carebear corps out of the official alliance and you are safe.
Its so funny to here people who shoot anybody who even looks like they are going near their territory ***** about being war decced Next I will here pirate corps complain that sometimes their victims shoot back. --------------------------------------------------

Whatever noob - I'm in an alliance and PVP based.
I still think it's sad a oneman or five man corp can declare war on an entire alliance as they'll have the advantage of ganks - they'll log off and come back on when the pvp'ers are occupied elsewhere and thus free to gank.
It cost a billion for an alliance to declare war so it should cost a billion the other way around too.

This is completely unacceptable. It is very difficult to see the corner icon to begin with. Security status does not mean much to most people in the game, I don't know why that is the primary color now. There should be a way to disable it. Even before Shiva it was difficult to distinguish the orange color (negative standing) from the dark brown (war). However, because standings supercede war status it just made things more difficult. There are some serious colour and contrast issues. I cannot tell when the autopilot is on or off. |

My 2 cents.
Yellow background = Personnal/Corp Standing
Red Background = War
I personally have not talked to one person who says they like the new brackets, not one single pilot. _ _ How many pilots does it take to wire a Flux Capacitor? 3, 1 to wire it and 2 to talk about how the old one was better. |

Edited by: Jeebs on 03/12/2004 07:58:54 My Top Annoying things with UI:
1) UI is TOO lightly colored... not enough contrast and it is difficult to tell what modules are active/inactive (especially laseers with crystals fitted, only see flashing ridge of button)
2) Autopilot button is too light, can't tell against light backgrounds.
3) No optimal range indicator for turret in targeting bracket.
4) When splitting stacks, Amount window does not auto-focus.
5) Have to Mouse over to see numerical values on hitpoints.
6) Lackluster Logging. First of all, every other MMOG out there has an Event log. Not just a combat log. And the current combat log, let us admit, is rediculously inadequate. It constantly omits events. Its placement is not customizeable and you can not review the log docked. The data in the log is relatively useless, just giving damage, not types or anything of the sort, requiring players to look up information elsewhere or learn the hard way :) I feel like Pierre Bernard here, but the Log sucks.

right below the Ship circle is an right arrow (Options), click on it, select "Show readout". That should fix that problem. You also need to uncheck "Show Shipui readouts as Percent" in the ESC game options.
My Top annoying with the GUI is that it consumes too much space on a 1024x768 resolution. Castor was much better.
