I could go for this. I get bored running missions for isk, it'd be nice to have some more meaningful PVE for once.

Doesn't work. If it did, they wouldn't be in that corp.

You sir, are weak.
damn another troll...k "!" person...tell me how? its as if your "pro" macro mining (complete assumption but you're probably going to troll about this again) and also how can those people with no corp history and standings be not macro? let's say you watch them for a week and thats all they do..you talk to them and they reply "sometimes" what does that say?
I'm sick to death of idiots shouting troll when thier opinions don't match up. I have to agree with ISellThings.

Perhaps punishing ONLY the macro miners, instead of everybody in the NPC corp. Jackass.
Yeah! Instead of punishing you too and your other many "MMO for me means sitting alone in front of a rock for 2 years straight" friends
I don't mine.

Sorry, twice. For the insulting word, and double posting. I'm a month old though and don't plan on leaving the noobie corp any time soon because I still suck at the game, and punishing EVERYONE in the noobie corps would be terribly unfair, and it wouldn't even stop the macro miners anyway, because even with a 15% refinery tax for noob corpers they're still going to be making tons of money by AFK cheat mining.

I don't see anything wrong with this solution. Myabe the devs ought to check it out?

You're still wrong though and I don't see anyone butthurt either. "Out of arugments error", huh?
My first account was a miner too. Security standing of 0.01 or something. Didn't do anything besides mining and updating trade orders to the sound of "bzzt-bzzt". Didn't answer all chatrequests either. Why would I have? It's not like I was the damn information office.
Think I did that for about a year, on and off. Scrapped the whole mining thing last year. Trading is so much more rewarding than wasting time for little income. Also means I only need to log in a couple of times a week to make enough ISK for those PLEX and keep the accounts running while waiting for more interesting content - In simplistic terms it has been said that there is enough Zero Point Energy in the volume the size of a coffee cup to boil away EarthÆs oceans. |

Yes that's a good idea. Mine at bot levels and you get more hassle. Risk/Reward is better balanced and if done right would screw the botters or at least cause them some inconvenience.
I just wish there was a way players could kill botters in NPC corps and hi sec.

I can. The botters send out massive fleet that decimate the belts in usual order, and another massive fleet that rakes in the ISK from the vastly increased rat spawns. It adds additional benefits to botting rather than discourage it. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

A way around this is a one-man player corp alt thats only purpose is to never leave a station and refine.

Some negative points in this idea:
1) The old way of chaining rats, where they would be spawn with increased frequency when killwd was removed for valid reasons: a) it use up a lot of resources; b) it is too easy to farm. This mechanic will do the same.
2) A single miner has no control on what the other miners pull from the belt and there is no way to know if the roid have been heavily mined till 30 seconds before you getting in the belt or they have been left alone for most of the day. So the miners will not know what is the situation. a mechanics that leave 0 control and information in the hand of the player is bad.
3) This thing will kill corp mining ops while making convenient to have several characters, one for each belt, mining. Guess who will benefit for that? Macrominers.

Sounds like someone is too busy nosing about other people's business. I do my own thing and I couldn't tell you how many people are in a belt. Granted, I don't mine, maybe you do. If the macro miners are upsetting you perhaps you should move to lo/nullsec/wh's. That'll keep you busy and I guarantee you won't see a macro miner.....too often.
I realize that it burns your hide that people are doing this. But it happens. Let CCP do or don't do its job as it see's fit. In the meantime go do something to take your mind off of it.

I do believe I've replied to a similar thread in the past. One of my toons is a dedicated miner, and I have an auto-reject on convos and will be mostly AFK, normally playing a FPS game (TF2 FTW!). Dual monitor works like a charm for me and a hulk takes a very long time to fill up, so not everyone out there not answering back to you while mining is a macro mate.
The reality of this is that... pure miners... mine! <-- should be logical to you, but it isn't! :)
