just wish to ask everyone's opinion between those two supercarriers, which one is better overall?
I personally believe that nyx's look is way too awesome while aeon looks like a half-finished bestower...
nyx have 2000 extra dps with bombers at max level while aeon could reach over 70mil ehp with implants/gang bonus to ensure never primary...
so which one would you pick for a personal super-carrier? (personal owned, will use in fleet battle etc)

Of the two, the Nxy. The Aeon is way too ugly.

so... it largely depends
if you spend all of your time in a single ship, does its looks or its bad-assness matter more
if looks then nyx if bad-assness then aeon

anyone who says otherwise is just a massive troll.
also who wouldn't want a 70m EHP shipppp :3 also drone bonus is lol on nyx.. yay i can solo pve content or add 2 bs's worth of damage..
OR i could last for ages in an aeon and actually be useful.

Not that it matters at all but it can get 81.4m ehp with damnation and erebus in gang.

aeon is just a beast, nyx is only considerd 'good' because the wyvern is shield and lolhel

Aeon all the way. When you are in a fleet with a lvl 5 Erebus pilot, you simply laugh at everyone else when you look at your stats. 6mill armor HP with all resists 90+.
The damage from a nyx is cool, but in a lagfight, those 20-30mill ekstra EHP is win.

You would seriously spend 20B or so on a ship as ugly as the aeon?
A primary role of supercarriers is now also dps with fighterbombers, so the bonus of the nyx is usefull.

Might be ugly, but in the end, its all about who is left, and the Aeon certainly have a better chance of staying alive than the Nyx. The lack og resist bonus and terrible slot layout makes the Aeon a clear winner over the Nyx.

definitely the aeon, though i would swap the resist bonus for rep amount and give it a utility midslot.(joke!)
on a more serious note, when will shield tanking cap pilots get a shield version of the slave set - make it cap ship only, fine. I appreciate the difference between shield and armour tanks and buffers in the subcap game and have used both to their strengths, especially shields as I like to go it alone, but it's simply poor balancing that armour tanks are plain superior by a 50% or w/e margin end game, capital ship wise, by virtue of slave sets and local tanks being left back in 2000whenever with the ever increasing capital blobs.

i dunno, the maelstrom is fun for one way solo battleship pvp as it has great range with 800mm ACs, great dps and a brilliant cap boosted active tank (also fitting a point), and i have some plans for a tempest (which i basically have stolen when i saw it being used against me hahaha) but i can't fathom the typhoon.

I am talking about fleet fights. While I had to stop PvPing for my signature's corp due to RL time constraints, I'd love to start again "when I can". But I distinctly recall people in Minnie BS being almost insured against being ever primaried, they were just ignored.
Also, I was mostly talking about capitals, I just don't recall ANYONE talking about how powerful and useful the Minnie carriers / dreads / motherships / titans are.
Ok some are "vertical", but what about beyond the visuals?

Min Carrier is best carrier for 0.0. Repping bonus makes everyone love you when repping a pos and such. But the lack of power and HP over the others makes it a primary every time.
Min Dread douse a tone of dps.
Min BS (Tempest) is a really great Fleet BS as it has a effective range 20+km more then most so you can sit a bit further from the enemy blob and never be primaried (untill your fleet is dead)
Minmatar are hard to play, Like the French everyone loves there food but when left alone in a fight they fail horribly (BS and above)

By the way, Aeon can reach over 100m Ehp, whereass the Nyx can reach just under 40m, How is this done? Full Buffer + Damntion w Links(plus midlink) + Erebus + Slaves and some Trimark II's. Dont forget Overload =]

i can fly both and i choose the nyx its just looks so good the aeon tanks better but the nyx dose more dps thats how u would choose between thembut did i mention how good he nyx looks
