Loamx	Posted - 2010.03.09 05:51:00 - [1] I am currently running a pimped out torp Golem, and I blaze through missions pretty quick. What I've been thinking about lately is converting one of my alts into a missioner as well, to aid my speeding through missions. Any suggestions as to what would be an awesome compliment to a Golem, other then another golem?

Missm Uppet	Posted - 2010.03.09 06:31:00 - [4] If we're considering that your Golem will be the account you will focus most of your attention on, you might consider an afk-friendly ship to go along with it. For this purpose, a passive/perma-tanking ship would probably fit best. In this category the Dominix>Tengu>Night Hawk>Drake would all more than adequately fit the bill. You can fit a remote shield repper or two on the domi in case of an emergency with the Golem, but it should be the main tank in the mission. Pro's of the Domi - lots of afk damage, plenty of tank. Anyway it's an idea

I actually like this idea, as my alt is currently flying an orca right now. Thank you for the advice. Would it be best to slap salvagers on the golem then?

Would it be best to slap salvagers on the golem then? yup, thats what i do, I pull room aggro to make sure that nothing spawns on top of the orca (rigged for agility). start pulling things in once the first thing dies. make sure to train multitasking to 3 so you can lock up to 10 targets. the only issue is gate travel, infiltrated outpost, EA 4of5, the score, are the only ones that kinda hurt to loot and salvage.

Golem goes first, second Paladin, which gives shield transport to the golem and has a remote repair, too. Both togehter then kill and paladin of course is a great tank, too. For level IV its somehow an overkill, but nice speed. I am dual boxing with two monitors.

The reason is that the drake's cheap, can be made cap stable even with a MWD or AB, and can take a bit of a hit if you can't be assed managing aggro. I fit my alt's drake with 4 tractors, 4 salvagers, AB in mids (and either cap rechargers or hardners), 4 Expanded Cargohold II's in low (~950m3 cargo). Also, I found that if I take both out at the same time, I can complete the mission + salvage in pretty much the same time as it takes me to do the mission normally.

N'omad	Posted - 2010.03.09 13:08:00 - [11] afk sentry domi Takes under 15 days to train from scratch on a brand new account. throw a buddy invite to it for 51 days free account ;) even with just enough skills you instantly add about 350 dps to your missions with the sentries, and to top it off you can set the golem up for more gank because you can use the domi to rep the golem. 2 Remote reps is MORE than enough for any mission but you can be cap stable with 5 at once (like a 3-4k dps tank which is stupid) obviously don't rely on RR's in caldari (fail) space. so yeah get a domi. warp it in, unload sentries assign them to your golem. et voila with t2 sentries and rigs you are looking at and extra 512 dps without having to touch it after warp in.

It won't take long before the alt is able to run L4s on his own, and you can take 2 separate L4s at once and really bring in the isk. Here is my new plan for lvl 4 mission speed an domination: Train the miners up to fly domi's. Get 4 missions at a time. Fly to the mission, unload sents from the domi's, while focus killing with the golem. Fly the orca in to tractor in all the loot, have domi's salvage. Fly to next mission. Sound pretty solid? I have the accounts open for a while, and it sounds like a good way to blaze through missions for speed and isk. Thoughts and opinions?

I'd go for 2 afk domis in one mission then golem + other in another. for "other" I really like the nightmare orca is fat, slow, and can only use 3 tractors at a time

Yes, its not that awesome wtfbbq boost but its FREE ù you dont need to do a thing ù just login with it and throw in fleet invitation. Thats the only thing i might be using since i hate alt-tabing. If i would ever consider going 2 windows with logist and tank or smth that would be for l5s, anything else doesnt look like its worth it.

I would say something like passive Gila since it rarely need your attention because of insane overtank on l4. But then again i dunno why would anyone dual box for l4. While the afk domi won't mission quickly, 3 will really increase the speed and you will get the income of 2 L4s run quickly instead of 1 run quickly. Loamx	Posted - 2010.03.11 00:40:00 - [24] Thanks for all the replys. Just wanted to do something useful with all the accounts i have open, espcially since i've given up mining on them. The golem really does run missions pretty quick by it's self. I figured anything more might just help the speed that much more, and make my accounts actually bring in isk istead of just sit there doing nothing. I'll try a few things, and I might post again with results....
