Yes it is. They should turn up the system count by a notch or two. Very few systems can be said to be truely desolate. Try to escape the crowd. No luck.

Good.
Empire players should be punished in every possible way.
Silly troll!
Without empire Eve would burn in flames and tears. There is a symbiotic relationship between empire and non secure space. If one is "punished" the other, or even the whole, will suffer.
The symbiosis as constrained by security/space. Is in eve more akin to a fish farm. Perhaps because it(security/space) gets less attention in the sense of a economic resource. As does all the other various commodities. One might consider that not all players which to be part of such a tight enclosure. Three, is a crowd in eve.

Exactly. Some might wish to spend a few hours of game play out there. At worlds end.

Aridia and Solitude are empty for a reason - there aren't many assets worth having there and they're a long ways from any market hubs. Any logistics will best be done by carrier and/or jump freighter - which are not inconsequential SP investments!

Great info. So a solution to a 'problem' of congestion may lie in thinning out and diversifying the eve universe. By adding a couple more systems(regions perhaps)and diluting the number of resources in select systems. To create a greater economic and habitual(player preference or dispositions) diversity of the space. I can not see this upsetting the balance that otherwise characterizes the distribution of resources.

To that would agree. Underpopulated as where we living in Cairo,Egypt. The promotion of PvP makes other priorities/values in the game glimmer in their absence.

There are a lot of games in Eve. It is the best sandbox in the game universe. Well implemented. But, it is a space game.
It is narrow minded to think there is one best way to play Eve, or there is some favored group which should be catered too over others.
I have three mains and six alts, and play all the sub-games in Eve. Trade, manufacture, exploration, & PvP, depending on how I feel any particular day.
I would like CCP to expand the Eve playing field as it expands the number of Eve players, that is all. Why not?
Everything is relative. Yes, there are places in Eve relatively less crowded than others. But, relative to the amount of playing space per player we used to have, Eve is crowded.
Great post. As it resonates with the areas that I think should be the focus of further development. Equally it does not argue the fear of change. So many things have been introduced into the universe that has also shrunken the space. As much as it has promoted a narrower player experience. Permanent POS's in WH is but one example of shallow game play. Its not a new way of playing the game. Its the same same. The environment needs to develop with introduction of new player elements. Any new space is otherwise colonized with same habits and reproduced endlessly.
