After I transferred my main (this char) to a new account I can no longer play the game. I can connect to the server and get to the character selection screen. After I choose my only char the status bar pops up and says, "Entering game as Alowishus", then the bar goes to full and it says "Failed". At that point there is only a blank screen and my only option is to exit out of the game.
Here is the log:

I was able to login with my old account using the same Eve install. I tried deleting my entire cache. Basically I think I've determined that this is more or less a server a problem and not a client problem. I've filed a "stuck" petition.
I'm unhappy because I paid $20 to start a new account and $20 to transfer a char so that I wouldn't lose skill training time on my main when training on my alts. Now who knows when they will fix my main.
Does anyone have any other ideas about this? I'll let you guys know what CCP tells me.

I've created another character on the account and that character works. It is only the moved charachter. Is it possible that even though the char appears on the new account that the move has not been completed or is Alowishus gone forever?

Hi.
Has it been 24 hours since you moved the character? Because you need to wait until after downtime for the move to go through. If you still can't access the character after downtime, try clearing your cache. To save your bookmark folders, leave the "settings" folder.

Hi.
Has it been 24 hours since you moved the character? Because you need to wait until after downtime for the move to go through. If you still can't access the character after downtime, try clearing your cache. To save your bookmark folders, leave the "settings" folder.

Thank you, I thought maybe this was the case but I never read anything that said it. Then I saw my char was on the selection screen so I thought the move was completed.

I had the same problem today :-(
As this is a major point when transferring a char, I think this has to be mentioned on the page before someone does the transfer. He can then still choose to only do it shortly before DT and does not end up loosing one full day of playing time due to CCP not telling us! I do not think this is asked too much, is it? |
