Hey guys,
Red Vs Blue is a two corporation epic backdropped by a never ending conflict, constantly War decced vs each other and at least 5-6 other corporations each and every week.
We fight endlessly! - 1 V 1, fleet, Against War Deccers, against each other and of course when we go purple into Low Sec and 0.0 space.
Plenty of kills to go around, as we are the fastest moving two corporation in eve moving 160 spots to #52 and #56 on the killboards in just the last 6 months. Although we love new PVP'ers and can always use as many as we can get, we are also looking for experienced pilots who want constant action along with an ADD attitude that wants and desires a robust combat platform with many layers.
So if you want something new, and you havent tried this at least check it out.... It want hurt to see for your self -- I know the roaches who ***** about RVB - but keep in mind they either eventually all join or have never been in RVB with any actual idea of how we work.
We take up to 20-25 apps per day in each corp. We allow movement in and out of corporation, and dont mind alts either. Its a perfect place to log in, get quick action then be on about your RL business.
Check out R-V-B channel for more details,
and hope to see you guys soon defending the great teapot of justice!

WE NEED FLEET COMMANDERS!
With all these fights we need some guys who want to fly out some pilots and gank sheet!
So send me a eve mail if interested in RVB leadership as well!

PS: Red and Blue are both sitting at 620+ pilots currently -- lets break 2000! Go Blues! |

Huge fights this weekend,
100 pilots fighting in FRIGAPOCALYPSE and CRUISERGGEDDON
Faction, Tech II, ECM we used em all -- the Cruiser battle lasted a little less than an hour now that's what I call fun! We only restrict ECM vs red fed only to keep the fights coming quicker and all day!
We need more experienced pilots to continue to enhance this great concept called RVB. We love new PVP'er s but want to encourage the tried and true PVP'er to show up as well. It makes for better fights and allows some of you guys a chance to FC more often because of the frequency of fights.
Again we fight each other, we are at war with at least 4-5 other corporations at all times and we love deep 0.0 roams as well!
Give it a go!
Hope to see you soon!

Two corps, permanently war decced, people wanting to fight.
Simple concept already with a good following and many members.
The aim, to provide PvP all day, every day. The two corps are at a state of war, with somewhat friendly banter, but don't mistake this for some sort of tournament or arena, there are a very few rules, no podding being the main one, it is normal PvP within the Eve mechanics. There is a story behind it, which those of you who are interested can follow, change and expand on and those not interested can ignore.
Hunt, kill, destroy and loot your enemy, fly solo or with gangs and fleets, it's up to you how you do it, there is no cost or joining fee, we provide targets, nothing else.
Anyone can join, everyone will be accepted, just be prepared to fight from the second you hit your corp chat. We currently have everything from 800k sp noob alts to 50 mill sp PvP pros and all are having fun.
If you're looking for your first taste of PvP but don't want to get endlessly ganked alone, If you're sick of blob warfare and black screens waiting to load, If you're tired of 40 jumps to gank a lone ratting Raven, If you're ready to cancel your sub because you've been there and done it, If you just think "hey that sounds cool"
Give it a try, you can join/leave/join/leave as much as you want, if you want to join, pew pew a few days, leave a few days, do some missions, come back, pew pew a few days etc thats fine, come and go as you please.
Joining is easy;

Been semi-inactive in Eve due to work for the past year. I couldn't make the 30+ jump 2-3 hour ops in 0.0 work for me any more. Saw the post about RvB, joined up, and I've never looked back. Even with the little bit of time I get to play, I average well over 100 kills/month and the furthest I have to fly for a fight is 2 JUMPS . Even when there aren't any fleets up or WTs around, there are plenty of guys that'll 1v1. It's been one of my best experiences in Eve, I've flown ships that I never would've tried otherwise, and there are some excellent Pvpers and FCs alike and a great place to learn or just have some fun.

Hi all, I joined RvB 14 days ago and I haveto say its the best decision I ever made in my three years on eve it is nothing like anything else out there and nowhere else teaches you more about pit fighting and bar room brawls in EVE.
Expect to loose ALOT of ships expect fair fights and unfair, expect challenges and laughs, I know alot of people join RvB for the fights but for me now its home and I plan on sticking around.
RVB challenges you, my first pvp in RvB involved me versus 2 rifters and a firetail it ended badly for me but was such fun, after the fight you discuss with the people you just tried to kill how to best improve your ships or tactics and that isn't unique that happens alot you will go off for a 1v1 or 4v4 then your oponent may convo you with tips on how to beat him or ask to see your fit.
Your Reds or your Blues but your all RVB and I class that as family.

^^ This.
Also, for new pilots, it's a great place to learn, where you have a support system of combat vets who can help you with questions, ship fittings, and tactics.
For vets who want to hone their fc skills, there is no shortage of players willing and eager to join your fleet for pew.
The best thing, though, is it is a lot of fun.

I recently rejoined RvB after about 6 months of Carebearing.
I can definitely attest that it's a blast. Since rejoining sunday I've lost 10 ships and got on 13 killmails and I still pretty much suck.
I've learned a hell of a lot about PVP combat in EVE just this week, and I'm already beginning to survive the occasional afllet battle.
The only bad thing I can say about it is that you can burn through isk in a hurry ;) I mean sure you can run around in T1 fit unrigged rifters but it won't be long until you decide you'd like to survive more than one volley then next thing you know your 200k rifter now costs 8mil to build ;-)
Oh and to add more fun we've got a 3rd party war coming active sometime today against a highsec griefer corp and it's going to be fun to see what happens when they face a bunch of guys who spend most their online time fighting rather than the typical carebears their sort tends to target. (makes mental note to jump clone when logging on tonight.)

RVB is a fantastic way to get fights... fleets, solo, roaming low-sec and 0.0 on purple operations.
In my time in Red Federation I've enjoyed some crazy fights:
having a 50 vs. 50 RVB battleship battle (Mother of All Battles I) killing a carrier in a fleet of cruisers and stealth bombers having an RR Battleship fight vs. third party war targets on Jita undock fighting 40 other RVB'ers in a noob ship fight ...and a few hundred other fights
And I'm sure there will be many more with this great group of pilots.
Join RVB and you can find a fight fast.

Little updata, Continuing to have a blast in RVB. To give an idea of the scale of action I've got 55 kills in the last 7 days and I am actually in our top ten killers and scorers in Red team.
Things were a little slow the last couple nights for me since I seem to have logged on after Blue's lost steam so only one little Kestrel who didn't GTFO fast enough when the Hyperion Del was talking about earlier managed to escape our grasp on Wednesday night.
Last night was another slow night in the late evening US blue's weren't fleeting so we were just kind of piddling around looking for trouble, Then intel comes in that a 3rd party War Target appeared to be doing missions around Dodixie. So I hop in my failfit Brutix that I haven't managed to lose yet and headed over.
A Blue Republic Arazu that had been playing around our station followed me out I notified the waiting fleet to set a trap for him, Sadly the Arazu managed to slip the net, however that wasn't the big game.
A couple of us had probers out hunting down the War Target I actually managed to learn a little about probing on my probe alt, Then intel comes in that the War target is in Auvergne so we jump the fleet into Dodixie and set up at the Auvergne gate to be ready for when the CovOps get the warp in.
About the time we get setup on the gate Captain Hurrdurr announces that he's got the War Targets Domi locked down 10k off the gate and we jump in.
A short battle then commenced, well more of a slaughter, pleas for mercy were ignored the request for ransom terms rejected and a nice kill mail of a failfit AFK domi resulted. Dead Domi
Sadly his pod escaped but that's one guy who'll know better than to think he can just go on about his happy carebear ways when in a Corp that decided to War Dec Red Federation.
So if you want lots of opportunities to kill and be killed without all the hassle and drama of Normal Corporate life (no mandatory ops, no alarm clock ops) come on down to Verge Vendor and join either team.

I returned to Eve after a three year break and after grinding missions for a few weeks to reacquaint myself with the game signed up with Blue Federation, one of the corps in RvB. Here's what I found, and it's why I have remained in RvB:
1. My game time is limited, and in RvB I can log on for an hour or so and get plenty of PvP action. Solo and small fleet actions, mostly, which is my preferred way to fight.
2. Most of the fights are in BC's and below, which keeps things affordable. Some players fly faction and t2 ships, which is fine if you can afford to lose them (because you'll attract a lot of hostile attention in that Dramiel.)
3. RvB pilots don't podkill each other. I can stuff my head with implants and not worry about losing them. (Accidents do happen, but I've stated the standing rule.)
4. Occasional special events with prizes.
5. Seasoned veterans & Fleet Commanders and newer players who are beginning to explore PvP.
6. You are free to come and go, dropping corp if you want to go run missions for a while. Many of our seasoned players who left for 0.0 or low-sec piracy have returned...they missed the easy and often action they got in RvB.
7. Good esprit de corps on both sides. RvB is rather like one corporation with two branches that are perpetually at war. We have players who readily change sides to improve balance or fill in when one corp has fewer peeps online.
8. No politics! Fit your ship and go for a roam and pew pew to your heart's content.
I could go on, but you get the idea. Check out Channel R-V-B and talk to some of our members...we're happy to answer questions.
See you in fleet, Serend

Nightly update.
Was a busy night in RVB, From when I got on tonight After 10pm CST US) there were 2 arranged Frig battles and one little station camp that netted me 10 kills at the cost of 1 ship lost (would have been more kills but our traitor CEO had joined up with Blue for the second fight to even the forces a little and primaried me early on. "Damn you Morph"). Not bad at all for a nights work though. And as the fact that the Red Fed CEO switched sides for the fight to make it more fun gives you an idea of the attitude of many people in the corps.
It really is a blast and I can't recommend it enough.
Carnage
I still suggest bringing lots of isk it gets addictive real fast.

Orion Shadowmaker
Yeah I think Blue needs some more folks in US evenings.
Combat log update.
Last night was a good night.
Won my first 1v1 (thanks for the fight Tauran)
Then managed to pop a condor that was hanging out near my safe undock at HQ.
After that I joined up with the Red Fed fleet and started trying to stir up some trouble. Things started a little slow. I managed to lose a Rifter to a Coercer while trying to tackle him long enough for the gang to get to me (he manage to kill me and slip away 2 seconds before back arrived)
After that managed to bait a blue fleet into engaging a Drake on a gate and managed to bag a Curse and a Mega. Nice juicy kills like that make losing the rifter well worth it.
After that thing slowed down for a while, Blue was light on pilots and their normal FC wasn't about (WRU Orion can I haz more Assaultship kills? )
After some piddling and discussion we finally decided to even things up a bit by sending a couple red pilots over to blue. So me and my bud Rexor volunteered for the "blue for a day" program and headed over to Allentene to hook up with the blue fleet.
There was joking about primarying me with friendly fire in vengeance for Melisendra's Curse I simply pointed out that my fellow corp mate would probably primary me anyway
After that we headed over to Alenia and cycled through a couple safes then it was down to the planet for the fight.
26 total pilots in the fight I'm not certain if we were dead even or if Reds still had a slight numerical advantage the battle report is a bit confusing since normal hostiles were friendly and vice versa plus I think there is some bleed over from some earlier engagemnts.
Was a very fun battle. Managed to kill 7 of my fellow reds before I was finally popped.
The fight itself ended up with 2 Blue team (actually one of them was the other redfed pilot) still in their ships with one (the redfed guy) with 11% structure and the remaining BlueRep pilot out of ammo when the last red Merlin went sploddy.
Final tally for the night 11 kills, 2 dead Rifters and whole lotta fun.
So come over and join Blue we need more targets.

Daily bump and battle report.
Yesterday was an exciting day for RVB.
There was a much drama after Blue Republics top killer went rogue on monday and was kicked for rules violations only to return with another bitter ex RVBer as a 3rd party war target. Since this individual only plays during Euro prime time and I only get on for late US I missed most of that fun.
Even though the pilot in question is a jerk wad no one can deny that he is a skilled jerk wad so the day crew has some challenging fighting ahead of them.
For the nighttime crew Blue Rep had their main FC back online (wb Orion) so we were able to get some frigfleet action going. With Blues handing us Reds our asses several times. It was kind of a slow night for Red V Blue battles since we Red guys had to spend a significant amount of time hunting down 3rd party war targets while blue was stuck chomping at the bit while waiting for their Wardec to go in affect so they can join us in the hunt.
Kel's Corsairs stuck their hand into our nest and pulled back a bloody stump for their troubles losing 4 battlecruisers 2 Assault ships and a couple cruisers while killing 2 of our cruisers and 3 frigs a fair exchange by my estimation. Thanks for bringing the fight guys.
These folks look to be a halfway competent null sec corp so maybe they read some of the nonsense people have been spewing on the boards here about how RVB isn't any good at "real pvp" and thought they'd come up for some easy kills. I suspect they've been disabused of that notion at this point. Or maybe they just wanted to come to a place where they knew people weren't afraid to bring the fight.
All in all a relatively slow night for me only bagging 5 killmails while losing 3 ships.
As to personal growth I'm definitely seeing improvements in my performance my damage dealt to damage received is moving in the right direction and I just this week flipped from more loss points to more kill points on battleclinic. In battles now there is no longer any moment of panic or fumbles from nerves I'm able to keep my cool and battles are seeming to be less chaotic affairs.
It's still a target rich environment though we always need new blood. RVB is a little different from most Corporations in that we get a lot of churn in personal as people come in for a bit do some pew pew then move on or take a break to refil their banks. As such we're always needing more folks to keep our ranks up.
So if your bored with what ever you are doing in EVE come on down and give it a shot. Bring your main or make an alt. Hop in when ever you like and leave just as easily.
But bring lots of ISKies because it's addictive and gets pricy fast.
Oh and come with the right attitude. My personal opinion is that if you aren't losing ships pretty regularly in RVB then you are doing it wrong. The only way you never lose a ship is if you always ensure you have a significant enough advantage to take any fun out of the fight for your opponent and the whole point of RVB is to get fun fights and if you are always taking the fun out of their fights then eventually they'll stop and you'll have fewer targets.
My measure of a successful frig fleet fight in RVB is if only 1 or two ships survive (actually the ideal fight would be if the last two opponents pop at the same time ) this is an indication that we did a good job putting together a challenging match.
Right now is an exciting time to join up. Lots of 3rd party targets lots of fight hungry people in both teams. A particularly challenging target in Euro prime time and plenty of room for people who are able and willing to step up to make their mark.
We always need pilots and more people able and willing to FC are always wanted.
So what'cha waiting for? Come on down and get your pew pew on.

just came home from the new robin hood movie last night. meh. gladiator was better. logging on. fleet up? nice. hopping into my beloved imicus and meeting the boys at the ralley point. what are we up to? frigsndessies 10on10. we get slaughtered.
2nd round. come on guys, lets reship and repay blues for their earlier noob luck they're scouting us as soon as we hit neutral territory. thrasher scout eh? he's warping away just to the planet below the gate. bad choice, buddy. engaging fleet warp, landing the whole gang at 0 at that unlucky thrasher . bye bye scout. why is everybody warping at 70 nowadays? nevermind. lets fight blues! they need to reship a thrasher pilot?? oh come ON!! tempted to get my probes out and just land on them. decide not to. gotta respect pilot count on arranged fights. patience pays, we wipe their fleet and survive with 6/9. not too bad.
regroup at hq, drop the (t1 ) loot, get some reps done. we wanna go cruisers this time - lets raise the stakes ( ). undocking and rallying the fleet. agree on changing the battleground again. gotta keep that killboard clean. they warp in on us. damage mods on and overheat your guns as soon as in optimal. focused fire wins the fight at 0. blues are down to their fc in his beastily plated maller. ok lets chew threw him. overview turns red all of a sudden. 3rd party wartargets jumped in a myrm, harby and drake. PURPLE is on! primary is the harbinger. our remaining cruisers pop one after the other but the harby goes down as well. where is the blue dps? their counter-wardec isnt through yet? shiitee! ok. every pod reship asap into bc and reinforce our remaining cruisers. i reenter the field as blue jumps in their rr-support battleships. 3rd partys have enough. they bugger off, myrm in structure. direction? "tar stargate". warping fleet. jump on contact and ... damn, they allready warped. scout celestials and get those *****es. theyre docked in station... and logged. lol.
dawn has broken hours ago. have to hit the sack. thx for fleet and good hunting!
pvp. nothing else.

bumpity.
Moar blue targets/FC in late US Playtime please.
Ok the wife was feeling a little frisky last night so I got on a little later than usual and caught the aftermath of the WT incident that De l'Hospital reported. SO I hop into my Vexor and head to the fleet. After a few minutes of jacking around trying to get the WT's engaged we say F it and try to get something together. Unfortunately at this point blue's run out of steam and the possibility of a fleet fight evaporates.
Since no blues were feeling frisky and we have maintain our kill stats we decide to have a frig free for all. Our resident wealthy industrial former carebear put some prizes up. and 7 of us fit up some frigs and head to a neighboring system.
Rules called, no reships, don't hang around in the middle of battle in your pod, stay with in 60 clicks of the ref. go is called.
Stupidly I decided to go try to grab a kestrel in a sniper fit. after a few seconds of figuring out that my AB fit Rifter isn't going to catch his MWD Kestrel I head back into the thick of the battle and crank up my traversal to try and buy some time for my shield regen to catch up. I'm taking heavy damage from the Kestrel as I approach the thick of the battle then I'm orbiting one of the other rifters at 500 adding my damage to his demise.
At this point I notices that Imicus's drones are hammering me something fierce. my shields collapsed and armors going I target the drones and take them out. I'm now down to about 10% structure clouds of flame and smoke pouring our of my rifter but my shields starting to regen. I target the Imicus and pop him in short order then switch targets to the megatanked Punisher.
At this point I'm the last rifter with the punisher the kestrel and 2 merlins. I'm deep into structure and my shields are barely in force. I set a 7500m orbit on the puni to try and reduce the dmaage from him and overheat the mids to try and get a little more traversal.
Alas it's too little to late someone finally lands a lucky hit and my ship goes up in a ball of explosive glory.
Now it's down to the Puni, 2 merlin's and the kestrel. The merlins and puni decide that they need to take out the kestrel somehow and start cooperating to try and box him in.
After a few minutes of this the merlin pilots do the calculation and figure out that if they probably won't have the dps to take down the Puni with out the added fire of the kestrel so they turn their fire on the punisher snuffing out his chances of making the top 3 (where the good prizes start).
Now we're down to the Kestrel and 2 Merlin's after a few more minutes of chasing it around. One of the merlin pilots decides to go for the top 2 by betraying his former ally and opens fire on the other merlin.
Unfortunately for him the Kestrel Pilot picks that moment to decide that he can't break the first Kestrels tank and switches targets.
The second Merlin pilot angered by the betrayal turns his fire on the traitors merlin and between the two of them break it's tank and then there were two.
At this point it's late and after a few minutes of wasting ammo and flying around the Ref (prize offerer) offers to let them split the top two prizes since the Kestrel couldn't break the Merlin's tank and the Merlin couldn't catch the Kestrel.
Much fun can't wait for the next one I've got some ideas ;-)
If you are a U.S pilot who flies in late U.S primetime join blue so we have more targets.
This weekend will be fun all the reciprocal wardecs will all be in effect and it looks like these War Targets are the types who aren't going cancel their Wardec the second they take some losses so should be some good purple ops coming.
So what are you waiting for? Get your butts over to Verge Vendor and pick a team and get to blowing stuff up.

lets stick this back up for folks to see for the weekend.
It's going to be exciting times this weekend. We have several 3rd party war targets active. There's a big purple roam planed and there will certainly be no shortage of small fleet and 1v1 action to be had.
Pick up a stack of you're preferred frigate and head on over. Or heck just come in your newb ship and bring a stack of isk. We have a pretty decent market over here and we're only 4 hops from Dodixie if you happen to want anything we don't have in the local market.
So if you've been itching to shoot at something other than AI controlled rats come on over and lets get down so some serious explody action.

Battle Report 5/14
No big arranged fights while I was on last night. We played cat and mouse with blues but they just couldn't seem to get it together plus Red had them massively outnumbered. Did catch a few at various gates and got a little action total of 5 kills for the night.
At this point since we had blues so badly out numbered we split our fleet leaving about half behind to play with blues the rest of us making up a fleet of about 10 in a mix of Battleships Battlecruisers Cruisers and Frigates headed over to one of our war targets home systems to see if we could stir up some trouble.
Broke out the neutral Covert Ops to scout a head.
We move over one system out and send in the neutral scouts find 2 War Targets in System, Right on now we know where they live. You can never be sure many corporations headquarters far away from their actual base of operations but this guys at least have some presence in this system. Quick check of the starbases locates them.
Now we send one of our guys in to stir up the nest a little.
Aha they see a red in local and a 3rd WT logs in and our scouts report 2 of them outside station in Scorpions. At this point we're not wanting to scare them off but we're trying to get a bit of a fight going so we send in a BC and a couple frigates to taunt them.
"Warriors.. come out and play" one of our guys smacks into local.
"it's my bed time" replies the WT.
Oh well no fun gank. Still gave us a chance to break out the big stuff and practice moving in a coordinated fashion. Plus I got to spend a little time with my prober and in order to develope some probing skills. I still suck but I'm starting to figure it out.
Back to base to do logistical crap before going to bed.
At some point I notice a note in Corp from one of our Newbs that he got podded by a 3rd party. Looking at the killboards it appeared that he was moving stuff from Jita and got popped. Not smart moving freight around AFK when under a wardec. Had another guy lost a golem earlier in the day when he thought he could sneak it off to do a little missioning.
So for anyone thinking of coming down. Here's some advice. Take care of your logistics first before apping corp. If you need to get stuff brought in either use a neutral alt or talk to one of the haulers already in RVB assuming you can't find everything you need.
We got people who can do or get just about anything you want. Including industrial characters who cut us nice deals on ships so we don't have to spend as much time out of corp making isk to blow up.
Another big one. Leave those pretty mission ships back at your home mission system. Just mothball em until you're done with RVB. That way you won't be tempted to take them out either in a fit of emorage or in the case of an attack of the stupid.
As always Fly what you can afford to lose.
The best attitude is to assume a ship is dead the moment it undocks that way if it comes home your happy and if it doesn't well that's just the way it goes. Just like the Samaria of old, Embrace death to survive.
So come on down US evenings need active blue pilots and FC's so I can haz targets.

Was a slow weekend for me (family stuff getting in the way of my pew pew)
Anyway word is the 0.0 Roam was a blast.
Sunday night was pretty slow when I got online. Well not so much slow as that Blue's were very light on numbers. (had three interested in fighting) and we reds had like 15 no real way that was ever going to be a remotely fair fight unless we just made 2 red fleets and invited them to join.
Word came that a GM was pretending to be concord next door in Yulai so not having anything else to do we popped over and checked that out. We spent the time doing some combat sites (massive over kill) and taunting the roleplayers in Local while waiting to see if something would happen.
Sadly nothing did and the GM sent the RPer's off to some low sec system 12 jumps away. We decided that was further than we wanted to go at midnight and some logged and those of us remaining decided to go do a frig free for all. (when we can't find someone else to kill we're always up for killing each other)
I didn't do so well this time I was experimenting with a new fit and well it didn't work out so good so I was the second out. Came back at 100 in a Velator and had it out with the first casualty in an his Ibis. I was disappointed to find that you can't overheat newb guns.
After dispatching the Ibis I went back to station to repair (No damned drones for sale in the system ) oh well back to watch the rest of the fight.
By this time the third casualty had gotten back in a reaper and he opened fire on me. We started fighting then the Ibis showed up again. Since the Ibis pilot was one of our hated blue's we agreed to gang up on him before finishing our match.
Alas the Ibis pilot had apparently went shopping. My Velator crumped then the Reaper Pilot is on comms going "100 damage wtf' Turns out the Ibis Pilot picked up some 125 ac's before coming back ).
By this time the fight peters out and I return to pick up my loot. Prizes are awarded and the ref/prize provider announces that we need to prepare a cruiser and that we'd be doing a cruiser FFA sometime this week.
Fun times.
Now if blues could just get some people online tonight so I can keep my kill stats up.
If you want fun casual almost instant action PVP RVB is definitely the ticket. Come on over stay for a day a week a month a yeah however long you want. No endless roams looking for likely targets no alarm clock ops. Fly as cheap or expensive as you like/can afford, leave, come back. It's all good.
If you haven't tried PVP and are interested in it this is the best place to get some rapid action. If you are an experienced combat pilot and are tired of lack of targets then RVB is for you too.
Join R-V-B for more info.

Unless Agony has a class starting tonight why wait?
You can do both come to RVB to get some combat time while you wait for an Agony course then either drop corp or just head on over to the Agony course when it's time.
The most important thing you can get out of RVB IMO is just getting comfortable while in combat.
Almost everyone gets the combat shakes and makes panicky mistakes when they start out and the only cure for that is to put yourself in the situation again and again until it becomes rote and you can actually think beyond "oh *#&$& I'm in combat".
My first PVP engagement all kinds of flustered, Now however I'm calm and can actually make some decisions, often some bad ones but at least I'm making decisions.
In fact what you might want to do if you plan on taking an Agony course soon but not immediately. Is train up a few levels of infomorph psychology go get a couple jump clones. Leave on in the RVB area and go put one over where Agony is having their classes with the needed supplies for the class when it becomes available. Then jump back to the RVB clone and get to killing/dieing.

Daily bump and battle report.
After several slow nights due various fleet imbalances I finally managed to get a very good night in.
Now understand I consider it a slow night when I'm limited to 3-5 kills.
Last night things really clicked together.
Earlier in the day I had some daytime flight time and managed to lose 2 1v1's. It's all good though. I learned a couple valuable lessons
1. do fit T2 for 1v1's and 2. when fighting a Tristan orbit in falloff and kill the f-ing drone first.
Both were good fights , the first Rifter managed to melt my T1 fitted crap Rifter quite handily with a vanilla 400mm plated T2 gun toting buffer rifter. The lack of T2 mods really showed in this fight. they make a difference.
The second fight with the Tristan was even better I set orbit to 2500 overloaded guns and started pounding him. He released his drone and it was on. I decided that I'd do better to try and kill the Tristan fast alas I left my guns on overheat too long and when the Tristan was down to 12% structure they burned out.
According to the Tristan pilot his guns burned out too so his drone finished off the fight. Even losing the ship that was a hell of a fight and I learned some things about dealing with Gallente frigates in solo PVP.
That concluded my solo play for the day on to the fun fleet stuff.
After watching some TV with the wife I headed up and log on. There's a fleet forming up so I toss my X up in corp chat and join up.
These were 2 huge fleets going up. Close to 20 on each side obviously our recruiting efforts are paying off eventually the details are worked out to balance the fight people are shipped up and we rally up at a safe in Tourier.
Once the fleet is on station at the safe and our scouts confirm the Blue's fleet composition and locations we move on to Alenia and go setup on a gate to wait for the blue fleet to engage.
About the time we're setup with snipers in place here come the blues and it's on. For a change I'm not primaried at jump and start working through targets. This was a nice long fight by our normal standards. First target was dropped at 03:34 with the final death at 03:44 so a ten minute long fleet fight.
For the first time in an RVB fleet fight I actually had to reload my guns.
After killing the first Blue I just started working on targets, I stayed on the primary save for those times when I just wasn't going to be in range in which case I picked some likely target in range. Keeping points on what ever I could get.
At one point about halfway through the fight I appeared to have gotten primaried (or at least I started taking enough damage to chew through my shields and about 60% of my armor but then I guess who ever was shooting at my died or they changed primaries and my shield started recharging and I dodged my usual watch most the battle from my pod thing.
Then I got Orion scramed in his nice killboard stuffing Retribution and started hamemring on him since I wasn't close enough to engage the primary (and punishers are dog slow) then he was primaried and we burned him down.
Finally I scrammed a Maller and we started working on it. I started taking damage. the Maller was going down but so was I, I decide at this point to try and bug out and started to warp off.
Alas some blue saw me trying to take off and hit me with a point "poof" dead Punisher. But the Maller went down about the same time and that was pretty much the battle.
Rnd 2 a couple blue's were sent over to buffer our numbers to cover some folks who took off. This one I got primaried early on so not much to report apparently it was a good engagement with Blue's holding the field instead of us.
Refit another punisher and it's time for rnd3. Since I'm running out of space here I'll cover that in a little bit for another bumpski once my CCP's post inhibitor finishes cycling.

Battle Report continued.
So after the first 2 epic fights numbers started dropping off it was after midnight CST so most our eastern folks and many central time people started going to bed. Since I'm an idiot I x up for one last fight.
Keeping the 2 blue's who were sent over for the previous engagement and adding one extra from corp gave us an even 8v8 fleet. This time no cruisers just pure frig fest.
We gather up once again at a safe after reshipping from the previous engagement. Then we head back to Alenia for more fun.
We decide on a planet and warp to it to set up before notifying the Blue fleet only to find them warping in on us. hmmm..
No biggy Del starts calling targets and we start carving through the blues like a hot knife through warm butter. This fight I don't get primaried early so I get to have fun. We cycle through the targets until we're down to a couple of ships something I wasn't paying attention to and the Merlin I have tackled. I'm running out of armor so I start trying to open some distance between me and the Merlin who's tank is failing but not as fast as mine. I try to warp out but alas it's a mutual point.
By some minor miracle my ship stabilizes at 0 armor 0 shield and like 90% structure. About this time the fleet polishes off what they were working on and starts in on the Merlin.
Then a Blue Thrasher that wasn't a part of the fleet shows up about the same time the Merlin pops. Since I'm sitting there with a bit of aluminum foil between my pod and vacuum I warp off while the remaining Reds on grid kill the opportunistic thrasher too.
I warped to a safe an then docked up and repaired before heading home (already made the mistake of going to bed with out repairing a ship first. Cost me my pod and implants)
Was really a great night and illustrates why it's so important for us to have plenty of people online to make these fights happen.
My personal tally for the day was 16 kills to 4 losses and 2 of those were in the 1v1's earlier in the day.
Once again the only negative thing I can say about RVB is that you will run through isk like wine. But you'll have a damned good time.
So once again what are ya'll waiting for grab your frigs and come on down.

Honestly atm it seems to just vary based on random chance. Some nights blue's got the numbers and others reds are dominating.
I don't think it really matters much at this point. What Blue really needs is a couple more FC's to motivate their guys and get them organized.
Anyrate time for
*********************** *BUMPITY BATTLE REPORT* ***********************
Episode whatever..
Frig Feeding Frenzy.
As usual after watching a little TV I hop in my trusty pod and check out corp chat for action. Not long after that Morphe puts up an advert and people start piling in. We've got some serious numbers so everyone is instructed to stay in frigs and Dessies so I break out my new punisher fit check insurance and undock.
We rally up at a safe and once we have things more or less organized we set course to Blue Republic HQ in Alentene, By this point we have a 20 something frig blob of doom.
As we warp on station a lone rifter who didn't have the wisdom to warp out the second his overview went red and blinky was popped in something like a nanosecond then we moved over to the blue undock to see if we could stir them up for some fun.
We sat there for a long time popping anything that undocked and agressed. The only ones who escaped were the ones with good instas or beef enough tanks to survive long enough to deagress.
This went on for almost an hour we lost a few here and there but the frig swarm remained strong until finally Blue got together an organized enough force to push us off their undock. From there the fights move around to various gates in and around Alentene, No arranged fights just opportunistic skirmishes. With deaths racking up on both sides.
My trusty Punisher lasted pretty much the whole night I repaired it and docked up for more ammo several times. I got out of engagements twice in structure until the final big slug fest of the night Blues engaged us with several BC's and cruisers and a Scorpion on the Alentene gate in Morrales our frig force finally met its match and some of us started coming back in bigger ships. After slipping the begining of the engagement at 57% hull and repairing at the local station I high tailed it back to the Alentene gate.
I was too far from our main force who was taking down a Vexor so I scrambled a Myrmidon and started trying to kill off drones. As my armor was reaching it's end I tried warping out again alas this time the blues managed to keep me pointed and that was the end of my trusty Punisher, As my pod started warping back to Tourier the red fleet closed with the remaining hostiles on the gate. The cursed Myrmidon managed to deagress and slip the gate but the Scorpion decided to go down in a blaze of glory (another bit of killboard padding there)
I reshipped into a Vexor and headed back the theater unfortunately by the time I got there the battle was over, we held the field but at a horrible cost, Ok not really that horrible but it sounds more dramatic.
We headed back to base to regroup and pick up new frigs but by this point people were starting to run out of steam and log off.
Definitely one of the funnest evenings I've had yet in RVB.
My final tally for the night was 12 kills at the cost of one Punisher not too shabby.
So come on down if you want fast paced almost constant PVP RVB is the place to be.

As you can tell by reading the responses to this post, RVB can use pilots from any time slot and of any fashion!
The fact is, we fight a ton and the more the merrier in my opinion...
Check out R-V-B channell ask a few questions and then fly an armada of Frigs, dessies, Cruiser's and anything else your willing to lose right to Allentene or Tourier!
Its that easy, we would love to have more pilots ready and willing to bring the fights period... FC's are needed as well!
Hope to set your hull ablaze or focus your primary firepower as soon as possible!

I love RvB. Lots of things to love about it, including 1v1s practically 23/7 if you ask for one in the R-V-B channel, occasional roams out to 0.0/lowsec to see how long it takes to get shredded. Edited by: Skex Relbore on 24/05/2010 16:22:31 Bumpity battle report.
I had things to do Friday and Saturday nights and I'm a night only player (wife and two small children generally preclude any daytime activity beyond .01 isking market orders)so I missed 2 nights of playing with the associated slippage on the leader boards that such an absence entails.
Finally Sunday night I manage to get online itching for some action.
There aren't any Red Fleets active so I toss up an advert and start gathering folks. Soon Del joins so I pass him Boss so I can go back to slacking :)
At this point we're playing station/gate games with some Blues in local. We know there is a blue fleet in local that's close or a little bigger than ours but so far they've been avoiding direct engagement.
There's a Blue Myrmidon hanging out in Red HQ so I take my Vexor in to try baiting it. The Myrm docks up pretty much instantly though so after playing a few agro games with the Ishkur that's buzzing HQ. I decide to head off from undock figuring that if I can get outside dock up range a blue might be willing to aggress knowing I can't dock up if I get into trouble.
Meanwhile the Red fleet is sitting aligned and ready to warp in.
Sure enough as I get a little range from the station the Myrm is there on top of me. I quickly scram it and start working on him.
My fleet warps to me at zero and starts hammering the Myrm. As the Myrm's tank is crumbling the Blue fleet warps in, but they screwed up the warp in so all but one Retribution comes in at 100 instead of 0 leaving the bulk of their force too close to warp to their fleetmates and too far to assist directly in time.
The Myrm pops and I toss a point on the Retribution. As it gets enough range to slip my point someone else snags it and a few seconds later we get another tasty kill mail. The remainder of the blue fleet warps off so we regroup to move on to more fun.
Now that the blood lust is up we head off to find more victims. One of our scouts spots the Ishkur that had been messing around our HQ on the Varae gate in Alenia, The scout manages to get the Ishkur pilot too aggress and we're all jumping in and warping too him as fast as we can.
Sadly the Ishkur pilot is smart and saw the local spike so he performed a GTFO maneuver as we all landed on grid.
Ok enough random roaming we set course for Allentene, Jump on contact and head to blue HQ to rattle the cages and see if we can get them to come out and play.
We screw around there for a few minute with nothing going on then a Blue FC logs and and we start working together a little fleet action.
We arrange a cruiser/frig fight after some finagling over numbers and Morphe getting back from the Taco stand we end up with like 9v8 cruisers and frigs (ok one dessy but they die so easily should you really count them? ;)
We head over to planet 3 and set up. Then the blues warp in at 50 and things get to moving. First they send their drones in and we start popping them then one of their rifters gets into optimal and the fight begins in earnest.
Once the Rifter pops a rupture is called. I notice I'm way off from the rest of the fleet I really need to work on my spacial awareness. I head back into the fray.
The fight was a bit chaotic with our FC getting popped early then our back up target caller dropping voice, we ended up pretty spread out at one point a primary is called that's liek 50 klicks from me so I just go for a closer target.
Fortunately Blues made more mistakes than we did so Red held the field. Amazingly enough my ship survived notable just based on it's rarity.
We loot up and head back to base. We're losing members to the sleep ninja's so after some hemming hawing and afking we decide to do a Purple Cruiser FFA.
I'm running up against my posting length limit here and I want to be able to do justice to the FFA so I'll post the details on that later for another bump ;-)

Must give this a try. It's been far to long and I'm in need of Dakka!
Got a question for you though: How often do you indulge in silly fights (battle covetors, disco dancin', logistics wars, etc?)

Bumpitybumpitybump
Ok so got a little wrapped up in actual work yesterday (boo work) but hey they don't actually pay me to post so I gotta do some now and again.
First I'm going to fulfill my promise of a write up of the Cruiser FFA. Then I'll give a brief battle report of last night activities.
Cruiser FFA RC1.
After the more organized battle the force online isn't really sufficient for more fleet on fleet action so the determination is made it's time for a FFA.
We all head over to the new FFA system that's being established. (new experiment a system designated as a FFA zone where you can take a frig and go shoot at any RVB player regardless of team)
Normally it's restricted to Frigs but for this we go Cruiser.
As usual once people arrive the rules are laid out, prizes announced and start is called.
I'm in my fail fit Thorax figuring I'm likely to be first out. So I pick a close target in this case a Caracal light up the MWD and head for it. once I get in release drones put a tight orbit and start opening up with my blasters. The Caracal pops pretty easily then I'm engaged with a rupture my shields drop pretty fast and then I"m overheating my repper trying to stay alive alas concentrated fire from the Rupy and this brutal Caracal brings my hope of survival to an end.
The fight drags on for a while with the usual shifting aliances and betrayals until it comes down to 2 Vexors and a Arty Rupture.
The Rupture holds off the Vexors for a while shooting their drones and forcing them to pull em back but finally one of the Vexors manages to close on the Rupture and then they pull it down. At this point the Vexors go at it until we have a lone survivor.
1st Cruiser FFA successful.
Battle Report 5/24 US Late night.
I could write a long drawn out battle report on this night starting with my rallying up a red fleet the poping a Blue Vexor that was hanging on our Undock.
Or the subsequent scuffle on the Tourier gate in Alenia.
I could wax eloquently about the initial skirmishes on the Alentene gate and glorious explosions we extracted from our enemies as Blue ships continued to abandon their fleet mates.
I could give a detailed account of how we Reds caught the blues desperately trying to rally up in allentene and describe the ensuing battle that escalated from Frig/Cruiser all the way to BC's and BS.
I could describe the turning tide as one of the new Blue's stepped up and took charge and valiantly lead his fellow corp mates in their effort to defend their system from the red horde.
I could do all that. Or I could just link the Battle Summary
29 ships equaling over 800million isk destroyed in one high sec battle that spanned 2 systems and an hour and a half time.
That's the sort of thing ya'll are missing out on.

Good hunting gentlemen.
Our application process is the easiest in the world.
Open people/places select corporation type Red fed or Blue rep in the search box show info on the corp you want to join choose apply to join put any old nonsense in there (heck leave it all blank it don't really matter) hit send and as soon as someone with the role is online your in. Easy as that.
Now I do suggest doing a couple things to prepare. One pick up a copy of Infomorph psychology and train it up to 2 or 3. Then read this and follow the instructions to make some jump clones (however many you are trained up for. This will allow you to protect your implants if you decide to go on one of our 0.0 roams.
Probably be a good idea to move some ships and modules to the base of which ever corp you want to join so you're prepared.
Then get in a fast frig with an MWD and make insta undocks at both HQ's. If you are particularly motivated you can then go make tactical books marks at each gate linking Tourier and Alentene both sides at at around 200k so you can scout the gates prior to jumping to 0.
A couple other notes. Leave your expensive mission ship behind. You are going to lose ships. My advise is always to consider a ship lost the moment it undocks because more often or not it will be.
at that point put in your app to which ever corp you decided on and once your app clears say hi in corp and see if there are any fleets active.
Get out there be active and have fun.
It's very handy that you have an alt that you can use for logistics because you really don't want to be going around on shopping trips on your combat character.(IOW leave your non-PVP character out of the corp)
Some of the Caldari specced pilots will be able to help you out on your skill plan.
Other than that come on down and get ready to rumble

Just a few tid bits of info, Please join R-V-B channel for any more details.
#1 Once you have left your current corporation, and joined Red or Blue. Your war status will mirror RVB's and your current corporation will have no effect on your status.
#2 Right now both sides can use your help. So just go with your heart on that one. Our fights are just getting better and better as we add more PVP hungry pilots...
#3 Anything T1, is very common to be honest. The most active battles usually include Frigs and Dessies, but Our BC and below fights have been off the hook. Bring and fly what you can afford to lose.
#4 Once you join you will have full access to our forums, in the LORP Forum you will find a detailed breakdown of our conflict. here is the link http://rvb.tech-pc.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=523

Welcome aboard I look forward to shooting at you.
No battle report today since I logged on to the message saying servers were coming down in like 40 minutes.
Damn you CCP how am I supposed to maintain my position on the leaderboards if you patch during my play time!
Oh well hopefully the initial buginess of the expansion will prevent the day crew from stealing another march on me ;)

Damn page 7 time to stick this back up.
So Patch day glorious Patch day as usual patch day caused much chaos and confusion.
Since CCP and Vivox managed to jack up EVE Voice again and both teams tend to use that for Comms things were very disorganized when I got on.
Anyway the guy who got me started in this game was online and we were both on my vent server so we had comms, He reported a rifter on undock I came out with a rifter of my own. The Blue rifter was sitting a couple hundred K above the base so I warped to my handy tactical above the base and started heading towards the him.
He's closing too when I realize that this is my experimental fleet fit supersheild Rifter with no scram. Well there ain't no POINT to fighting like that so I dock up and swap the Invu II out for a scram and head back out.
Couple minutes of cat and mouse and we're back in the same position above base. this time I got a point and we're going to do this thing.
We close and start going at it. The shield fit is working nicely as I carve through the Blue's shields then armor, Sadly at this point the disadvantage of a shield rifter comes up as the Blue starts gaining range. My backup arrives on field only to realize that he's forgot to put bullets in his guns. The Blue manages to slip my point and escape just as damage starts bleeding into his structure. Oh well GF to local and commend his escape.
At this point a Blue Vexor shows up on station grid and not being completely suicidal I dock up and grab my own, undock and head off to a safe.
Rexor stays to bait in his Merlin eventually one of the Blues take the bait and I warp to the battle put a point on the Enemy Vexor, release my little buddies and start wearing him down. About the time he pops a couple more enemy cruisers show up on station so I boogie back to my safe.
This sort of thing continues as I start trying to rally people into the fleet passing out my Vent server IP so we can get some voice coms up.
A call is given that there are a couple blues on the Merolles gate so I head over in my trusty Vexor while in warp the guy who called the hostiles announces the trap so I jump on through swarm of blues then go to the station in Merolles where I spend a little time working to get the fleet organized and some guys on coms.
Finally we're getting some folks in Vent so I decide to see if I can make it back to base to rally up. I jump through the Merolles gate to Tourier into a cloud of Blues, I try to warp but they got a point on me.
Fleets not quite in position to help, so I target a rifter figuring if I'm gonna die I'm taking one of them with me. The rifter pops then I pop and head back to base to get another ship.
Now we're kind of organized, we rally up and head to Merolles, We manage to catch a Taranis on the gate who thought he was going to get one of our Merlins, then it's off to Alentene.
We set up on the Alentene/Meroles gate and play for a while we engage a blue Rupture who manages to slip point deep in structure (darn).
Then the blues come at us with several cruisers They manage to pop 1 of our merlins and a Caracal in exchange we take one of their Vexors.
A couple of our pilots popped an Ishkur while returning w/ new ships.
A few minutes of regrouping and we send a merlin to their undock and manage to agress an arbitrator which was then exchanged for another Merlin.
Guess the blues took offense at our making a mess on their undock and brought out a hype and several BCs/cruisers we boogie out and give them the field.
We see a couple of them head off to a safe so we get our prober into fleet probe them down and take out another Caracal and teach them not to rally quite so close to their base.
Pretty fun night despite the comm issues we managed to take out 4 cruisers 2 assault frigs and a T1 Frig in exchange for 3 cruisers and 3 frigs and had a blast doing it.
So I ask again whatcha waiting for? Join R-V-B and come on down

*I believe that if you leave a corp at war, you are no longer involved in the war. War is declared on corporations not players. Not that we care, the more targets the better!
*Drop by the RVB public chat and ask, it fluctuates based on timezone and latest recruiting.
*Mostly t1 frigates and cruisers. But BC's and BS's get undocked in from time to time as well. You'll also see the odd assortment of various t2 ships, but not as often.
*Not sure on the last one, but maybe when you drop by the public room someone can help you out with that!
FOR THE TEAPOT! *EDIT* Spelling and grammar

Bumpity bump bump bump
Battle report 5/27
I had a dental appointment yesterday so I had a half a day off afterwards which I used to get a little flight time in.
So after making some quick market adjustments to try to keep the isk incoming I log on and x up for a fleet. I got on right after an arranged flight and the FC anounces that Blue's need like 30 minutes to get their s*$t together so he wants to do a Frig FFA.
Well even though I've had less than stellar luck in those so far, they have been a ton of fun so I hop in an active tanked punisher I have ready and undock. Once I'm on grid I realize that I forgot to stick a cap booster on it so I stop and prepare to redock.
Then I remember this little Rifter fit I'd come up with for this that I wanted to try so instead of getting a booster I picked up my supershield tanked rifter and head off to the battleground.
As usual the rules are read "stay with in 60 klicks of the can, Don't target until the go call don't pod don't come back and clutter up the battle field with your newb ship to get your stuff and so forth.
This time I've got a new plan so I set a 30k orbit off the can that marks the center of the field and wait for the call.
The call is given and I put my plan into action which is pretty simple in it's basis. Don't target anyone until they start to target me. and let people kill each other off to clear the field a bit.
After the battle is called a Rifter pilot decides to target me so I return the favor close and engage. This guys getting shot by another Rifter and between the two of us the first target melts (A small fitting lesson here buffer extension rigs are percentage based and are rather useless unless there is some buffer to extend)
Once the first Rifter pops I engage the one that helped me kill it. This second of my victims was already heavily damaged by a previous engagement so he went down pretty quickly.
Ok so 2 down and the field has shrunk down significantly by this point between various deaths and a one pilot flying outside the engagement bounder it comes down to me and the Red Fed CEO and we start working on each other.
It's a very even match up his tanky Punisher with a seemingly endless supply of cap boosters and my passive shield Rifter we fly around for a while trying to figure out a way to best the other until the ref finally decides he wants a winner and calls in the pilot who'd went out of range to help break the tie.
We reset (I snatch some extra ammo out of a wreck) then the go is called again. The pilot who was let back in is in a MWD fit rifter allowing him to stay outside the range of Morphe and I and the two of us are still pretty much evenly matched and it's going to come down to who the extra pilot breaks after first.
Finally the other rifter stops buzzing around and comes in hard at me stripping my tank down almost instantly between the sustained fire. At this point I know I'm going down so I overheat everything and pump as much damage as I can into the Rifter.
Boom the extra Rifter pops and it's back down to me and Morphe. But now I have no shields my armor is gone and I'm deep into structure so I set a course away and try to gain some range to get my shields back up.
Alas it is not to be my moment of victory Even though I manage to get a few % of shield back my AB burns out and I turn into a sitting duck to the MWD fit punisher which finally manages to deliver the death blow to my ship.
Some of the best fun I've had yet and the experience really showcased how much my skills have improved in the month I've been with RVB.
Also I know next time I'm in a situation like that not to fly in a straight line but to zig zag to keep traversal high.
And that was just like an hour of my time flying yesterday. Then there were the multiple fleet fights I got into during my normal play time. All told I got in on 23 kills at the cost of 3 ships lost and even did a little primary calling. I'll try to do a writeup on it later

Still need FC's as we are growing daily, with every new group of pilots we hope to put another commander in front of them to lead them into battle.
We have guys ready and willing to fly into danger, take em ouT vs red to spank that ruby bootamus, take em out in a free roam looking for ganks, or fly em deep into 0.0 -- The truth is we have guys that want to get fights anyway they can get em.

I am enjoying this thus far and would recommend it. Just be sure to fly cheap ships at first as you get to know how things work and which fleet commanders you feel comfortable with.
Ironically, I would recommend this even more for industrial types than those just seeking combat. Once you learn how to haul, trade, mission, and mine under constant war, you'll be able to do all those things in low and nullsec. You also won't be afraid any more of someone declaring war on you and be able to hold your own corp together under such a threat. This will give you a considerable advantage over your rivals and improve your enjoyment of EVE.

Bumpity battle report.
Ok long weekend so I'm just going to hit the highlights.
Was involved in a couple FFA's that blue put on when Red didn't have enough to field a fleet.
We had so many fleet battles they all blur together. Who was getting the upper hand varied from night there were some fights where we completely dominated and others where Blue pwned us so bad it made me consider goign back to being a carebear, kidding I like blowing stuff up too much.
I managed to ***** onto 72 killmails over the long weekend and lost 11 ships.
Ironically even though I am a big time carebear advocate I was the top griefer for the month popping 2 industrials (note to potential applicant's use alts to do your shopping or ask someone to haul stuff in for you.)
It really was just too much to remember much less write up in the limited number of characters that these boards allow. Suffice to say that it was a very eventful weekend filled with explosions and smoldering wreckage.
I will do a brief write up of Monday night since it's still pretty fresh in my memory.
So I log on last night to discover that I'd been bumped to the #4 spot for kills for the month thanks to a last minute rally by number 3.
No fleets up and Blue's busy playing with WT's that aren't valid targets for us yet. So I spend some time managing market orders then taking the alt I specced for the domi out to try and make a little mission income. (this is an expensive hobby)
While doing this I see a blue Caracal called on undock so I roll out in the punisher I'm sitting in. Once undocked I lock onto the Caracal and scram it.
Then I see the call for Purple in local so I disengage, later it turns out that the WT had joined the fray after blues aggressed a red so I didn't feel too bad.
I dock back up and sit for a bit, while doing stuff on my other accounts. Then someone calls more blues on station and that they've aggressed. Whoohoo. Out comes my gank Brutix, this has been a lucky ship I keep taking it out and it keeps coming back.
So out to kill a Vexor, next there's a Caracal off station a couple clicks I burn to it and start hammering it. another Red has come up in their Drake and we're busily rocking the Caracal's world. Amazingly it just sits there while we kill it even though neither of us had a point ;-) (there's a lesson there)
finally I manage to ***** on to a Rupture kill then things die down for a bit and I park the Brutix.
A little while later intel comes in that blue's are mobilizing and heading our way. So we come up with a plan and I hop into my Station defense Domi.
When the blue fleet lands on undock they agress our FC in his Myrm and the call is given to undock the battleships. I come out and start putting reps on the Myrm and deploy drones and my neuts on the primary.
The Myrm is taking a beating so I overheat my top rack and start firing off cap charges. The blues really want that myrm dead and stay on it despite it's continual survival.
We finally down the Drake that's primary and switch targets to the blue Hype. Our Myrm is trying to deaggress and I've had to stop overheating to avoid burning out my mods. Some sort of bugginess occurs and the myrm starts to dock then gets the "you can't dock" message at this point the poor myrm has taken all it can and implodes.
At some point we switch to the Hype and melt it (another lesson active armor tanks are fail for PVP)
Finally I get neuts and drones on the last rifter that didn't get away and rack up a 3rd kill. Later I found that I somehow got on the KM for our Myrm as well. I think the km generator got confused by too much going on and decided that one of my reps was a neut (I did look through my logs and never saw any neuts deployed on the Myrm) oh well another juicy km
Not bad for it's maiden flight.
In a final fit of boredom the Hype pilot came back in a dual tanked Myrm and I went out in my trusty Vex and got on that km too.
So whatcha waiting for?

Kind of a slow night last night. I got on as one fight was ending and that fleet disbanded. After doing my normal undercutting of the local war profiteers I started up a fleet and started gathering folks to see if we could get some trouble started.
I hadn't mentioned it in previous postings but I was asked to be a team leader for Red Federation recently so I'm doing my best to live up to those responsibilities. I don't feel like I'm quite ready to FC yet though the rest of the leadership keeps threatening me with it. But I have taken over target calling a couple times.
Anyway I can and do work to put together fleets to hand over to our competent FCs.
So we get a little crew going slightly outnumbered by blues so they send a couple blues over to join us. It's a very newb heavy fleet and it takes us a while to get comms straightened out, People talking in squad instead of fleet, new guys shooting at the blues who came over. One guy who managed to get himself popped by a rupture sitting on our undock. Fun stuff.
Eventually we get into our safe in Merolles then have to wait a bit while blues pop a war target while on their way to the fight.
Then it's on we warp in then here come the blues. so I settle into combat mode target primary web and shoot ect.
I thought things were going pretty well until I got primaried and popped. I warp out and bring my pod back to 100 to find that our guys are pretty heavily outnumbered eventual our guys all bail or die and it's back to base to prep for rnd 2.
Round 2 was even worse than rnd 1 I got primaried very early in the fight (we only had a couple rifters to get shot first) This time however I actually managed to slip the scram by a little manual flight combined with overheating my AB and managed to escape with like 20% structure remaining.
After that the fleet kind of died off and I spent the remainder of the evening talking about fitting with some of our new members.
Examination of the post fight killmails pretty much pointed to poor fitting as the cause of our failure.
It is worth noting that bringing good fits to a fleet fight makes a big difference. The difference between a rigged T2 fit ship and a non-rigged is immense we talking like doubling EHP letting a single primary live 2 times as long.
One guy running a crap fit might not make much difference but 5-6 out of 10 doing so can definitely effect the outcome of a fight.
Anyway it was a still a good night though I only managed to bag 8 kills I also only lost 1 ship so tis all good.
And the good news about newbs in fleet is that we can fix their fitting issues and turn them into lean green killing machines in no time.
Join R-V-B and start carting modules over. You won't reqret it.

Daily bumpity
Well some days nothing goes your way ;)
Logged on last night and this time there was already a fleet formed so I get in it and someone calls a blue fleet in local. I undock in my trusty Vexor and warp to the fleet member who had the warp in. To find a big blob of Rifters that were scattering as we landed. Sadly I got no kills since they had scattered before I even had a lock.
We start playing cat and mouse with Blue at various gates in system then on the Alenia gate I finally managed to bag my first kill of the night.
A little more cat and mouse and intel comes in about a blue fleet in Alenia. Our bait engages and the call to warp in is given.
Apparently half the people in our fleet were asleep or something since only 4 or 5 of our 18 man fleet managed to show up on grid. Now I'm in the middle of a huge swarm of blues with multiple scrams and webs on me. So I start calling primaries for the few of us there and do my damnedest to take out as many of the Blue bastages as I can. 3 dead frigs later my pod is making it back to base while the FC is chastising the rest of the fleet for being awol.
Ok time to get in a punisher it's obviously going to be one of "those" nigthts and I'd rather loose a 8 mil isk ship than another 30 mil one.
Back to Alenia to the Alentene gate. There's a Blue Caracal playing sniper with us so our FC explains that there are wrecks on the other side of the Caracal that are far enough away to warp in so a little quick math and warp to 20k from the Caracal hit prop mod and cross fingers that my slow punisher can close before the caracal rabits.
Then I see my speed 1400ms wtf.. oh yeah I remembered I'd set a punisher up with an MWD and seems that I got into that one. 10 seconds later I'm in scram range and that Caracal ain't going nowhere. boom kill mail.
I have a little armor and heat damage so I go hit a station and repair while we get everyone organized on the gate.
About this time Blue asks for an arranged fight so we agree work out the details and wait for them.
A little while later they warp in on us at the gate primaries are called then they proceed to womp us very thuroughly. 4 of our guys pop almost instantly then I'm primaried and melting. We manage to take 2 blues out before they utterly devastate our fleet.
After this it's back to base for a bit to figure out what went wrong.
Not my most successful nights only 7 kills
Still it goes with the territory there is an eb and flow to the way it goes with balance. For a while there we were pretty thuroughly pwning blues regularly but now they've got a good crew on my timezone so it's time for us to step our game up.
Be back out again tonight even with the not so successful nights like the last 2 it's still a blast. Cool people to hang out in chat with and lots of combat.
Once again I say if you want a taste of PvP R-V-B is for you. Bring some ships and modules down, or hell just bring isk we got a halfway decent little trade hub down here with several of us regularly running stuff in from Dodixie and Jita.
Oh we've also got all sorts of cool stuff planned going forward. This weekend there are 4 FFA events planned. 2 cruiser FFAs and 2 Industrial FFAs. Yeah you heard me right Industrial FFA. T1 indi's duking it out.
So come on down pick a team fit a ship (actually you should probably fit 4 or 5) and get too it.

Bumpity battle report or the Chronicles of a PVP Noob.
Finally after several nights of lack light activity I get a good solid night of fights in.
Things started off a little rough Red's were camping Blue's undock and I flew over there however I never got a fleet invite and lost my first Vexor of the night with no kills to it's name.
Oh well back to base and convo FC to get into fleet.
Things have escalated nicely and thanks the new ship program people are willing to take out some bigger stuff so we put together a BC Cruiser Fleet to go meet our Blue foes.
At some point this flips from being skirmish warfare to becoming an arranged fight. I'm about to take out my new Brutix that I got through the ship program with it's shinny new T2 neutrons but our CEO talked me into taking out the bait fit ubertanked version that he wanted to see in action.
Ok off to space I undock and realize that the mids already had heat damage, Oh well it's just the mids I just won't be able to overheat them too much. Lesson learned always get a repair quote on strange ships.
Long story short we form up agree on a planet and go meet blues for battle. We went after their Hurricanes and they went after our Thoraxes. WTF they didn't take the bait .
Oh well more Killmails for me. The brutix lasted to nearly the end mainly thanks to the fact that Blue didn't go for the bait. So from now on I'm flying bait ships with unlinked guns to ***** killmails.
Epic battle we ended up holding the field lots of destruction good stuff.
Round 2 we shipped down to cruiser/frigs by this point things are kind of bluring together I think we won this fight though scratch another Vexor.
By this point this is becoming a very expensive night and it's getting a little late we look at fleet and realize we're down to 8 Blue still has 18. No way to even that up even with just frigs 18 on 8 is going to be rough. Blue offers to fight us in Noob ships. So for giggles we grab various ships and head out to meet them. No real killmails to be had out of this so it's just for fun.
Needless to say our CNR anchored fleet wiped the floor with the noobships. Though the swarm did manage to take out 4 of our frigs and almost ate my speed fit Atron (though I managed to slip their net and mwd around the field using my drone to wreak additional havoc. Ok the CNR was kind of overkill ;).
Coming off our amazing victory against superior numbers we prepare for another battle blues have come down a few and only outnumber us by like 3 or 4 now so we bring a couple destroyers that we hope will even the odds a bit.
That didn't work out too well for us us losing 8 to the 4 that we killed. There were some tactical mistakes made on our side and between that and the disparity in numbers blue emerges victorious.
Next fight goes a little better things are getting close numbers wise and this one fights to almost a draw with us having one Punisher and blues one Kestrel left on the field. Sadly the Punisher couldn't close with the Kestrel so we surrendered the field. Still an almost perfect fight I love the ones where only a couple pilots survive it means we matched closely.
Next comes my final fight of the night (should have already been in bed but I"m stupid like that) I decide to change up my normal fit and put a SARII on my tank this round to see what I could manage with it. Unfortunately thanks to a couple tactical mistakes on our part we were pretty solidly slaughtered on this round only getting 5 of them while they bagged 10 of us.
All told it was total blast. Including Noobships (that don't count as real kills) I got in on 31 kills call that 29 real kills at the cost of 6 ships.
Most the fights weren't too lopsided and some of our newbs are getting squared away.
Once again if you want quick instant action PVP join the R-V-B channel and start making your way over.

Bumpity battle report
Busy weekend, Lots of fights fleet and otherwise much too much to fit into the limited space provided by a forum post so I'll just hit the highlights.
Friday night we're finally getting our newbs to understand the value of rigs. One guys came out in an unrigged punisher so we gave him a set to demonstrate their value he didn't have the skill trained so I had him trade the ship over to me and I stuck the rigs on for him.
After the fight he was a convert and I suspect will be rigging his ships in the future.
2 rounds that night with blue suffering sound defeats at our hands. 18 total killmails at the cost of one Punisher.
Saturday night. I got on a little earlier than I normally did just in time to make the Cruiser FFA that I didn't think I'd be on for.
Since I hadn't expected to make one of these I didn't really have a ship prepared so I hastily slap together a vexor fit and after redocking a couple times to pick up things I thought of right after undocking I headed over to Channace to join the event expecting to die a quick painful death in my half thought out ship.
I get into position out away from other clusters of ships the rules are read prizes announced then the go call given.
My basic strategy on these things is pretty simple try to keep a low profile and only target ships that target me. One ship targets me pretty early but he's way off and in a Vexor so I'm not too concerned just keep an eye out for drones. then I get targeted by a Rupture and we go to town.
Now generally these things are kind of like shark schools in a feeding frenzy as soon as one starts to show red multiple combatants will gang up on them.
I fight through several engagements burning cap boosters and managing drones. Killing off drones that are attacking me with opponents out of range and killing those that I can.
Somehow my little Vexor is still on the field as the 30 some odd cruisers that started off the fight rapidly thinned until there were 6 then 5 at this point I finally close with the rupture that had targeted me at the beginning of the fight. I lose a couple drones but finally he's down and I'm cruising around popping cap charges and repping my armor back up. Now there are only 4 of us left the next one out is the last before prizes start. Three of us turn our guns/drones on one unfortunate nano Vexor then there were 3. Almost the second the Vexor popped Delelia comes at me with his Thorax telling me to eat antimatter I reply with "eat drones" and the Thorax pops (somehow I missed this KM will have to fix that when I get home tonight).
Now it's down to me and Vanyok. He's rocking 3 medium neuts which is forcing me to do some serious cap management. I burn out my guns which has the one nice side affect of leaving all my cap for my repper and it becomes a race between our drones and our cap booster supply.
In the end I think we both ran out of cap boosters about the same time at least there are no charges on his killmail and there were none left in my cargo when I docked up.
I manage to get just enough reps our of my MARII to stay ahead of him and my remaining 4 drones finally finished him off.
Whoohoo my first FFA victory in one that really matters (prize package was substantial). A couple spectators target me and I ask is this some sort of thing where the victor has to lose his ship too they say no so I warp off to repair so the winning fit remains a mystery.
After that everyone had so much fun that we had a frig FFA which I reffed so the Cruiser Ref could get a chance to fight.
We had a couple fleet battles after that but that I'm running out of characters so I'll leave it at that save to say we reds whooped up on Blue.
Sunday night was pretty dead no fleet action other than a couple blues camping our undock. I managed to take out one of their Omens and a Brutix with my Brutix escaping as the Blue sniper started getting into my structure.
Very fun weekend.

Very slow night last night. Not sure if some big worldwide event was going on that I didn't know about but we reds only managed to scare up about 8 for a fleet and blues didn't even manage that.
Most of the time was spent flitting around trying to bait the few blues that were online into committing to a fight. Was definitely slim pickings personally I only got one 1 KM for the night, Think that's the worse record I've had yet.
Did take advantage of the dead time to take care of what my buddy Rexor lovingly refers to as Non-revenue generating activities. Or in the case of EVE non-kill-mail generating activity. E.g Logistics.
My prize package from the Cruiser FFA was delivered so I spent a little time setting up my new battleship (How exactly will have to remain a mystery until such time as it dies) and moving some ships about.
I also took care of some logistical stuff on my other accounts, moved a load of goods from Jita to stock the market and finished training a second Orca pilot so the first can go run missions to buffer my income until I can get my trade going.
Oh well, was all stuff I needed to do anyway but never get around too since killing is so much more fun.
It also shows why we have to recruit so much.
The nature of RVB is casual so there is no commitment required. For example we have one pilot that gets on one night a week. She'll log on get a few kills then we won't see her for another week. We have others that are on almost every night. Others will take a day or two off a week to go mission or earn isk in some other way. Some join for a couple days or a month or a week then move on.
The upshot of this is that we require a continual influx of new players to keep our ranks full and the fights poping.
So I'll give my usual pitch. Come join RVB make new friends and enemies and shoot them.
We've got many more events planned going forward including a 2v2 cruiser tournament and more on the horizon as our events committee dream them up. There are opportunities to those who wish to leadership positions especially aspiring Fleet commanders.
It remains a great place to get used to PVP combat in EVE. It's also a great place to learn with lots of helpful vets and chances to experiment.
Look at me a month and a half ago I could barely remember to turn on my guns in combat. Today I'm calm and collected not only do I remember to turn my guns but I'm managing cap and starting to gain some ability at manual flight.
I'm no longer so tunnel visioned on that one target in front of me and as I gain confidence and experience my overall situational awareness is improving.
I've learned how to effectively fit ships to the point where I can get away with a little experimentation and was able to slap together something on the fly that managed to best 30+ others in the a Cruiser FFA.
I don't say this to point out how awesome I am. I do so to point out how awesome RVB is because I'd not be where I am today if not for the lessons learned from all the other pilots in RVB and the opportunities it has provided.
So who's RVB for? Anyone who wants fast no drama instant action combat. Anyone who wants to get some basic PVP experience. If you have newb corpies who need a little seasoning send em over we'll toughen them up. If you're bored with gatecamps and roaming for hours through null and low sec to find a single target make an alt and come over.
Our only requirements are a pulse a good attitude and a fat wallet (ok that last isn't a requirement but it helps)
One other note. Don't come over thinking this is some sort of gentleman's dueling society. It isn't it's a highsec war so you will get ganked and you will do some ganking. But we also have plenty of fair fights, And for those of you who like 1v1 they are honored (actually one of our few rules is to honor 1v1s)
You'll make lasting friendships and develop useful skills that will follow you through your entire EVE career.
So once again what are you waiting for?

Been back in game for a little bit after a LONG break. Carebeared my @$$ off for awhile, but it got boring quickly. Like always. went looking for some adventure and found RvB. Within minutes of joining I was in a fleet, and got my first kill in a Long time a few minutes later. RvB holds tournaments and competitions often from what I have seen. Relaxed atmosphere for someone who cant commit every waking minute to the game. Overall, I think its a great place for someone new or re-new to the game. I believe that unless you are looking for 40 man BS/Capital blobs, anyone wanting to let their layzurz loose would have a great time in RvB.

Thats the simple math RED VS BLUE has lived by ever since it's conception, and trust me it's a proven method thats paid us all back again and again...
The reason we are in full recruiting mode is quite simple really - We want as many pilots as we can get. As long as you wantand desire good quality PEW PEW.
RVB can be the best little sandbox in the universe to make your castle and destroy it again and again...
Check out R-V-B Channel if any other questions, otherwise Join Red or Blue and give this INSTA-PVP WAR a chance, you wont look back I assure ya.

Originally by: Rentin Dracor Been back in game for a little bit after a LONG break.
Spot on!
Having a rubbish time in RvB is difficult tbh!

Not a lot of time to do a long battle report today. I'm actually having to work at work. Imagine that.
Anyway got on for a couple fights last night 2 cruiser/frig matches. Took my trusty Vexor and downed 9 of the cursed blues in the first engagement though it cost me a ship. Almost made it out was entering warp as my last bit of structure evaporated. Oh well we held the field so at least I managed to get most my loot back.
We (as in red) were recently deced by a rather large alliance one of our directors used to fly with some of them and says they're a little more serious than the usual bunch of fail deccers. I'd heard earlier that these guys had a huge BS fleet around but I didn't see any action on the kb's.
Anyway a couple of these Orphan guys had been scouted out in Alentene and as the fight (that we had held in Yulai was ending reports came that the WT were in route to Yulai. Ok so we're cruisers and frigs (several of those newb ships) and the WTs have at least 2 BS and Ishkur support plus what ever neutral logistics they have running about.
We take circuitous route back to Tourier to avoid getting caught in our light fleet, Hop in a bunch of BS's and BC's and head over to Meroles. One of our guys is scouting them and trying to bait in Meroles but he's just in a Vexor which wasn't going to hold up long against those odds so we sent a Drake in to bait.
About this time the scout reports them heading to the Tar gate. We give chase to that gate but we're not about to follow them to what ever trap they had laid in return so we decide to head back to fight Blue's one more time. I do wonder though whether they had good scouts or a spy in our midst.
Oh well Blue's wanting a chance for revenge after getting pwnd 2X already that night so we decide we're going to do something funky and screw with Orion's head.
Every who can fits out a thorax with an identical fit. It's a nice one 1600mm plated trimarked with a full rack Medium blasters (ok well mine had a partial rack since I was missing the mod to squeeze on that last blaster brought a load of RCUII's back from Jita later that night)
So we head in and they don't know what to do, Counter to to our normal no snipe FC thing Orion primaries our FC and back up caller. Guess he thought they were gank fit while the rest of us were tank. Little did he know that all 6 of of the Thorax's were identical (or near enough) that it didn't matter which got primaried they all had beef tanks and good gank.
9 kills later Blues done for the night as Orion goes back to figure out what went wrong.
Anyone who's read these battle reports knows that the shoes been on the other foot before so it happens to the best of us ;-)
At this point it's back to base to engage in a little non-killmail generating activity.
Then about the time I should have been in bed a WT docks up with his Maelstrom.
Ok time to try and kill him so I take out my RR Domi and aggres him he sweeps away my shields in 2 swift shots then runs up against the wall of my 4 1600s.
Del brings out his CNR and Morph his Navy Domi another pilot brings out a 3rd Domi and we engage. The WT has a neut logi with him so the CNR starts by running it off then the Mael turns on the CNR and drops it's tank down really fast. All three domi's pump RR into the CNR keeping it alive long enough to deagress and dock, was close and a good thing we had so much RR on hand.
Once the CNR was safely docked up I hopped into station to grab my gank Brutix and went back to play. We start hammering the Mael but it's got an epic tank and manages to rep through all our damage long enough to deagress and dock up. We congratulate him on his survival then it's bed time for me.
Fun night and from the looks of things we've got some pretty challenging fights coming up. Gonna be fun to break out the big stuff for a change.
So come on and down and join the fun.
So much for this being short ;-)

Time to put this back up to the top.
Bumpity battle report part whatever.
Mixed night last night.
Hopped in the existing fleet nothings going on so I'm adjusting market orders and just shooting the **** with the gang when about the time we've all given up hope of getting any action and I suggest a FFA one of the blues chimes in about wanting a fight. So we slap our fleet into motion and head over to Meroles where we have a great fight. We're plugging through blues giving a good as they get. I get primaried pretty late in the game so it's overheat everything and start burning towards a celestial spamming warp I slip point at about 21% structure then am working on repping back some armor by this time it's down to 2 on 2, I've got about 20% armor back and warp back to the field. I get there in time to get a point on one of the remaining blues they primary me so I'm trying to find enough cap to run a cycle of rep then the second to the last blue dies and then we get the last one in range. I'm not sure if any managed to escape I think maybe a couple snipers made it out all in all though very fun fight.
So back to Tourier watching the smoke and flames trail me as I dock up to repair.
Then it's back out to Alenia for round too. This time we don't fare anywhere near as well. Blue's stepped up their game quite a bit on this one or we just started sucking. Once again I manage to make a structure escape saving my punisher for round 3.
Round 3 pretty much goes the same as round 2 with the evil blues getting the best of us. This time my GTFO maneuver fails and I need to fit a new punisher
By this point it's pushing 1am for me and it's time for bed.
For a night that started off slow it ended with a bang with 3 good fights. Wining isn't everything and one thing you learn pretty quickly here is just how many things go into victory or defeat. But that's why we're here to go out shoot and get shot.
The best attitude IMO for RVB is a desire to have fun and a willingness to throw away good isk. I try to have fun no matter what the results win or lose, whatever ship I happen to get blown up. I've had over a billion isk in ships shot out from under me and managed to help destroy near 6 billion isk of others.
As usual I say you'll have a hard time finding this much action anywhere else in the game so come on down we always have room for more people who are interested in joining the fun.

Last night, I got tired of mining and switched over to my RvB toon and helped kill a 3rd party war target! Luvs to kill dem and make dem cry! I always get a kick out of how the PvP snobs think RvB players are all clueless noobs and an easy way to pad their KB. Some of us, like me, ARE cute little PvP nubbins, but we have some awesome FCs in both corps and we're always happy to de-pants the snobs. Edited by: caldarichecker on 12/06/2010 12:40:19 Edit: damn it somehow the damned EVE boards decided to use a market alt to post this.. (this is Skex posting)
OK was a bit busy at work yesterday so didn't get to do my daily battle report so I'll roll up the last two nights into this one.
Thursday schools out and I take off the day to watch my son who's now an ex kindergartner, I do manage to get one for a few minutes during the day long enough to join the Red fleet long enough to gank a couple Blue BC's.
Then it's back to playing Wii with my son and other crap.
Finally get the family all to bed and I log into Eve. I say hi and start trying to figure out if there is a fleet when I see a comment in the RVB command channel from Del saying that Skex was putting together a fleet and would be FCing.
Ok so the rest of blue leadership had been threatening to make me FC and this appears to be D-day. Ok I figure if they dying that much wth.
I form up a fleet and rally everyone out at a safe. Orion and I agree to a frig fight in Alenia. Blues are setup on the Vaere gate our scouts have already reported their fleet composition and we know there is a Imicus with them so thats gonna be primary if it's at 0. I have all good ships and 3 rifters in fleet 2 of our rifters are MWD fit so they get anti-sniper duty meaning they're to hold back warp in at 20 kill any sniper fits then come on down to 0. I instruct the AB fit Rifter to point his nose at a celestial and burn away from fight as soon as he's targeted since we know he's going to be primary :-).
We warp in and execute the plan. The Imicus is at 0 so he's primaried and gone an instant. Then it's a Tristan and then an incursus then it's just working our way through. I manage to not screw up too badly on the target calling and eventually we polish off the blue fleet by blowing Orion's punisher out from under him. GF's are exchanged and round 2 agreed too so Orion can try to get his revenge.
Round 2 we go to Meroles. This time we get set up on a planet and wait for Blues same basic strategy other than this time we know a blue who likes to snipe is in their fleet so our snipers setup off grid and aligned to be able to come in once blues are on the field.
Then blues warp in and it's on. My execution isn't too sloppy although I do get some good feedback afterwards on how to more effectively call targets. We take out their Rifters and foofoo ships (Gallente crap) Our anti-snipers take out Battlecannon's Kestrel then come on down to help in the scrum. Once again we kill kill kill until we get down to Orion and ensure he doesn't get away ;) another victory. Orion declines a 3rd round while he goes off to see what went wrong.
Spend some bull****ting after that adjust some market prices and head off to bed.
Was quite fun and fairly successful first FC attempt. Luckily while I don't like leading I can fake it pretty well and it helps to have experienced FC's on hand to help cover all the crap I kept forgetting.
I don't quite have the room for Friday nights report left so I'll finish that after my posting timer finishes cycling.

After working Friday and spending some quality time with the wife and kids I get on late to the aftermath of one fleet battle. Blue's are wanting to go again and one of their new guys is FC once again I'm tossed into the fire and elected FC Ivan(the blue FC) and I get into comms and work out the details of the engagement our fleets are only 5 pilots each so we agree to a frig brawl.
We form up and head over to Meroles, We're moving a little faster than blues so we set up on planet 5 and wait for them. Finally a Blue punisher warps in at 9k then a few seconds later the rest of the blue fleet comes in behind him about 12 klikcs. Damn it I don't want to primary a punisher.
Oh well I'm using basically the same strat that was successful on thursday. No snipers so our MWD Rifter is recalled to the scrum and we start in on the punisher then the rest of the blue fleet gets into range so I switch primaries to one of their rifter that was now in range It's the blue FC and I feel a little bad about primarying him so early but it's hard to keep to the no snipe FC thing when you only got 5 potential targets and he's in a rifter. Pop him the it's on to a merlin. By this point our fleets gotten spread out and I find myself on one merlin far from the rest of the fleet.
I tell them to finish off the other Merlin. The blues had primaried Del so I tell him to get out if he can, he executes a GTFO maneuver. Things are pretty even at this point the remaining blues have primaried me but my tanks pretty beef so I'm not too worried by now Del's got enough shield to come back in the helps me polish off Fryer Donk's Merlin. One of the blues manages to escape and the Punisher that had managed a GTFO maneuver earlier is back on field we scram him and polish him off.
Another fun fight GF are given. and we loot and scoot. Blue's don't have enough together to put together a credible fleet so the Blue FC (Ivan) challenges me to a 1v1. What the heck I'm just ship spinning anyway so I say yes. We meet up in alentene me in a armor tank rifter him in a AC punisher.
I start at a 7500 orbit thinking maybe he's got lazers (hey some people fly them with them.) nope he's AC fit and has an epic tank so I tighten my orbit to 500 to try and maximize my traversal this works for a bit until he uses some manual flight to counter act that. We hammer at each other for a while but his tank isn't going down and I'm struggling too much to keep my armor repped. This is going to be a losing battle for me so I execute a GTFO maneuver and save my ship.
The battle showcases a couple strengths and weeknesses of the two frigs. The Punisher is extremely hard to kill but really can't make anything faster like a rifter stick around to die. However it's tank is strong enough (particularly if the pilot forgoes a prop mod for a booster) that the Rifter is going to have a hard time breaking the tank before being bled to death. But then the rifter advantage comes in that it can easily escape destruction by running away :)
It was a fun fight even if neither of us emerged victorious Ivan's a good pilot and will make a good addition to RVB and hopefully another FC on their side will make getting fights in my TZ easier ;)
I have to say it is amazing the changes in my performance in the short amount of time I've been flying with RVB a little a month and I'm already FCing and I'm able to engage in combat and have time to pay attention to stuff like actual tactics which is a huge change over my original select orbit turn on guns and cross fingers ;-)
This is the sort of thing I've been talking about in all these threads. I'm not posting these updates to brag but rather to give a taste to people of what RVB has to offer. There is nothing particularly special about me or my abilities I just have a willingness to go out and lose ships.
Speaking of which. I'm losing far fewer lately which is another measure of my continued improvement.
So come on down we needz moar targets.

We'd like to stay in the same corp, and I logged onto RvB late last night- they said Blue was recruiting, but Red might be better since we logged late (0700 eve time, 3AM EST).

Daily bumpity
So to try and keep the momentum going here a quick battle report for last night.
Started off looking to be a slow night a fleet was disbanding as I got on so joined up the command channel and started cutting up with the other red leadership. Then Slave Maker says that he's got a couple 3rd party war deckers on undock who just attacked his badger. Luckily for him it was his battle badger from the Industrial FFA a couple weeks ago so he was able to dock up. One of our frigates on undock has pointed it and I'm jumping in my Brutix and undocking Slave's back out in his Hype and Del's got his Drake but he doesn't get in range. Slave gets a point on the Hurricane and I"m burning too it as fast as my Brutix will go the other Decker boogies away in his brutix and Slave and I waste the Hurricane. So much for the Orphanage being a somewhat competent alliance.
I'd started a fleet while trying to coordinate this and I guess a lot of Red were hungry for action since it started filling up pretty much instantly. We decide that since we have a fleet we'll go mess with Blue's at their HQ and see if we can scare up some trouble. Hop into frigs and cruiers and off to Allentene. We whack a kestrel a drake and a couple Ruptures until a Blue FC asks for some frig Fleet action.
Ok so back to base hop in a Punisher rally up then off to Alenia. Our FC jumps through only to discover they're on the other side of the gate. He burns back and jumps through.
Of course when I go to click on orbit I click on jump instead Blue's have already warped when I land so it's kick off the AB and burn back to the gate.
I jump through before blues drop cloak then they drop cloak a primary is called and I'm joining the fray. It was a rather quick slaughter with us holding the field and collecting the goodies including killing one poor blue who happened to leave his Rupture hanging off the gate. (Not a good idea to try and watch these things from anything but a newb ship since when the blood lust is up we're likely to jump a BS.
We repeat this two more times before it's finally past time to go to bed.
I do commend the blue Pilots who fought us. It takes some gumption and motivation to go into battle again and again after taking those types of beatings so I have high hopes for them once they figure out how to properly fit fleet ships and actually focus fire.
Blue's on the downslope atm and in need of motivated pilots to fill their ranks particularly those with FC experience or who want FC experience.
This is a great place to learn.
Several members of our fleet last night were the very same newbies I mentioned in earlier posts who we'd had to teach how to properly fit ships. They've been turned in a little over week from brittle little newblets to battle hardened veterans, Where before the enemy rapidly ripped through their paper tanks now they meet solid tungsten and adaptive nano plates.
Very fun night all in all over 31 kills giving me my 500th real kill.
Once again I if you want near instantaneous PVP while enjoying all the advantages of Hisec come on over and join up.
You won't find more pew pew anywhere else.

My experience in RvB:
I came into RvB two weeks ago, complete noob in pvp. I didnt know how to shoot my guns at anything but lifeless npc ships since then I have been a part of over 300 kills (lost over 30 ships) and learned a ridiculous amount of pertinent pvp information. The events team has done a great job putting events together like cruiser FFA where I get to shoot at anyone even my own corpies. There are great FC's to learn from and overall its been a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

My name is Major 7th and I endorse this fine organization.
For those players out there, new and old, who are interested in low(no) pressure, affordable and fun PvP with relatively minimal drama this is where you want to be.
Drop a couple mil and some cheap frigs, sign up, jump right in to action and watch the killmails start rolling in. Its as easy as that.
If the experience doesnt live up to your expectations you can just bail, no hard feelings, and you havent lost anything. No pressure, no burden of commitment. Pretty sweet.
Give it a shot. Its fun!

WOOT!
I'm primarily an industrialist after recognizing that I just wasn't playing enough to get really good at PvP. I looked around for an alliance that would let me industrial and sometimes PvP and came up empty.
Then I found RvB, made a quick alt, bought 10 T1/T1 frigs and gave it a try. WHAT A RIOT!
First time out was HQ defense, and my little frig was zooming around putting those 3 DPS hits on everything in site...until I died valiently. And got in another frig.
Bottom line is this is all the fun of PvP at a price and time committment anyone can do.
NO forever roams looking for a fight; just step outside :)
NO worrying about JCs and implants - no podding!
NO building up huge skills for huge ships - grab a T1 frig and let howl the puppies of war!
C'mon, the blood is nice and warm...

RvB is good for cheap instant action PvP. Sadly over time the enforcement of the original principle that the premise ought to be fun has deteriorated and now smacking and trolling often reigns supreme especially during US evenings/nights.
It's still a good place to join to pew pew, you just need to be able to mentally tune out a bunch of people. Personally I wish either side would just follow through and remove those who are time and time again troll and smack. |

Hmmm, I agree to a point. The smack can be a bit annoying/undignified at times but its a vocal minority... and its always the same small handful of individuals. The mass majority, I'd say 95%, simply throw up a GF in local win or lose and fly back to gear up for the next round. If 20 people are involved in a fight and just 2 of them jibba-jabba back n forth incesssantly afterwards in public it can give an inaccurate impression of the attitudes of the majority. Plus, if all else fails, there is always the mute button.

Bumpity bump.
Yesterday was birthday so I spent other thing and actually shooting in EVE rather than maintaining the my battle reports.
It was a busy week for me I've got a ton kills and done lots of fleet fights and even lead one short roam until it turned into a fleet fight that we were seriously outnumbered (gotta blue a chance after all)
I'm not going to a blow by blow this time since it all kind blurs together at this point.
I do however want to address few concerns that have been raised in the thread.
You do need a thick skin in RVB (like anywhere else in EVE).
I've said before this is not a gentleman's dueling society. It is a high sec war. People gank, blob and play station camping docking games and talk smack and Fair fights are generally limited to arranged engagements and by fair we mean similar numbers of pilots and types of ships . We do try to keep things more or less even with big encounters but this is mostly a matter of judgement and desire to keep the fights going (People who are constantly facing an overwhelming force tend to take their toys and go home meaning no fights for anyone) but this is generally up to the FC's which can anyone willing to step up and take the initiative. Unfortunately some folks do get it and sometimes it takes a little time to get them straightened out.
It goes with the territory people lose expensive stuff and go all emo. Whatever it's part of the game and why I keep telling people in these posts to follow EVE rule number 1 and only fly what you can afford to lose and too leave their expensive mission ships at home.
I want people coming over here with their eyes open. We want pilots who are going stick around for a few weeks or months who are going to hang around long enough to develop some skills (both player and character)rather than leaving on their first day after their mission CNR gets popped.
Be prepared when you come over to lose a lot of ships particularly if you don't have any pvp experience. Perhaps even if you do if you're one of those fail fit flyers that populate the Kills boards in low and nul sec.
Now while RVB is not a PVP school I can tell you this Assuming you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn you will improve. I'm evidence myself and I've seen such changes in others as a new nugget gets polished into a finely tuned killing machine.
I went from losing a ship every engagement some nights up to 10 ships in a single evening to my current status where I've killed over 100 ships in the last 7 days while only losing 2.
I've gotten good in small gang situations, and am starting to learn to FC. I still suck at solo but I'm starting to work on that. Now that I no longer get that nervousness when fighting real humans I can concentrate on actually flying and fighting.
As I've said before I'm not special I'm not all that smart I just fly a lot with good people and practice practice practice.
So come on over and join up. Join R-V-B channel in game for more info. Oh and feel free to convo me if you want any more info or advice.

I played around with R-V-B back when I had just started playing EVE, I just came back to the game a few days ago and am preparing an alt to throw back in, because this just sounds like it is even more fun now then it was back in december. Are there any guides to building an RVB alt, other than just train for rifters?

I've heard RvB can get expensive, especially if you have no pvp experience. If I wanted to join, would you recommend I drop out whenever I wanted to replenish isk, since I imagine mining might be suicidal...

It can definitely get pricey. At first because you'll be losing lots of ships while you learn and later because you'll be losing more expensive ships though less often because you want better performance (and better fits improve your chances for survival)
As to income sources that's up to you. We do have some folks who mission while in the corps and I'd just suggest to do your mission running a fair number of jumps away so it's less likely that an opposing team will find you (and I've heard RVB refered to as PVP for the lazy so 5+ jumps is probably sufficient (save for Dodixie too many folks going in and out of there for stuff) The only people who'd really know where you are would be the officers and they won't narc you out since you're making isk for the corp.
You can of course simply drop corp do your mission thing then re-ap as well.

Oh hai guise!
Well erm, few things happened since I posted about that 2.2B macharial kill!
Made enough iskies from lewts that I fitted a Raven, at which point I decided I would never need to do L4s again so I brought my faction fit CNR down to play :)
While that all went on i were training for a stealth bomber, and after two weeks of training I hopped in it for the first time today... AND GUESS WHAT? ;)
Yep, got killed within an hour of undocking it! And after spending 30M fitting it, 30M fitting a new one and refitting a drake the day before I had to beg in corp chat for the isk to buy the rigs for the new manticore xD
So basically, I went from having 150M+ isk from loots to oweing 5M isk after a nasty string of losses! But hey ho, all part of the learning curve, and to be quite honest I would rather had lost that bomber here than in nullsec where my pod would of probably been popped...
Oh and I was also made a team commander for red fed due to my contributions to the corp =D
So yeah, great fun, great laughs, great experience and for the second time in RVB I am totally skint...
But I still have that faction fit CNR to play with blues... Just you wait ;)

BATTLE REPORT
(sorry for the bugged KB... )
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=6980404
This shows the sheer numbers fielded at the weekend that you to can expect to see if you joined :)
But from what I understand, reds had a few wins, and then we took the fight to blue hq where they held the field due to their reshipping
Then we went for a little skirmish at middleground, blues brought a sniper fleet and we brought... Lots of cruisers?
Lool
Anyway The fight kind of failed and reds warped off, but we did manage to catch a few blues going back home, including this rather yummy kill :)
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=6980816
And guess who got the loot? ;)
So yeah, from being 5M in debt after two manticores being lost in as many hours...
I went to grabbing 30Ms worth loot from the blues and snatching a CN BCU and selling that on for a tidy sum!
And that my friends, is how fast paced this great little high sec war is :)

Bumpity bump bump bump.
Ok pretty decent night last night. Blue's were camping Reds undock when I got online so I joined fleet hopped out in my trusty Vexor rapidly turned into a pile of space junk managed to get one Myrm kill so a fair trade.
They come back a few minutes later with a BC BS gang so I take my shinny new mega out sadly the manage to deagress their BS's before we could pop them so my initial blooding of the Mega as limited to whoring onto a punisher kill.
Then blues had had enough and their fleet peters out. We spend an hour or so just spinning ships and talking crap then finally blues are ready to do a little fleet action 9 on 9 after we give them one of our pilots to even things up.
The first fight was pretty traditional us Reds in our usual supertanked Punisher/merlin fleet and Blues in a mixed hull fleet the fight ended what has become a fairly traditional fashion with Reds holding the field with 2 losses while decimating the blue fleet ;-)
The second fight was kind of interesting blues brought out a fleet of mostly Tristans we were in our traditional fleet of heavy tanked punishers and Merlins. It was an interesting tactic they were also using small RR drones. Blue's faired much better in this fight taking out 4 of us to the 5 of theirs we killed Reds still held the field but it was a much closers fight.
The final fight I was involved in for the night we Red's decided to try something different. Forgoing our normal heavy tanked punisher merlin force we instead all fitted identical Rifters (well all save one who just had to be an individual) we engaged and chaos ensued. It was a blast very close contest resulting in my second ship loss for the night the fight ended up down to only 2 red pilots surviving once the blue menace had been vanquished.
This is what RVB is all about getting good fights where all the parties have fun win or lose. If you find that appealing come on down and join the fun.

Speaking as the pilot who was loaned to blue for a couple fights, I can say with confidence that both sides are great to fly with. For the second fight Skex described, I decided to hero for Blue and continued the fight against the last 3 punishers in my own punisher, was a great fight had by all (By the by, sorry I kited yer Kessie in my mwd Puni, Columbus ). All in all, a great set of fleets and some great fights.

I've been on a semi-break from EVE for about 6 months now, and recently started to play again. After carebearing it up in Empire for a while, thickening up ye olde wallet, I started looking into some corps to give PVP a shot again. I came across the RVB post and decided to join up to see if it was what people were claiming it to be.
After 3 days in the Red Federation, I joined a fleet of frigates provoking the Blue Republic into a fight, and they gave us one... 13 kills later I called it quits for the night, I had only been on for about 3 hours. I'm gonna stick around for a bit! ______________________ CCP: Inspired by Iceland <3 WTB: some Dev love for my sig, 'cause it's quite boring now :( |

Bumptity bump bump bump
So I was home "sick" from work yesterday after spending the 1st half of the day in bed and a couple hours on various business I logged in to what was probably the biggest fleet I've seen in RVB yet. 31 pilots in a red cruiser/frig blob of doom. The FC advised new pilots to grab frigs and gather up.
Well I decided to do something different since he'd requested tackling frigates an this was a mixed hull fleet I pulled out this Tristan I'd been tweaking. I've generally had less than stellar luck with these things in the past but those were in frig brawls where you high dps low tank ships tend to be priority. In a larger fleet like this there should be plenty of more juicy targets than I for people to primary so I figured what the hell.
After some cat and mouse a fleet fight is arranged on the Merolles gate in Tourier.
We're set up on the Merolles side of the gate when the scouts report that the blue fleet on the other side of the gate the order is given to recall drones and converge on gate soon as the drones are all out of overview and back in peoples dronebays the order is given to jump and hold cloak.
A primary is called and the attack order given.
I'm not used to fighting with so many enemies on the field on the night shift 15 or so ships a side is a pretty heavy fleet so it takes me a minute to sort threw the wall of red to find the primary while searching I get tackle on the secondary then I finally manage to get the primary targeted and start getting into the groove.
It was a lot of fun flitting around in something that's a tad nimble. Would probably just use a rifter if I did it again since even with a MWD a plated trimarked tristan isn't the most fleet of foot ship in the universe. But it was a hell of a lot faster than the cruisers and Battlecruisers I was fighting.
It was a very intense fight I got aggro at one point and had to burn away from the action but was able to come back in a hurry. In the end I managed to aid in dispatching a Domi 2 Canes a harbinger a myrmadon a drake a stabber and a final warp in tackle on a snipe fit Rupture that didn't manage to evac from the field in time.
Very fun fight makes me jealous of the day guys who have a lot more numbers than the night crew atm.
At this point I had to log for a while to do family stuff as I understand it they got some more epic fights during my downtime.
Unfortunately things have slowed down on the late US TZ so I log into pretty much nothing going on. Del gets on about the same time but has to go manage his industrial empire for a bit. So I put up a fleet invite and start trying to scare something up.
After a little bit I've put together a small fleet and a blue FC has scared up 7 of his own. About the time I'm getting folks rallied Del comes back and takes over the fleet. I don't mind I prefer being lazy anyway ;-)
We move to Merolles and about the time we're ready to roll blue comes back that they have 8 now. Well the way things have been going we decide to spot them the extra guy (supposedly 3 of the 8 are newbs) rather than wait around for an 8th.
In we go we end up a good 30 klicks from each other with our sniper landing right on top of their fleet. Luckily he gets out and we start a short staring contest.
Finally a blue Merlin gets into range. Now normally we'd want something a little less tanked for primary but better a hard target than no target.
Quite the fun fight which ended with 3 reds dead to the 6 blue wrecks. I managed to execute one of my signature GTFO maneuvers at 18% structure. I don't mind losing ships but it's always satisfying to deny the blues a juicy killmail :)
After that fight all the blue FC's draw GF/wife aggro and have to log. This spells the end pretty much to operations at this point other than a short roam over to Blue HQ only to find that they have no one to organize their fight.
damn character limit (more incoming in 5.)

Bump continued
Ok after the events documented above combat mostly ends for me save for losing one Incursus on a gate when I got jumped by a small blue blob. Of course they still don't have anyone willing to do arranged fights or able to defend their HQ but what can you do?
Well this is what I can do. Come here and recruit.
Right now Blue Republic needs hard charging motivated leaders in the US prime time particularly more on the west coast time frame.
This is player driven emergent gameplay at it's best in a place where your contributions can have a lasting effect.
All we need to keep this going is more warm bodies so bring your alt bring your main shed those carebear tears and grow fangs. All we want to do is fight and have fun. Low drama low commitment PVP at it's best.

Well you can still roam without it.
You can still be in fleet without it, just make sure you have speakers plugged in so you can hear the FC.
If you can't hear the FC, then you are really going to struggle to keep up as per normal eve pvp with fleets.

Like Twigg said when soloing it doesn't really matter. For fleet stuff it's really important to at least be able to hear eve voice. Speaking is less important but still desirable so you can do things like "break break got a cane pointed just off undock please help" etc.
RVB is PVP for the lazy and we don't want to have to type or read when we don't have too ;-)
If your sound card is bad you might consider a usb headset those will have their own built in sound card and can be gotten pretty cheaply.

GENERAL UPDATE =D
Ermm well nothing major going on recently... But ill run it down :)
Yesterday us reds set up tents on blue hq, a while later a small blue BS fleet undocks and we decide to have a pop :)
Five minutes later we have killed a domi and a geddon, and lost a cruiser!
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=7018262
Guess who got the loot again ;)
So yeah, was only fair to help out the guy who lost his thorax so I sent over 16M to cover his losses, as im nice like that :P
After that little skirish blues werent to up for fighting, so we purpled up and sent a 50 man gang into lowsec in the hope of grabbing some nice kms. Alas everyone ran for the hills once we showed up and we got one imicus at some point xD
But otherwise thats about it, looking forward to tonight being first night of the weekend, should get some lovely fights :)

Not much to report at the moment things are pretty slow in my timezone so I'm having to work really hard for every kill I get.
Blue's been set back on it's heals pretty badly with Orion's departure to deal with things more important than EVE and Red's pure brutal competence.
But to give one an idea of what RVB is like we in Red Command were discussing last night what to do to get Blue back up on it's feet.
The current plan is to move some pilots and FC's over to Blue Rep to help train some of their pilots and FC's.
This is the sort of place that RVB is we want fights lots of them and like it when they are challenging enough that we actually lose a some of them.
So bring isk and testicular fortitude on down, join a team and get down with some destruction.

Joining R v B is the best (and most fun) thing I've done in Eve. I'd thoroughly recommend joining to anyone; it's a fantastic place to learn a bit of pvp without the danger of being podded (most of the time anyway!). Also, a huge thankyou to the chaps that organise it, it's really appreciated by the rest of us.

RVB is a great place to learn how to pvp. I was involved in some of the most fun fleet fights i have ever been involved in. What started off with a mostly cruiser fight and ended with a mostly battleship and battlecruiser fight. It was truely exciting to part of such a big fleet. In two hours I lost 2 Cruisers but was involved in 2 Battlecruiser kills 6 Cruiser kills 1 Destroyer and 1 Frigate kill. I would highly recommend RVB if you want to learn how to pvp. Off to setup some more cruisers to take in to battle. Good hunting Azriel.

Pheww lots happened today, so was well worth updating!
Well we start from a few days ago when we were wardecced by a corporation, and they're PVP experience can be summed up in one word: lol
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=7125361
Fast forward to today and....
We go straight into a large fleet fight, about 40 pilots in total going head to head on a gate in alenia!
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=7132561
I lost my first BS in PVP, but the fight was rather epic with reds holding the field!
After that we got intel of a thrid party and our fleet chased him through several systems untill he met up with his buddy:
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=7133528
We decided to chase them back to their home system another two jumps away, where RVB spectated a rather one sided FW fight. We snagged the loot and headed back to hq.
On the way back our FC Lonewolf announced it was his birthday, so he was showered in gifts including the acculated junk of three months worth of RVB that was gathering dust in my hangar xD
After that fleet disbanded, and I spun my ship in station untill intel came in of a Hurricane one jump out. So off I trot to see whats up.
Once I arrived he was sitting 10K off, I stayed cloaked as I was sure i was getting some reinforcements to help me out. Alas they never came, I decloaked and the cane warped off. I stayed on the gate when the cane came back. So again I ask for help as he starts agressing. I burn away from gate to scram him when I realise im being neuted, pointed and webbed. No worry as help was coming? Wrong.
A Myrm and a rifter joins in on the bashing, keeping my poor ship neuted, webbed and scrammed I was dead before help arrived.
I keep and ear out in fleet as I here a red BS and BC are heading in to clear up, a bit late but off to kill the baddies nonetheless. Alas this couldn't have been more wrong. We quickly discover that cane and the myrm have a stupidly huge buffer fit with the effects of the HG slaves and they manage to finish off the BS, however we manage to finish off the cane before they get out.
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=7133980 http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=7133988 http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=7133997
All in all a very active day. Filled with obvious ups and downs, with a few surprises inbetween. This is why RvB is great in the way it changes daily and provides many lessons for you to learn from. Before now I hadn't lost as much as I lost today, but it was worth it for the lessons learnt.

No matter how many times I tell people that this isn't some sort of Gentlemans dueling society we still get these idiots who cry about getting ganked.
RVB is about fighting and killing and losing ships not fair fights. Now we do generally have the closest things your going to find to a fair fight in EVE when it comes to our arranged battles and the fact that we honor 1v1s but you can not undock your solo frig and not take precautions against getting ganked.
Now we need pilots. Blue especially needs qualified pilots in the US playtime. EU is a bit different I think there are actually more active pilots in blue during that playtime but Red still kicks their backsides in so they probably still need help.
Of course people are looking to gank you. It is EVE after all. Wot you think the FW folks aren't looking to gank you given half the chance? Or maybe the low sec pirates only want honorable fights? Wormholers? Null sec defense fleets? High sec suicidegankbears?
You don't cry about getting ganked you gank em back.
Now for a little battle report
"So Delelia manages to scare up a fleet tonight and we do one engagement in Meroles normal affair nothing of note.
We agree to a second fight in Vaere so I gather up my fleet and head over to a deep safe I have. Anyway we're sitting there and I tell Delelia to pick a planet since we picked the first one we see them enter local then a couple minutes later the overview goes red.
I'm "oh Pirmary is" I don't even remember who it was that we took out first. Then the Harpy registers and I call for it's doom. then on to the next one. I totally missed the Crow until after the fight is done (my anti-sniper guys did it in). After we demolish blues (ok they did kill four of us to the 7 we killed so it wasn't completely lopsided) I'm talking to Del in command turns out they must have gotten this safe when I flew with blues a couple weeks ago. (note to self burn safes once the Opposing teams sees them) and they were as surprised to see us there as we were them.
Then on the way back one of my guys calls a blue thrasher on the alenia gate. I warp down and decide wth another killmail before going to bed. Then Blues start bringing in their gank fleet.
I manage to pop the thrasher but don't last quite long enough to deagress before my punisher pops to the combined fire of their Caracal and Navy slicer was a close thing though another second and I'd have gotten away.
Was a nice little trap Delelia set for us on the way out (note to self do not engage bait thrasher when laden down with loots from the last fight)
Was some of the best fun I've had in RVB in a while and reminds me of why I stick around."
This is the sort of thing RVB is about and the kind of pilots we need are the ones who experience that sort of fight and instead of whining about ship losses laugh and fit another ship to go out again.

This is spot on!
I have been with these guys three weeks now (though my last two weeks have been a little off due to my wife coming home with our baby... now I have to pretend to be working!)
The only time I had seen an FC 'arrange' a fight was when the we struggled to get the two opposing gangs together. Half at a time would warp in to the whole host of opposition and then warp out, after a few times we agreed to just meet at a moon.... and then it was a whole lot of fun!
I am having a whale of a time there, my only gripe is that I can not play more than I am 8O(

Bumpity bump bump bump.
As always we're still looking for more pilots.
Blues are still a light in the US TZ other TZ are more or less even.
Bring isk and a good attitude and a willingness to lose ships and laugh about it.
Before joining get isk move gear to HQ of relevant corp Tourier III republic fleet for Red, Duvolle Labs, top station Alentene. Before apping get the fastest ship you can fly with a MWD and make a few insta undocks (we currently have a butthurt ex-member who likes to nano about in fast long range ships to pop frigs and pods so stay sharp) at various distances from your base station. For extra thoroughness repeat this process on the enemy HQ as well as make at least 1 insta on various other stations. Also wise to make on grid tacts on the local gates connecting Alentene and Tourier so you can scout a gate prior to warping to it.
I also recomend making a few tacticals above/below and around the HQ stations. Although all but the HQ insta's can wait until after you've joined if you are particularly impatient to get to killing/dying.
If you have FC experience or hell just gutsy feel free to try to form fleets if none are already up. Get out be active and have fun.
Activity in RVB is entirely player generated and our activity levels are directly tied to how active the various members are.
Keep a good attitude remember don't fly what you can't afford to lose, because anything you dock will eventually get blown up.
Personally I consider a ship dead the second I hit the undock button and any that return to station are a bonus. Keep that attitude and you will do well.
As far as suggested skills before joining I'd recommend a what ever racial frigate you prefer to 4 T2 guns of what ever flavor you prefer then train small autocannon specialization because you're going to find that they just rule the roost. I'd also suggest training either Amarr or Caldari frigate to at least 3 (preferably 4 or 5) depending on your preference for tank types (and if you use missiles) Shield tankers have the advantage of generally being cheaper but your skills and preferences will dictate.
Most importantly train Jury rigging to 3 plus what ever rig types your likely to use for tanking, armor or shield rigging.
Rifters are nice for those times when you want to solo roam but they tend to get primaried in fleet fights and I only recommend them to more experienced pilots in fleets.
Our combat style is slightly different than what is found in most of EVE we tend to have lots of close in brawls at 0 and as such heavy tanks are almost a requirement (range fits are acceptable if you are skilled at flying them) also I recommend tanking especially heavily when you start out since new guys tend to get primaried a lot and while heavy tanks may not save your ship they will make you a PITA to the enemy fleet and it will shorten the length of time you remain as a preferred primary target.
As far as how much it will cost you I suggest 6-10 million per T1 frigate That can be lowed a tad by fitting T1 modules but I firmly suggest spending the isk on the rigs. Your isk loss per death will be higher but you'll find that not only will you last longer in fights (and get on more juicy kM's) you'll also lose fewer ships and it's generally more fun not to die 10 seconds into a fight.
I know a lot of people claim this is PVP on the the cheap but I personally dislike that claim. It's only cheap relative to Null and some types of Low sec PVP. I mean don't get me wrong you can fly cheap unrigged T1 fitted but don't expect to do much if you do.
Further there is no built in income source no ratting no anomalies no ABC ores to mine. It's definitely useful to have some form of passive income outside RVB to finance your fun.
Come in with your eyes open. RVB is a hell of a lot of fun but only if you have the right attitude.

Battle Report. Alenia System. 7.21.2010
Two large Red and Blue fleets are tracking each other, looking for the right place to fight for about an hour. Fleet sizes grow to 30 per team during the setup and scouting. Reds kill some of the Blue sniper fleet at safe spots in Tourier, and when setting up for the fight.
The battle really gets going on the Tourier gate in Alenia - where a very large pile of ships were destroyed. Roughly: 1 Battleship, 13 Battlecruisers, 25 Cruisers, 11 Destroyers, and 52 frigates. 1.5 billion isk in destruction.
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=7184663
Pilots that lost ships came back as quickly as possible to hold the field, RVB won today with a fantastic, long fight, with wrecks as far as the eye could see.

How I wish I didn't have a job and could make the fight like the one Helios was talking about. A buddy of mine called me at work to tell me about the damned thing
As for my playtime we had several good frig brawls blues numbers in that playtime are still on the light side so several of us including the primary red fc for that time zone ended up fleeting with the few active blues and took on our red brethren.
Great fights all three that I was involved in bunch of kill mails and 2 asplody punishers for me. Very even fights for the most part, 2 of the three resulting in only a couple survivors.
Great times Join R-V-B channel for more info.

Bumpity Battlereport
New blood and alternate options
Was off today to take care of some business so managed to get online for a bit. When I logged Reds were engaging a blue force led by a new go FC who's come in hard charging and ready to take names.
Anyway I missed that engagement then the FC of the Red fleet had to log and since no one else was interested in taking the fleet I ended up FC.
I contacted the new blue FC to see what kind of fight he wanted but he was being cagey so I sent out a couple scouts and told everyone to get into frigs and cruisers and form up at a safe.
Like I said this new FC is real go getter while I'm still forming up the fleet he jumps the Blues into tourier. They warp around a bit and I finally get eyes on his fleet hai all cruisers save for 2 assault frigs so I tell my guys to reship into cruisers if they could. Head back out to safe and form back up.
While we're gathering forces and trying to work out how to catch them the blue fleet gets a scan on us and warps in on us. Unfortunately we've managed to get spread out over about 100km so I call the withdrawal.
We regroup at another safe and this time I ball up the fleet figuring if we can't get a warp in on them we'll catch em when they come to us. Sure enough in come the blues. So I start calling primaries. Pretty good fight the details blur a bit save that at the end we pummel them pretty badly evening up forcing the Blue fleet from the field then chase run them out of the system catching a final straggler on the tourier/alenia gate.
Unfortunately I had to log after that so I missed the rest of the fun. Looking at the battle report it appears that they came back again and quite a bit of fighting took place in Tourier which was rather unusual.
Looks like he gave the reds quite a bit of fun through out the game. This new FC Mathkrraa is exactly the kind of pilot RVB needs someone with gumption and a willingness to step up and fight and demonstrates what makes RVB work. Mathkrraa isn't a team leader and has only been a member for a couple days yet is already starting to leave his mark.
For the evenings festivities we're still having some issues getting numbers balanced so I recently stuck an alt into blue federation to help out during slower times. I had planned on playing Skex but thanks to being off I was able to get some killmail whoring down on Skex during the day so I went ahead and logged in my alt after determining that there was the usual shortage of pilots on the blue side.
To try and break the rut we've been struggling through lately we mix up the fleets a bit I log into my Blue pilot and take a couple red pilots over with me. We send a couple blues over to the red fleet and go at it. The first engagement started a little rocky with a miscomm resulting in the Red/blue fleet sitting on planet 6 in alenia while my Blue/red fleet was sitting on Planet 6 in meroles.
So I take my fleet over to Alenia and warp in on the Red/blue fleet. good even fight with me managing to pull out a win even with my less than spectacular FC skills
Round 2 we head to Meroles this time then meet on the planet. the second round didn't go quite so well for us. After killing a couple of the enemy ships my fleet is down by half and we're seriously outnumbered so I call the withdrawal.
Was much fun. My new toon who I'd played with a little last night is currently sitting with 15 kills to 3 deaths. So a 5/1 KD ratio on a fresh PVP toon.
That's just a couple of examples of the sorts of things we do in RVB. The first fight documented was very random and wondering. While the second and third were arranged fights.
Spent a fair amount of FCing today a fair level of success and at least I didn't forget to squad warp for a change.
Those reports represent but a few hours of activity in RVB.

Blue needs more active pilots in the US playtime particularly on PST.
EU TZ has plenty of activity so it doesn't really matter which corp unless your playtime bleeds into the US playtime in which case go blue.

Lets send this to the top, We always need more pilots the more we have the more constant the action.
Right now blue needs pilots the most particularly in the US west coast prime time.
If you want good near instant action PVP RVB is hard to beat. It's a great place to try out PVP without worrying about standings or security status. While still in high sec with all the benefits that entails including easy access to markets to reduce time spent on logistics.
RVB is not a PVP school but you will learn. Bring isk and a willingness to lose ships and shoot people.

Tonight was a good night.
We've been having issues with blue participation in my timezone so we've had to get creative to get fights going. Tonight we gathered up the handful of active blues tossed a Red FC and a couple pilots to them then I gathered the remaining red fleet and we went at it.
Just arranged fights this time 3 frig fights 2 cruisers, We managed to get the balance pretty good only one fight was a blow out the others splitting pretty evenly with each team getting 2 of the victories (Well one got 3 with the blow out) still much better than we'd been having.
16 kills 4 lost ships for myself, not the best K/D ratio but that's the way things tend to work when the fights are well balanced.
That's the way it tends to work around here we do what we have to do to keep the fights going.
So once again if you want fight and lots of fights you'll be hard pressed to find better than RVB.

i am since 4 months in RvB and have allready over 1000 kills. I am very happy to be a part of this project and meeting so many friendly guys wanting to pvp. Cheap loses, lots of kills - thats the moto. I have no alts, no other accounts but no problems with ISK at all as this pvp is really cheap even with riged ships. I would eveyone suggest to join RvB if u want to learn pvp and have fun.

Bumpity battle report
Ok gonna try to keep this short I have actual work to do.
Blue's got some new go getters who are undocking in my playtime so we managed to get some good fights going. Three arranged fights 2 cruiser/frig and 1 dessy/frig fight. The cruiser fights split evenly with Blues womping us on one and use devastating them on the other. I went down pretty quick on the first cruiser round so don't have much to report on it other than it was pretty much a route.
The second cruiser fight I decided to forgo my usual Vexor and took out a bait thorax instead. With small guns and dual 1600mm plates it's got pretty pathetic dps but it's tank is like a Battlecruiser. The blues took the bait and spent the majority of the fight trying to wear it down (We had a couple Remote reps on it for good measure) finally ended up warping out when the fight was pretty much done and I was starting to bleed into structure much to the Blue fleets chagrin.
I was later informed by one of the Blues that they've decided to primary me until I stop flying Bait ships. Seems kind of counter intuitive to me. but hey what ever makes it easy for me to decide how best to fit.(Pro-tip: the way to get someone to stop flying bait it to stop taking it.)
They said they wanted to kill me first so I wouldn't be getting any kills. I just told them that I would ungroup my guns and take pot shots at everyone
The final fight was a frig dessie fight and I decided that I'd be different and try out a Thrasher. I usually fly tanky short ranged stuff at 0 so this was different for me. It worked out pretty well for us we had more pilots so we'd given them an extra dessie (4 to our 3) but that wasn't enough to save the day for them and Red held the field.
Was good times and I'd like to extend my thanks to the Blues who stepped up an brought the fight.
Now we just need a bunch more just like them.
If you've thought about trying PVP but were discouraged by the various drawbacks of other avenues, RVB is the place for you. You'll be flying against other people who want to fight who aren't generally going to get all butt hurt over losing a ship. It won't be poor defenseless miners and industrialists but ship that fit actual weaponry who are more than willing to convert your pretty internet spaceships into salvage.
And you can do all this with all the advantages of High Sec easy logistics with convenient access to major market hubs (4 jumps from Dodixie and 15 from Jita plus pretty decent local markets and the minor trade hub of Alentene) , without cratering your sec status or crushing your faction standings.
And it's not just for the PVP neophytes either. Many of our members are former null and low sec vets or alts of low and null sec pilots wanting a break from the gate camps and fruitless roams.
We engage in a variety of Types of PVP from solo and 1v1's to arranged fleet fights to roaming random fleet battles and various special events.
We do free for alls, and tournaments, we're in the process of setting up some multi-reship frig brawls where pilots will fit out 10 T1 fit non-rigged T1 frigs devide into teams then go at it at a planet reshipping until they've run out of reships and only one team remains on the field.
There are the occasional Null sec roams and we've almost always have 3rd party war targets who want to play.

Edited by: Skex Relbore on 06/08/2010 16:10:40 Bumpity battle report
Ok so last night started out looking kind of slow just BSing in the command channels with the other team leaders. We even briefly thought about putting together a purple command fleet and hunting down the other Reds and Blues who were roaming about.
Then someon caught a Blue Ishtar on the Alentene gate in Merolles.
Blues scramble we scramble, there was already a red fleet out roaming so the all the red Team leaders joined it. What started out as a Ishtar versus a few frigs and dessies rapidly escalated into a multi battle cruiser brawl. I lost a Thorax but managed to ***** onto a few km's including the Ishtar.
After that fight things settled down a little Blues decided to have a BC FFA and eventually we put together a frigate roam.
When the Blue FFA ended we found them and went after the survivors with our frig fleet. This started as a bunch of frigs engaging a Blue Myrm and Thorax but it rapidly escalated to multi BC's. After getting out and back once in my Tristan it finally popped.
Since the only ship I had in Alentene was a Domi and I didn't want to go for that level of overkill I headed back to Tourier to pick up the Myrm that had gotten moved from Alentene during the earlier fight. I get into system and warp to a safe not wanting to spook the blues too much.
Then reports come in that the Blue's have undocked a Geddon and a Navy Mega. Morphe tells me to grab my domi so I head over to pick it up. As I'm still in warp the mega melts (turns out a hull tank on a mega isn't that great after all). By the time I get the Domi out it's overkill again so I swap it back out missing on many juicy kill mails .
I do make it back on the field in time to help polish off a few more targets. All told I was involved in 10 kills the smallest of which was a Thrasher. Fun night despite missing the Navy Mega kill.
This is just a sampling of the sorts of things that go on in RVB. We also have a fair amount of solo action as well as various types of arranged fights including matched fleets, free for alls, and we'll be trying some T1 fit meta 0 non-rigged frig brawls where we'll prepare 10 frigs in advance break into evenly matched teams pick a spot then go merrily at each others throats until a couple hundred ships are destroyed.
One word of warning. Although RVB itself has rules against podding, 3rd party war targets are not under any such limitation and currently we have butthurt former member who's so ****y about being kicked out for being a feminine Hygiene device that he's taken to camping our undock with several alts then warping in faction cruisers battleships and other nano.... well you know the rest of that, popping anything that can't actually hurt him and will pop in a couple shots then run back to his hidyhole until the next time he can catch someone with their guard down.
As such it is highly recommended to A, Move your medical clone into the area, B, ensure you have several good insta undocks out of the various stations in the area and C,DO NOT HANG AROUND ON HQ grids in lightly tanked frigs, dessies and cruisers.
Also don't hang around at safespots thinking they are actually safe since they aren't thanks to these nifty little things called Combat Probes.
Stay aligned, play smart and enjoy the smack.

RvB offers something for everyone who loves pew pew. With one constant war between the two corps there's always a fight for you. We get a hell of alot of war decs by other corps aswell. Funnily enough alot of them war dec us and think we know nothing about pvp. Very strange seen as we have more active wars at one time than there corp has ever had. Also both corps get together from time to time and head out for lols. It's alot of fun, with some great fc's if your into fleet stuff. Or if you like solo or small gang thats there for you as well. You'll never be forced to do something you don't want to do and if your only on once in a while it's fine. So if your tired of sitting on a gate for hours or being made to get up at silly oclock, or what else you don't like, then give RvB a try.

I'm not sure if there are enough words in the english language to describe the rvb frig brawl which occured in Channace today.
14 pilots in completly tech1 ships with no rigs and tech1 ammo split into two groups one lead by morphe and the other lead by del. Each pilot was allowed 10 ships when everyone was ready fcs warped the opposing fleets to a planet and went to battle. about 3hrs and 150 + ships destroyed (i've never seen so many wrecks) later morphes team with 3 pilots able to field ships compared to dels team with 1 pilot able to field ships were declared the winner.
Though I think rvb will be the real winner. I had a personal tally of 34 kills whilst lossing 6 out of my 10 ships. I can't believe I actually made it to the end of the fight. Its been the most successful day ive had in rvb. Well done to skex for arranging the fight, well done to those involved for the good fights.
What more can I say but join rvb and get inolved in some fun pvp action. Good hunting!

Actually we declared it a draw since the remaining ships on Morphe's team couldn't catch the kestrel but the Kestrel couldn't kill them and it was already stupid late.
It was however a win for RVB since we got a ton of fun fighting done. Think I bagged like 43 killmails and lost 10 cheap ships that combined cost less than my regular fleet frigates.
Linkified battle report
So there you have it more fun in RVB.
Bring isk and a willingness to get blown up and join the fun.

People finance through a range of options as wide as the game allows. People trade mission manufacture do PI, scam sell GTC's farm wormholes etc.
As far as missioning it's generally recommended to either drop corp or mission somewhere off the beaten path to earn your isk so no one is tempted to come gank your fancy mission ship.
It's also recommended to keep a low profile about it. We do have 3rd party wars and those 3rd parties have spies and will happily use the locator agent to find you if you go "hai I'm running missions in my golem."
We'll call this the Daily bump.
We're always looking for active pilots in all timezones we've recently made some organizational changes to try and break up a slight slump we've had lately.
But we need pilots any and all who want to fight we haver something like 7 active wardecs including the permanent one that makes RVB possible.
So if you are bored and looking to fight come on over and join up. We've got some particularly challenging and juicy war targets available to pad your killboard stats with if you're looking for something more challenging than popping industrials at a gate camp.

Well we're still around despite the efforts of several high SP players who seem committed to destroying RVB as an institution.
We've recently reorganized our leadership to attempt to address some problems we've had with balance. Things had gotten kind of off kilter for a number of months due to some shake ups in Blue Republics leadership and as such our numbers have diminished.
We have recently switched to a unified CEO (one guy CEO of both corporations) with new directors in both corporations committed to rebuilding RVB back into a vibrant organizations with two strong viable corps.
We are however facing the difficulty of dealing with some highly experienced war targets which as mentioned earlier seem to only be interested in destroying RVB.
This isn't a whine. This is a tough game in which tactics that would be considered grief-play in any other game are perfectly valid.
Our problem is that thanks to other unrelated issues we are lacking in sufficient numbers of active experienced PVPers to meet the challenge of the current situation.
So I'm putting out a call to arms to any former RVBers or other PVP experienced pilots who value what we are doing in the game. Who like the idea of having a place available to go and get some good quick PVP fun. Or frankly who are just interested in getting some nice juicy killmails.
No emoragers, no station spinners, no whinners need apply. I want hard core experienced pilots willing to undock and fight. These current War Targets are fielding some really sweet killmails waiting to happen including neutral logistics ships (They had 6 neutral Logistic ships in the last big battle we had with them) Machariels, Cynabals and other juicy high value targets. Their pilots are rocking high grade pirate sets and have lots of SP so every kill will cause them copious amounts of isk damage.
They've used our supporting wardec policy to get mutual wardecs with both corps so this will be a war until someone yells uncle and I'll see RVB dead and burried before it's us.
This will not be endless station/gate camping we plan to continue our normal fun of endlessly shooting each other when the WTs aren't active but when they are we want to be able to put a force in place immediately to lay a smackdown.
In addition to dealing with WT's we engage in a wide variety of ship destruction. We have organized fleet battles, roaming fleet battles, 1v1's, Free for all fights (Where we'll gather a bunch of pilots and ships designate an arena and fight until only one ship remains) a new event that we've started doing that I call Frigbrawling where each pilot will get fixed number of Meta0 fitted non-rigged T1 ships, split into teams and fight until only one team remains (the first one we did was mentioned earlier in this thread and involved 14 pilots separated into 2 teams with 10 ships each and resulted in 2 and a half hours of straight up killing)
PVP newbies are still welcome however we no longer offer any type of assurance of pod safety, The no Podding of RVB members restriction still stands but 3rd parties are neither bound by our rules or protected by them.
Midslot ECM and Neutral RR is still restricted to non-RVB engagements but those are pretty common atm, so skills in those area's are both welcomed and will be put to good use.
We are an organization that exists to fight and nothing else. I believe we offer a valuable service to the community and that RVB is something that is worth saving.
So I put out the call. If you have ever been a member of RVB and have good memories of fun fights, if you would like to have such an institution available to return to some day, if you just want to get some good fights and farm some juicy killmails. Then we want you to join us in our endless war.
Bring ships, isk and testicular fortitude. Join R-V-B channel in game or check out of forums for more information.

Edited by: LordInvisible on 20/08/2010 18:40:06 Well, to write something from "bad guys" POV:
It was a dull war, with mainly station camping them and pot shooting clueless pilots on which we aren't really proud of. Why have we done it then? Because of multiple things: - Our corp needed a practice shootout. They did provide that, but it was pretty boring on our side. - They are smacking idiots. We were here just to retaliate every line of smack put in local. - We tested our corp if we can shutdown two systems at the same time, making 200 active ppl stay docked in their stations. We succeeded, but again, it was boring. - Its was a good try to recruit some of rvb good pilots into our ranks.
Overall, it was a semi-fun war, with like 30minutes fun per day, the rest just station camping and dodging their blobs. We stopped with war because there is no point now anymore, since their numbers went down pretty much alot. We will return, when they grew strong again.
C ya then guys.
EDIT: some stats from our KB: http://nova.eve-arts.com/killboard/?a=cc_detail&ctr_id=32 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: "For me EvE wasn't that much fun, many ppl refer to it as a nicely designed database front-end and that |

To reply to the "bad guy".
Sorry we couldn't give you a better time. You caught us at a bad time we were already having numbers and balance problems so we didn't have many active pilots to begin with then Lukka and the your efforts further depressed activity, 3 months earlier and it would have been different. Hopefully 3 months from now it we'll be more of a challenge ;-)
We learned some valuable lessons and have made some structural changes to our organization that will hopefully make for a better more active RVB going forward.
Now I know I don't speak for all our members (we have to far a diverse group to pretend that I could) but for my part, no hard feelings. The game needs "bad guys" to keep it interesting. I do appreciate you dropping your dec and giving us some breathing room to recover.
I believe in what RVB represents and that's why instead of leaving during this time of trouble I instead accepted a directorship in Red. In order to work at strengthening and improving the institution so that in the future a group like LordInvisible's can't shut us down and we can bring them the type of fights that would present them with a challenge.
RVB remains active and we are rebuilding a stronger organization and as always are looking for pilots who want to fight.
So bring and a good attitude and join in the fun.
