Wanna quit for a couple weeks and grind isk, go for it. Anyways, I'm in agreement with Orion in repetition, and actually doing something teaches you much faster than theorizing about it, or EFT'ing it. Learn a lesson from every loss, and don't make the same mistakes as the folks you blow up.

All i can see is that he is suggesting several great places for people to learn tactics and Pvp skills even if they are just the basics. What he is saying is that you need to learn pvp best from corps that are constantly fighting and sparing with other players. Who gives a ** if RvB posts in the forums a lot? Just don't start harassing players because they have something useful to say and contribute. I really couldn't agree more with Orion. I only started getting better at pvp when i joined up with some guys that ganked me and some friends. It really is just practice time that contributes most to your overall performance in combat. No way i could kill a trained Army vet with 10 years combat exp. even if i did have a great gun, how can i do anything when he knows more about combat? Again, all Orion did was suggest joining a corp that does this stuff daily 24/7, and clear up something about RvB's TACTICS* that people seem to not know about. So **** off trolls, and go plug up another forum.

Send tell for any real details but two things to really consider on a Dramiel - Speed needs to be 6000 ++ and DPS , DPS, DPS Your not gonna tank, your not the best tackler, your the best solo ship in game -- so use specific range, and burn them down all the while maintaining a speed that is almost impossible to hit.. Skill plus know how equals EXPERIENCE Go Blues!

Second, who the hell has a god damn nuke lol, i dont even have a really good gun to fight him with, but how the hell can you get a nuke? you related to kim jang whats his name? and one nuke on one guy? sounds like overkill, and idk how bad it would harm the ozone or whatever, but i like your thinking anyway. just nuke him from orbit and then just shell the area in the fallout zone to be safe . I havent been flying with the RvB members that long and I already have more kills then most small alliances get in a month, and I'm loving it. I used to freak out in small and large pvp engagements, I would mash buttons and sometimes lock the wrong target, and you could forget anything about controlling range or transversal, hell I didnt even know what that was. Now that I have been in so many pvp battles with red feds and my personal favorites the war targets (get to bring out the big guns with those)not only am I very comfortable, but confident in my pvp ability, so much so that I have started to recently take the reins of the FC job and doing a decent job from what I have been told. I would have NONE of this exerpiance if it were not for RvB and the people that make it alot of fun i.e. Orian Shadowmaker, Silias Cov, Green, Serand, Del and Morph you guys rock. So in retrospect to those who bash RvB in the forum, talk is cheap if you hate us that much then just war dec us, I for one would love to see a few of you on the battlefield where your skillz at grammer will get you nothing cuz we all know forum warriors are just full of .....

One thing I learned very early - in 1v1 or 1v2 fights - is that you can win or lose the fight in the first 5 seconds, especially if you are fit for certain ranges. The only way to learn how to fly your ship, the timing for direction and speed changes and the nuances of momentum is to do it. Over and over and over. RvB provides that, among so much else. On an unrelated note, there was a time when the war decs spiked and we weren't used to it yet - war targets were disruptive. I feel like RvB has gotten far more savvy at dealing with them in a short time such that, now, they're pretty irrelevant unless we decide to engage them. Which can, by the way, be fun for everyone. It's like a spice on the RvB experience.

You are absolutely correct about the whole experience thing and I have really enjoyed my time in Blue Republic (and now Red Fed). However, I think these posts trying to make up reasons for why you block ECM are getting a bit dull, and are rather unnecessary. You know why? Everybody knows the reason you don't allow ECM. Here's the thing, everybody and their mother knows ECM is the best form of ewar atm. They also know it is strongest in small gangs. Many people believe ECM to be overpowered and cheap, the ones who think it's balanced generally use the following arguments, ECCM on BS's, ECM is counter to RR gangs, ECM is less useful in large fleets, ECM ships get primaried, you sacrifice dps in your gang, bigger blobs, etc.. These are all valid arguments. However, in RvB the fact is almost all the pvp is small to medium gang vs gang. Every fight is a known quantity with the majority of ships being frigates, destroyers, or cruisers all ships with low sensor strength. If RvB allowed ECM it would become an ECM fest because the type of pvp RvB engages in is the EXACT type of pvp ECM is best in. Simply put, because of the nature of RvB pvp allowing boosted ECM (which is the technical restriction I believe, basically no blackbirds/scorpions) would result in everybody twiddling their thumbs while jammed during every RvB match. Which would kill the point. RvB bans boosted ECM for the same reason they don't allow you to bring a Dominix to a frig v frig fleet battle. This is obvious to anyone who isn't braindead, so ignore the trolls. Otherwise nice post.
