What kind of skills might I need for the upcoming planetary interaction feature in Tyrannis? And where can I find more info about it? I looked around on the forums, but I can't find anything. All I've been able to find is the dev blog announcing it...

We don't know yet. The current implementation on Sisi doesn't require any skills. I doubt it will require skills on Sisi for a while longer while they add new content since they want players to test and comment on it. ---

nothing as yet.
if the thougth of planetary interaction interests you i would also hold off on any neural remaps till the skills needed have been defined, and hopefully they won't involve charisma.

IIRC they stated in the Eve Fanfast 2009 video that they wanted planet interaction to have a low entry-level skill-wise so everyone can get to it fast. Was a surprise for me as well, expected to have it require a crapload of LvL 5s. |

Being involved and being a Mega-Robber-Baron are two different things.
Hopefully both of these and levels in the vast gray area in between will be available.

My guess is each faction will have their own sets of skill books for laborer management because the Gallente Federation opposes enslavement.

I would guess the skills needed will be the 3 that are currently seeded on sisi.
Remote Sensing Exoplanetology Advanced Exoplanetology
Then again that would make too much sense

Would be nice if those old XXXXXX-Connection skills would finally get some real use instead of being just an ISK/rep-farming tools.

I expect it to be like mining; you should be able to start with a simply rank 1 skill, but there will be a series of higher ranking support skills to really make the most of it.

I've heard that in the past the skill books were added to the market even before the expansion went live. Can we expect something like this with Tyrannis? ---------------------------------------------

Nope, never happened before. New skills are always introduced with the expansion itself. ---

New on SiSi
Comand center upgrades Rank 4 skill C/I
Each rank in this skill improves the quality of command facility available to you, in turn allowing for a greater number of connected facilities on that planet. Cannot be trained on Trial Accounts.
Interplanetary Consolidation Rank 4 skill C/I
For each rank in this skill, you may install a command center on one additional planet, to a maximum of 6 planets. You can have only one command center per planet. Cannot be trained on Trial Accounts.
bascialy as it stands right now from 0-0 skill to 5-5 you get a 24X increase in base output

Stop freaking worrying about why things the developers did 5 years and more ago no longer make sense. |
