Yikes... that's like over 150 lvl4 missions for a great agent to get those LP's and you get a small laser.
So I guess in about a year and with a billion LP's you might get a chance for a faction ship woohoo! 
p.s. On eve-i the pirate faction ships seem better than their empire counterparts which is nice imo although I dunno if those are finalised values ( but it's not like we'll see one soon judging from the offer above  )

I think Tyrrax has already reached 100k LP. If not, she is pretty close to it (unless she has taken up the offer of a wee gun!).
