So i was doin a mission the other day and some guy jumps in with two cnr's, ok i thought keep my distance i dont wanna get suicided... turns out he was actually only there to shoot the mission rats and claim the bounties?? so basically i couldnt get any killrights and also he didnt steal anything so i couldnt attack him...
he was there to waste my time..hmm... but other than suiciding him (which is pretty difficult giving that he was in two cnr's [alts i guess]) i cant think of any other way to repay his generosity?
Just wondering what you lot make of that?

yeh if it catches on missions wont be worth runnin imo at all (though i hardly run them now anyway) I must admit that whilst ninja salvaging can be annoying to some it is salvage and there fore should be up for grabs, looting gets you flagged fine - now heres the tricky bit cus shootin rats should be open to everyone too but its a lot of game content that a lot of players actually do - which surely wouldnt be good for business? imagine taking the pvp part of eve away?

Well as I see it you have the following options: 1) Take advantage of the situation: Go for the mission item, while the rats are occupied with your "ninja", finish the mission early and grab the LP and next mission, hoping he'll come again and help you get more LP faster, that trade LP for a CNR or whatever and sell it for profit. You could even make a deal with the dude - you provide him with stuff to shoot at, he'll help you blitz your missions. Eve is a multiplayer game, you know. 2) Come back in your salvager and ninja-salvage the ninja-missioner. 3) Go somewhere else with your missioning. 4) Waste money trying to suicide him.

EDIT: typo.
1) i did - with my nighthawk, i have a cnr, i hate lp and mission rewards 2) all wreck are belong to me 3) cant be arsed besides he might have followed me 4) the thought had crossed my mind though id be after his pod, would take a lot to gank 3 cnr's

was even gonna wardeck him but looks like he'd only shift corp or stay offline

So some guy turns up and randomly decides to help you with your missions?
What's the problem here?

If only you had been running missions in lowsec, you could have ganked those two CNRs! Im just some nobody who trolls the forums during work.
EVE- I love everything about it except actually playing it! |

I'm sorry, I don't actually see any problems you seem to be having. So let me get this straight by responding to your list:
1) Underlined, bolded and italicized - so why the hell are you doing the missions alone in highsec anyway? You hate LP, you hate mission rewards, so all you're looking for is to pew some rats? Why don't you just head into lowsec and go do something more players' interactive? No wait, let me guess. You don't like pvp either. That leaves you with one option: Close EVE and go for a run. Or play tennis, or throw a party. I dunno, something to do with RL stuff. Much more exciting than ratting for boring hated missions in highsec (or even the - gasp! - potential for pvp?)
2) You've already said that wrecks technically don't belong to anybody until you've salvaged them. You are contradicting yourself.
3) And why is following you a BAD thing? You play a MMO specifically to avoid any contact with other players not of your own choosing? That's kind of like playing a really awesome multiplayer game and instead of playing it online, you play it offline. In an internet bar.
4) So why's this bad if you were bored of missioning anyway? Hell, get your friends to do a conjoined gankfest on them. That way you guys can mission together to get sec status back after you pod them. You can kill CNRs with enough suicide gankers right? Plus you'll be having a buttload of fun.

I've done this before with my Vargur- always entertaining because there's always a few moments between the time I warp in and the MR stops firing.
I can always picture the WTF look on the other user's face |

you fail at mission running

if anything, by helping you complete the mission without getting any LP rewards himself you're effectively boosting your effectiveness |

This has happened to me before. 2 ninjas came in so we left. They get bored and get into mission ships to do the mission. While this is going on a separate unrelated ninja comes in to ninja loot the mission ninjas. We end up thanking the 1st set of ninjas and kill the 2nd. Moral of the story, there are good ninjas and bad ninjas. Oh, and dont mission in motsu. |

Ninja missioning is great... you dont have to deal with having to actually run a full mission. I have started doing it just for an entertaining way to keep my sec status up. It does beat running full missions when all your interested in is a sec boost from a BS rat kill.

They claim the bounties, the salvage and the loot, they finish the mission and grab the mission item.
Do you see a pattern there, my friend?

What i do often with my alt, is that i carry on until the bogeys are down. then warp out, while my alt warps in cloaked (of course in the same fleet) and prepare to warp in again with first char.
in 99% of all situations the ninja looter will grab some things and become agro :) Decloak, tackle, 2nd toon warps in and bye bye Ninjalooter :) Alt has gooten some kills by that hehe. I love when they pop.

If you hate Lp-s and mission rewards...for whatever reason... And you dont want to go to ls to run missions or whatever...for whatever reason.. ... So you just want to shoot rats in hs and salvage their wrecks..right ? ... Well..here is the idea...Became a mission ninja yourself... You dont have to bother with misison rewards or LP-s...dont have to accept constantly new missions and finish them...you are even not bothered with ninjas..coz you are one... ... But i am assuming scanning would be your thorn in the side than... ...heh ..no help for you probably...
