Strippers now banned in Iceland. What has the world come to.
http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2010/03/24/iceland-striptease.html
Seriously now : Really, what has the world come to? What is it with governments and limiting ...well...everything lately?
No more violent games, no more nudity, lower speed limits, the list goes on...

Seems to me this all goes back to 9/11 - governments used it to create a climate of fear and are using it to justify a 'ban it' culture.
The really scary part imo is that 99% of people you talk to either don't care or don't see the problem.

Wait what? 911 caused strippers to be banned?
No, the breakdown of society has meant governments feel they need to become the moral guardians of the people.

See how easy that was not to derail his thread. (Not saying I don't agree with you, just really hard to tie in strippers and the odd way a few buildings fell)
ANYWAYS....
Just drug test strippers on a daily basis, that'll only leave the classy ones .

The irony to link a ban on stripers with 911 when we'll have to get through body scanners soon in order to board a plane.
And what was so odd about those building falling ?

9/11 was a catalyst for the dark ages yes. It's not just governments, it's media, everywhere, the bookburning mentality is here again.

Greed has overcome the world.
Goverement want to appear to be doing something good, so they make idotic changes, the brag about how good they are and how they are proteccting people, all just to be reelected and get more cash and "power".
Goverement has stopped being by the people for the people. And now it only serves its own twisted interests while screwing over the people.
And what I find sad? People buy it. People accept it.
In our sosiety, thinking for oneself is frowned upon, if you do not conform, you are not "cool". Just a quick look at teh deccaying education systems shows this, we are making ourself more stupid as a species. And stupid people more easily accepts the "system" without question, much like brainwashing people into religion.
Edit: 9/11? No, that was just one incident. Govemenrt has shafted us before that on many many occations. (Not to say US gov did 9/11, but they sure as hell used it as an excuse to go to war). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This has nothing to do with 9/11 or anything else security related.
This kind of behavior was going on before 9/11 ever happen in the UK, Germany, France, etc. The government was becoming more and more involved in "what's good for you" and has reached this point. It's only going to get worse down the road and more and more people depend on the government to hold their hand instead of taking personal responsibility. Hell, this kind of stuff is what drives the paranoia behind many Americans view on Socialism in general.
On a side note, this ban looks like it occurred when most of their politicians were absent and someone snuck in the bill at the last moment. Said group get together and vote a majority with those normally opposed absent and probably in strip clubs at the time.

Funny quote tbh since majority (not all but majority) of people dont want to work they just have to
A very odd move from Iceland tbh

Well in all my paid slavery I have never came across anyone who jumped up and down from 'working', I know he claims no one enjoyed this job but I find that 'very hard' to believe, I could link to several things now that would confirm this but all my links would probably get CCPeed.
Really surprised at this tbh

^^^ Interesting
Had a friend once who worked as bouncer at an establishment of shady reputation, full of beautiful workers. Having my own work (night shift IT) nearby, we often carpooled. In 9 out of 10, there was some beautiful co-worker of his needing a lift and riding with us. Being married at the time, I missed on the fun. |

It's the drokking neo-Puritan right wing; they just can't stand the idea that someone, somewhere might be having a little bit of fun.
Life is both harsh and cruel... and if it isn't, the twunts will contiinually move the funting goalposts and outlaw everything you get the merest smidge of pleasure from until there is no joy in anything.
