I mean, $2 isn't bad but it's an additional $14 a month for me, and got forbid I want to buy one of the over-priced GTC's. This game is a rip-off, and American players shouldn't be unfairly punished.

Anonymous Player	Posted - 2010.03.27 01:38:00 - [6] Well, three of the largest financial institutions are charging the same thing. Citi, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo/Wachovia. I don't use anything but those three, so I can't comment on other banks or financial institutions.

I am assuming when it reaches that extra 14 that your paying for 7 accounts? Search for the item PLEX, buy, and right click a couple accounts. Let someone else pay for your time through virtual isk. But it looks like prices on PLEX have rocketed up about 10-15 million this past week and will probably get higher, paying an extra billion for just 3 accounts would be a hassle to farm =/

The problem is, I'd have to make 50m ISK/hour for 10 hours a week, just to cover the accounts, let alone anything I want to purchase.

I agree, Bank of America sucks, as do the other two banks that I use, but they account for at least 30% of all American people, so it isn't like I am using some crappy local banks. Interestingly a recent assignment in one of my online university courses was to look at credit cards offered by different banks. One of the points highlighted in that research is that the bigger American banks are more likely to screw you over with their fees than the smaller banks. Like the others have said: find a better bank. Fortunately the big banks that I have delt with here in Canada don't charge an surcharge on foreign transactions, just the standard exchange rate.

Pay yearly, then. With 7 accounts you'll save: 11 months x 7 accounts x $2 = $144 And then the discount for yearly subs 7 accounts x ((12 x $14.95) - ($131.40) = $48) = $336 Total saving: $480**
