You have to realize that when triple-boxing the amount of time you can devote to each character is extremely limited. Generally it's a good idea having:
1) CovOps, can never have too many CovOps alts. 2) Gang bonus ship (T3, unprobeable) OR high DPS, easily applied (ie. missile ships). 3) Whatever tickles your fancy, a ship you are familiar with flying on your main character. This one will get the most attention.
Providing gang bonuses and covops (2 almost necessary things) to a gang is very useful. Allows other people to focus on ships they are specialized for.

Edited by: inVictu5 on 27/03/2010 14:11:21 well since you obviously bought these accounts this should be fairly easy.
lowsec 1 speed tackler, HIC 1 fleet booster fitted Command Ship/sniper/cloaker 1 gank, rattlesnake /blackops
0.0 1 HIC/dictor 1 fleet booster fitted Command Ship/sniper/cloaker (or cap ship w/ rr) 1 ECM or Gank, falcon/rook or gank anything
The reason for this is you want 2 active accounts and 1 passive. Controlling 3 is way to confusing and you can easily lose ships. Havving a passive command ship with tackle gang mods will get you up too 36km tackle for non-faction fitted t1 ships. If you plan on using all 3 actively then go for a slepnir. Blackops because of the logistics. Even then it really depends on what your hunting. but thats a good start
edit: poster same time as amarr, but were both saying the same thing. I duelbox usually with a ecm/gank or rr/gank. having a 3rd as fleet booster would make my day

saw a killmail once had 8 ravens(? or some other ship, not important) on it. the pilot names were something like james1, james2, james3 etc. was awhile back so i don't remember the detail but apppeared that some guy was fighting with 8 alts and got them all on one killmail.

That is a huge coincidence - I saw this guy(s) in local earlier this evening. (T)He(y) filled up the whole bottom half of the list, I think 10 in total. I was thinking that it was a bit of overkill...
Edit ...and after having read the link and viewed the pictures, I would like to slowly back out of the room, secure in the knowledge that my Eve addiction pales in comparison to this wacko.

Captin if your going to multi box in pvp then any fits with high alpha will do, stick to artys and missiles with lots of gank in the low i.e. ballitics and gyros and fit for speed as well.

Honestly that isn't me
I was shown the link a while ago, thought it so funny I had to keep it, wasn't until I saw the name of the OP's post that I have had chance to use it, I find it scary that someone could have such an addiction to the game, and I do have a pipe bender in my toolbox somewhere

Keep it simple and fly on all three something that flies in the same style, preferable even the same ships with fits. It is kinda ok in capitals, as they have good enough buffer. In fleet BS you die propably a bit more than usual as you are a bit slower at warping out. Don't tripebox attention intecive stuff like light support, ECM or logisticks. 1-2 combat ships and semiafk cloaker are also ok way to do it.
If you have option to field whatever I would say tripebox dreads, they are kinda easiest to triple. Carriers are a bit more attention intencive, even if you don't field fighters followed propably by fleet sniper BS in big enough fight.
If it's not a critical fight tho then just use single account, it's like vacation compared to triple or more accounts.

1. find real people in the game 2. form fleet 3. ??? 4. profit
I think that'd be waaaay easier.

That's sometimes boring when you neither lead nor scout.
I think a covops is always great to have. It can provide additionnal intell, can probe ships when you need to, let you see what happens somewhere else. And when you have to concentrate on your main account, it can just cloak and... no need to worry about it.
If you really want 3 accounts in pvp, then it depends on what kind of pvp it is...

Zhek is my personal Eve hero. The first time I saw the Zhekswarm in local, I think it was Kestrels. Lamesauce for CCP ban-hammering his good time. While not all of us have taken multi-boxing to such great heights, it is definitely a recipe for good fleet command and combat prowess to use multiple accounts. Read: cloaking alts everywhere.

I've played around with multiboxing for awhile, trying different combinations. After trial/error, my preferred setup is a cov-ops, a high dps BC and a RR battleship (with scan probe launcher).
I find I can really only control two characters in combat effectively. I tried adding a Scorpion BS to this mix, but it makes movement too slow and combat becomes too difficult to manage. The Scorp stays nearby in case I need to hit something big (like a station-game carrier or a couple BS), but generally I only run with two combat toons on the field.
With two characters with scan probes, you get great coverage of a combat area. The cov-ops can warp to a hostile grid and scout. The RR BS can drop you right on top of your targets while maintaining eyes on the field. It also lets you play gambits, warping only the BC to the battle to initiate combat while holding back the BS but keeping the ability to warp between targets on grid due to the cov-ops on the field. And then there is the ability to setup on fixed targets in adjacent systems, gate camps, sniper points, etc. There is a lot of tactical flexibility with this setup.
I'd suggest you play around and see what works for your style. Good luck!

A trio of drone boats with thier drones assited/guarding someone in particular couldn't hurt. Vexor, myrm or domi...take your pick, choose your risk.
Lots of ways you could fit it, but if you're like me {1 monitor} you'd better have sounds on for those shield/armor warnings. Saved my bacon many a time \o |
