As the subject header says. Why not just double rocket damage and see if it makes for a viable weapon system? While it would make rocket-based ships more formidable, they would still struggle with range and with damaging very fast, low-sig targets. Meanwhile the high ROF and low magazine size would mean that rockets would have a high 'burst' damage and a lower sustained DPS.
Double rocket damage. It just makes sense.

the explosion velocity would be still so broken that you can barely get effective dmg on your target.

Even so, it would help rocket boats against larger/slower targets.

Javelin Rockets with double damage... that be interesting to try.
But i think revamp shoud be something more complicated. And doubling damage may open some big can of worms especially in PVE...

The revamp would probably need to be a little more in depth, but this may make them remotely useful in the mean time. Also, who really cares about PvP? And short ranged frigates are already totally overpowered doing it. |

people still compare rockets to torp and standard missile to cruise missile but they arent.
put it that way if you want rocket to be the small counterpart of torpedos adjust they fitting cost accordingly (make them use more PG tha standard).
