Is there any graphs or thingys that show what the current population of 00 users are and the numbers from the past years? If so post link so I can look at it. I want to see if the influx of new players is having an effect out here.

The intentional '00' typo in Dastommy's thread title is just yet another reference to the fact that my buttocks are so firm and pert that they were used as the prototype for the Rorqual's ore compression technology.
I'm fairly surprised that there hasn't been an Eve Chronicle covering the story in close up detail yet.

It might be possible to infer population numbers by looking at jump statistics available through the api.

Wasnt there a bit about where people 'live' in one of the economic newsletter things CCP did last year? I think it was based on a database 'snapshot' though, so it may not be entirely accurate.
Looking at the map from time to time, my guesstimate it that one fifth of characters reside in null sec. space.
But is it really possible or indeed relevant to determine where people play. With tons of alternate characters, a lot of players will have a presence all over EVE anyway.

Completely useless data but in the last 24 hours 16.5% of all jumps came from 0.0, 8.4% from losec and 75.1% from hisec.
