If by ugly you mean awesome Mad Max in Space sexy, then yes.
Originally by: Davanev Hraldirsson all the gallente frigates are hideous and need redoing from scatch. Pretty much all the amarr ships are good - not keen on the mining frigate.
The Imicus is melted-coathanger hideous but the Incurses/flying Alien head is hawt. I hate Amarr ships; gaudy like Liberace-inspired costume jewelry lol. I can see Hillary Clinton wearing a Crusader as a broach lol.
Oh, but ugliest ship imho: Prorater/Bestower/rollypolly

I kinda like the Moa model. The Gila and Onyx look like boney fingers pointing at your enemies with promises of doom on the horizon. I'm quite pleased with the Moa itself, actually. It does one thing, and does it well: Gas Harvesting.

'fraid you'll at best see the Apocalypse here. It is pretty sad lookin'. It looks as if it were torn straight off the hull of a golden Ragnarok that once had a smooth surface.. Or perhaps, the Ragnarok had a smooth surface design at one point and the Minmatar found it disgusting and tore it off - resulting in the Amarrians finding the piece they tore off and turned it into the Apocalypse.

Well the helios isn't actually a covert ops ship. Its just so ashamed of how ugly it is that it hides all the time. I personally keep mine cloaked as much as possible to prevent my eyes from bleeding.

Stealth boost?
I used to love my Helios dearly. Then it... metamorphosed?... into what it is now. No more. Now I too have to keep it cloaked just to keep playing.
But that's what it's for, right?
(Oh, and to whoever above said all the covops hulls are awful: have you even looked at the Magnate or the Anathema? Those two ships are literally the only reason I'm even considering Amarr frig 5.)

The Tempest has really grown on me though. At first I thought it looked like a badass pirate ship, then it looked like the mutant child of a giraffe and a dimetrodon to me. After flying the Varg for so long I just can't help but like it again.

Don't you touch my Phoon! It looks mean and it uses its rusty edges to cut people with who make joke about its looks! And if that doesn't work, it makes an excellent club.
The Ruppie looks like an Uzi in space, and handles just like one too! I will never forget RuR alliance in the Alliance Tourney VI using a boat load of Ruppies on full auto AC to blow apart their opponents.
The Bellicose is a seriously fun ship to fly. Oh so versatile. More drones than the Ruppie or Stabber, very fast, constantly underestimated by overconfident frigate and inty pilots. -- Sometimes I think of CCP as a mentally challenged child with a big hammer in its hand trying to fix the broken plates in the room by hitting them as hard as it can. |

The Rifter is an ugly, stupid looking, x wing wannabee. I have no idea why people get so obsessional about it.
The autocannon placement on the roof makes it look like a starfighter from cartoon designed for 7 year olds.
Just what are those dumb lumps on the twin booms meant to be?
I just don't get it, I wouldn't fly one of these if you paid me.

And I thought it was only the Matari who got carried away by the Rifter's looks.
As for my own looks - a question marks not that bad.

You still have center of mass to contend with...the vector of thrust matters a lot in space.

Tempest is sexy as hell. Its a ship with SAILS. Pirates need sails on thier ships. Its my favourite ship in the game.
Rupture is pretty cool looking too.
The rest i kinda agree with tho, the typhoon looks like a rusty dustbin.

This is true.
However if you don't assume that each of the engines produces the same amount of thrust then it becomes viable since you can change the thrust output of each engine to eliminate the moments in straight flight.
And since no ships have maneuvering thrusters or indeed engines that don't point straight back, we already know that engines can vary their thrust outputs in order to turn.
That being said there are some ships that STILL couldn't possibly work:
Any ship with all of its engines on the same horizontal plane can't fly up or down, similarly any ship with all its engines on the same vertical plane can't turn left or right. In fact any ship with all its engines in the same plane can rotate only within that plane.
Also any ship with all of its engines offset from its center of mass in the same general direction can't fly in a straight line, I thnk there are a few ships like that. ________________

My Caldari alt was using a Caracal for level 2 missions but never had a chance to finish them. In fact 2 Caracals were lost in the "Blockade" mission. So I bought and fitted a Moa that I named "Quasimodo". With that ship I finished most of the missions without problems.

This is probably one of the more offensive aspects of current Eve ship design. Not only are the ugly, but they make no sense.
The lack of axial symmetry makes no sense. And the fact that some ships have symmetry and some don't is even more bothersome.
There are some aspects of these ships that just defy the known laws of physics: - Asymmetrical engine layouts. Bad: Typhoon + most Caldari ships. Good: Ferox - Ditto asymmetrical mass distribution. Bad: Raven, Osprey. Good Ferox again - Long, pencil-like shape. Agility requires the ship be compact around the center of mass - Long booms and bits that stick out. Bad: Tempest. Good: Drake - Lack of internal volume in a hauler. Bad: Prowler. Good Fenrir - Weapon systems that are positioned off the center of gravity. Bad Naglfar. Good Maelstrom (Amarr doesn't matter)
Plus, I agree that the Rifter is also just plain ugly. But can let it slide for two reasons: - I'm usually zoomed out enough to not really be looking at the ship and thus can ignore it's ugliness - It's the Rifter. It's general awesomeness earns it a pass
