For each race there are 3 t1 battleships, and 2 of them have t2 variants, what happened to the other Battleships t2 versions?
I would like to see a t2 Rohk...
not sure what area this t2 ship would perform in, but it would be good nonetheless.

Bingo. What else do you need from battleship hulls? Gank in t1, tank in t1, auxil (ECM/EWAR/etc) in t1. Cloaky t2 higher tank/gank t2
Youve covered 99% of the bases.

Hmm, perhaps a mini dreadnought?
I'm serious. Make a special, midslot siege mod (so the hulls can keep their 8 turrets), and have it fill an anti BS/support role. It would function as one heck of a sniper too.
Pros - Massive volley damage. - Highly skill intensive/expensive like the other T2 BSs. So they aren't going to break the game. - High sec pos bashing would be slightly more tolerable.
Cons - Horrendous tracking, just like a seiged dread. - Highly expensive/skill intensive. - No more durable than the T1 hull, so it wont be a solo pwnmobile. - If you still feel that this is overpowered, have the siege mod anchor this thing in place just like a regular dread.
I now dream of my sieged Abbaddon taking potshots and webbed/TPed battleships lol.

In fact I am going to photoshop one right now!!!1 (edit: I mean .. soonish)

A t2 BS geared towards pvp would be nice. We have the ninja-ratting/covert jump portal of epic fail black ops and the carebear's dream ship in marauders. But there really isn't a proper direct combat t2 BS nor a proper t2 EW model. That's two classes of t2 BS's that don't exist currently.
Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

I would give CCP a sexual favor for a T2 Hurricane. You could call it the Monsoon to boot. Just make them heavy versions of HACs. You could even make them sniper oriented and I would be happy.

I have an idea for a PVP Vargur I've been working on, but have been playing it close to the chest...
Mainly because of the instant lolage that would come with posting it, and for stuff like this:

The T2 version of the Rokh could potentially be a larger version of a heavy interdictor, with a much larger warp disruption bubble radius than the cruiser version, a limited range cyno jammer (would only cover maybe 10 AUs rather than a whole system), or both depending on how the pilot fits the ship.
You already have a mini-dreadnaught in the Raven, especially considering its insane T1 cruise missile range of more than 250km with all skills to lvl 5, or its sheer damage potential when equipped with torps at ridiculously close range despite the range bonuses (only about 30km for T1 torps at all skills to lvl 5). But then again, it wouldn't hurt for the Caldari to have a decent railgun platform to go along with the Raven.
Of course, I'd like to see some improvement in the T1 versions of the Raven and the Rokh before I see a T2 version of the Rokh. For both ships, I'd like to see an improvement in their tanks, which are quite dismal especially when compared with other ships, both other BSs and smaller ship classes. For the Rokh specifically, I'd like to see more capacitor and powergrid so that it can actually make use of those railguns it favors without having to sacrifice what little tank it already has.
Very little escapes my notice. If something has, I don't know about it. |

Rokh: 1.) PG boost to allow fitting of a full rack of 425mms without fitting mods. 2.) +1 low slot 3.) Bonuses: Caldari Battleship: 10% Large Hybrid Optimal and 5% to shield resistances per level. It doesn't exist, but what he's implying with the bonus is that it would be where the T2 ship skill bonus would go. Much like how all T2 ships have a base bonus for their hull type, then the T2 bonus.

Super Heavy Interdictor
Can Fit: Warp Disruption Field Generators
Battleship Skill Bonus: 5% to ALL *Racial* weapon systems 7.5% tracking
Super Heavy Interdictor Bonus: 5% to all shield and armor resistances 7.5% shield boosting/armor repping
ROLE BONUS: 50% capacitor defence shielding (neuts and nos remove half the cap)
Very low PG, lower than a dominix to avoid too many large weapons, slot layout similar to T1 teir one BS (6/8 highs, 4/6 mids, 4/7 lows)
fills a role like a heavy interdictor only with a local tank and undersized guns to defend itss elf while tackling a super cap wihtout RR support.
Cost at around 200m.
plopping this idea out there for the EFT ****stars to rip open.

I want a brand new class Assault marauders which needed skill marauder to lvl5 and armor compensation (or shield) to lvl5 and large guns spec to lvl5 and something else. With ships something like marauders, but primary focused to the PvP. If I imagine a T2 Hyperion (I dont know which name has to be, maybe a Theya - the wife of the Hyperion) that has a 8hi slots 5 for guns with 100% role bonus to guns damage and 37,5% tracking, 50% to web strench. Gallente battleship bonus 5% to damage per lvl and 7,5% to activ rep. with good sensor strench, I thing 50. Assault marauders bonus 5% to all resistances for armor or shield and 7,5% for armor rep or boost. About 50% high armor, shield and structure higher then T1 hulls. Higher cap, cpu, power. 5 med slots, 7low slots. With good resists and so on. Drone bay 250m3 with 125drone bandwich. 3x rig slots with 600callibration points. This could be a great ships for pvp with activ tanking. Building cost must be very high to prevent that not everyone has those ships, but only high skilled and valuable players. I thing about 4bill. And skill assault marauder like carriers 400mill. I hope that ccp can do some specialized T2 PvP battleships.

Answer:
The 3rd BS and 2nd BC for each race were added a few years ago after the initial round of T2 ships and modules were introduced to Tranquility. So there is room for expansion
Hopefully it is a huge ISK sink for bitter vets since the base T1 hulls are already more expensive than the lower tier hulls

OP sure but why the hell would you turn their best gun boat into a missile boat? the Minmatar standard is to slap on a **** load of guns not rocket launchers... which puts me on the the rant of why the hell does the naglfar have split weapons...
if anything i kinda like the assault marauder idea, but toss a few capital gun turrets on or something would be kinda neat

I'd like to see super heavy assault ships... (khanid scheme abaddon would be hot).
CCP has said that one of their stated goals is to never have regular T1 BS get replaced at the 'standard fleet ship' (and price isn't enough)
so I'd like to see a bonus like this:
amarr BS bonus: 10% bonus to armor repair amount, 5% bonus to Torpedo ROF Super Heavy Assault ship: 5% bonus to torpedo explosion velocity, 5% bonus to torpedo velocity
role bonus: 100% bonus to Torpedo damage, cannot fit remote repair modulus, 25% bonus to stasis web velocity factor (75% for t2)
6/5/8 4 launcher hard points
EM/therm/Kine/EXP 0%/20%/50%/75% (shield) 50%/35%/35%/50% (armor)
you can see how this would translate to other raves, basically the 'close range HAC' with a rep/boost bonus, and a little less then the base t2 resists.
Not only do i think this would be fun and have a role as a 'solo' or 'small gang', I think it fits the role of 'not replacing BS in fleets'.

I'd perosnally like to see a bit of diversity in the Amarr battleship line. The other three races each have a some diversity to them and their weapon systems, but Amarr are all laser all the time. I'd like a Khanid based battleship that is a Torp using monster personally. I'd much rather see a T2 non-command ship based BC hull, the final extension of Recon ships maybe. BC sized versions.

I love this idea, but not as a combat recon battleship. What about a BS version of the stealth bomber? Seriously, just as a stealth bomber is VERY effective at killing battleships, a "Heavy Bomber" would be a battleship capable of doing serious damage to capital ships

Here are the options I see for the T2 battleships based on my perceived gaps in the fleet structure with a somewhat limited knowledge base.
1) Escort Carrier - From my understanding fighters and fighter bombers can only be used by carriers. Carriers are restrained to low and null sec. This is basically using a battleship hull and creating a small carrier out of it.
2) Escort Battleship - Ship with 16 to 20 high slots and turrets which can only fit small weapons. The ship is primarily designed to take out frigates and cruisers, while giving up it's ability to take out other battleships. Maybe 12 to 15 high slots fitting medium weapons. Caldari version could swap turrets for launchers.
The primary issue with adding new content for ship classes is how to prevent out dating previous ships. I'd almost rather see T3 frigates and battleships than adding more ships.

haha i like it, ive always wanted a heavy destroyer. Was thinking of capital level to take out bs's but that would be far more op than a bs version for cruisers (which would still have its problems) only big problem is that you cant fit more than 8 turrets on a hull without some serious reprogramming as far as i know Touch not the Cat bot a Glove |
