Originally by: Gumpy Nighthawk So this morning i woke up, had some breakfast and went back to my internship. To my surprise the ride by bike was still 8 miles, i would have expected with all these earthquakes happing that this would have lengthened my route by a couple of inches. But after taking General Windypops calculation in mind, i think that i have probably burned around 371 calories, because well i was a bit sweaty and was still wearing to much clothes for this time of the year probably.
Will update when i go back home later today.
you can't count the 10 yards you pushed the bike to the road so it wasn't 8 miles at all. also the 500 calories for the beer you had outweighs the burn of the ride so yet again your figures hide the truth. please post a truer account of the facts

Originally by: Gumpy Nighthawk LUNCH UPDATE:
I just had an amazing lunch, sat in the sun, worked on my tan. But unfortunately this lunch was pretty heavy, this means i have to upgrade my fleet bicycle to a t3 version, to burn more calories or i need to fit a microwarpdrive. Anyway according to my Windypops derived calculations it would probably mean i need to burn at least 576 calories to neutralize this amazing lunch.
although such upgrades sound good on the surface, they are infact counterproductive. its a trade off between time and calories burnt. sure t3 or an mwd will get the job done ,but the effort needed will be less, hence less burn. might i suggest putting a few plates on. start with 100mm and work up as you need to. the increased workload will easily compensate for a heavy lunch. if you're feeling really tuff, try a plated caldari bike, but be careful on corners
