L'Acuto Gallente Battlestars Wildly Inappropriate.	Posted - 2010.04.10 14:52:00 - [1] I'd be sorely disappointed if no one has ever mentioned this before, but "Morsus Mihi" does not exactly mean, "Bite Me!". "Mordeo" means, "I bite", and "morsum" is the fourth principle part of "mordeo" and means "having been bitten". "Morsus" is a noun form derived from the afore mentioned fourth principle and means "a bite" as in a bite or piece of food, or a morsel. Ego is the first person pronoun and its dative case is "mihi" which means "to me" where the verb "give" is often inferred. When the two terms are put together, "Morsus Mihi" it actually means "food give to me"; however "morsus" in the nominative doesn't make much sense. It is a fourth declension noun, so "morsus" could be in the plural accusative case and as such be the object of the sentence; thus "Morsus Mihi" means "give morsels to me", a beggar's phrase. For those who want to continue to pretend that "Morsus Mihi" means, "Bite Me!", "Mordete Me!"
