Can anyone suggest a good fitting for a long range PvP Blackbird, where ISK is not a limiting factor (within reason)? Not looking for an uberfit with Estamel's mods everywhere, but let's say around 500mil (not interested in Scorpions, in case you're wondering). I have looked through the forums (there are no Blackbird ideal fittings in the 19 issues of EON Mag, unless I somehow missed it) and found many fittings that are good, but none that combine max range with a healthy budget, without going into the lolfits. My skills are good for most ECM, except some of the more advanced ones. Rig suggestions, too, are of course welcome. I am a fan of racial jammers, vice multis. The 1600mm plates have also come in handy on a couple of occasions, but I defer to your ideas... Oh - also - almost forgot - I don't care about DPS as I want to keep a pure ECM bird.

The point of a Blackbird is to be a cheap, disposable ECM ship. It will be primaried, it will die rather quickly. If you really want to fly a 500m ECM ship, pimp out a Falcon.

Well, then lets say 50-100mil. Won't be Falcon qualified for about 50 days (most of which is Cald Cruiser V).

You must have a lot of isk if you're looking to throw 500mil at a blackbird. Even if isk is not a limiting factor however, you are probably going to get a lot more mileage out of 20 25mil blackbirds then you will out of 1 500mil blackbird. Simply because there is only so much performance you can squeeze out of what is meant to be a cheap ECM bird.
The fact is your blackbird is going to die, probably very quickly. Even if you have isk to throw away the marginal performance you will squeeze out with that extra 475 mil won't be big enough to make a difference. Better to just have a score or more blackbirds waiting in the wings for you to re-ship to.

Something like that if your looking for long range ecm, warp in at 100km and begin jamming 111km jam range 117km locking range. My personal preference is to drop the sensor booster II and stick an extra caldari jammer and a jam strength rig then warp in at about 70km and jam. caldari jammer helps against other ecm ships. Neuts for anything that tackles you. Autotargeting system will lock anything that gets within 60km and allow you to target 3+ more ships
But if you want the long range thats the best your gonna get.

Go with best named jammers. They use a lot less cap (esp good for caldari) and for some reason are about the same price as T2. If you have room in the highs chuck in some AMLs or neuts, nothing directly offensive, just to clear an inty of you if you get caught.

Here is what I came up with. I haven't tested the CN cloak with the Shadow Serp Sensor Booster, but I am hoping it brings down the targeting time to mitigate it at least somewhat. Otherwise I'll dump the cloak.
Again, this is just a fun fitting to try and see what can be done outside the usual BB box.
I also added a Salvager and Tractor Beam (offline) to add some versatility for long range PvP roams.
Not cap stable, but a respectable 29min 5sec w/ the Salvager and Tractor offline.
