Try to avoid the trap of giving people access and cool titles just to make them stay, otherwise you're asking for trouble.
Keep the titles as simple as possible, and if you can't afford to loose it, don't give anyone access to it. I'm not necessarily saying don't take any risks on trusting people, just be mentally prepared for the loss if you do. Here's something I might setup for a generic corp:
A title for new recruits (limited hanger access) A title for standard members (more hanger access, access to all the harmless stuff like corp bulletins and saving ship fittings under the corps name) A title for people you "know" won't screw you over (check all the boxes for everything, basically a director) Only give director to your alts/RL friends if they need it.
Also remember to take all the corp shares for yourself (or at least the majority of them). Otherwise a director can take the shares, call a vote for CEO and vote themselves in. It's pretty funny when a corp thief not only steals all your corps stuff, but steals the entire corp too.

^^ Good reading about managing a corp.
Depending on what your corp will be about you can create a structure, you can come up with all kind of things for it, and with roles you can prescribe what each person will be able to do and where. It should not be a headache but understand that even if the game as good ppl, it also has lots of thieves and crazy ones, that will enter your corp just to steal and kill (compleately legaly) so be carefull what you do with them. you can minimize this with api key checks, corp history, asking, bg checks, and keeping things secure and tight for new members. Good luck

Obvious new CEO? Check. Obvious industrial corp name? Check.
Welcome to random wardec land.
Posting CEO questions on your in-corp character is the best way to get greifed into oblivion, good luck!

The best way to assign roles is to keep it really simple:
- Trial members - any character you accept into corp put on 1-2 months trial. If they are not active or not a good fit just boot them. Do not grant the any roles otherwise you will have to wait 24 hours for booting.
- Regular member - anybody who has been active and is a good fit gets promoted to this rank after 1-2 months trial. Give them some hangar access. Can put some basic equipment and ammo in hangar for them to use.
- CEO/Director - you and a few trusted members. Directors have similar powers to CEO so make sure to promote people to this level only if you truly trust them. Many a corp theft/drama has happened because people gotten promoted to director who were not really good candidates for it. If you are not very good judge of people's character best not to keep hundreds of millions of ISK in corp assets floating around for anyone to grab them and leave.
- Specialty roles - only invent/grant those to people who have demonstrated the resolve to follow through with them. Recruiter, mining director, combat director, training director etc. once you start running corp you will see what jobs you need to get done and assign these roles to people willing to do them.
Titles/roles are shiny, but you have to also make sure that people receiving those are doing their assigned. Otherwise they are meaningless. So pay special attention to things getting done not just to what titles you are devising.
