Edited by: Feta Solamnia on 07/12/2004 09:59:20 as I said before, the npc market you're talking about is low-risk/low-profit. I can't stress that enough (even though I will AGAIN state that we DON'T need npc market --yadda, yadda isk inflows, yadda yadda go play a single-player game). The amounts of 30m+ might seems significant, but in the player trade market you can make 100's of mils within a week given the right capital and planning.
Dont waste your time in the npc market, be a man (or a pimpette like me)! bet yer cash in the casino of the REAL market

Think expanded cargo hold's and maybe giant cans inside the expanded cargo hold. The cans hold 3900 M3 but only take 3000M3 of space.
Also for some runs it might be economical and faster to run with all overdrives in lows and carry expanders in your hold and maybe one can in your hold. Once you get to the pick up place put the expanders in, removing the overdrives, and load more cargo for a slower return trip. Rinse/Repeat.
I know a corp called Convergent which also has a healthy commerce department and is always looking for good haulers.

i made over 30 mill in about 45-50 mins - needed alot of cash tho to make that kinda profit - but its there..
it changes throughout the day, so dont just check once and decide its not worth it - on your normal travels always make use of the market in space feature.. dead handy for checking prices of items

He's being sarcastic. As you'll probably soon find, there are a lot of other players doing some very advanced trading and making a killing in profits. But no one talks, because the less other traders know, the more the profits are kept within the circle.
And now here's a shameless plug: my corp is centered around trading. Any new players interested in joining talk to me in-game.
Seriously there's not enough money to be made in trading. You're better off hunting. You get isk from the bounties plus you loot to resell and it's more interesting. And the rest of you go do something else. Go mine, do missions, haul courrier missions, hunt pirates, or whatever. There is no money to be made in trading.

There is a money in npc trading. Sometimes it is a very good money but must say it is very boring way to earn isk. Trading with RL people is harder but more interesting. Anyway, whats the point of playing MMORPG if you play it like single-player game?

I dont trade except in loot from npc,s etc but i was looking at the commodoties out of curiosity the other day and found a 12 jump trade route in one region which my corp had bm,s for. I told a new guy in corp that he could make 1.2 million for a 24 jump round trip in pure profit. This run is usually there every day and im sure he does it regular. So money is there to be made as im sure the profit margins will go up between regions....
I still prefer killing rats though hehe.. ----/ / /-----<[]>-----\ \ \---- Head of House Rahl Warleader of the Rahl Clans

Sure it's worth it. I've spent the last few days trying out agent missions and mining... Boring and not that much money. Then I just checked out the market, and well... I made 13 million isk in four hours and I'm a huge newbie to trading. I had around 25 mil already though and it was needed to buy the stuff.
Alexander Rahl: I just had a trade route that was 4 jumps round trip and that was 1.6 mil. Had to buy stuff for 14 mil first though :) After 6 trips it was over though, but I'll check back tomorrow :)

There are plenty of hints and tricks for trading. A common one is to set up buy orders for trade goods at stations where those trade goods are given out as mission bonuses. Many agent runners will quite happily sell far below market average just to get rid of 'usless' bonuses. Then you just need wait for the pile to get big enough to warrant transporting it to where you can re-sell.
Cheap goods, at little to no effort.

I've sold livestock for roughly 4m ISK in an hour, 4 jump round-trip. Now what to do with all that leftover methane... :P --------------------
