So I bought some t2 comp bpo's, had them in resarch for a while. However, it doesnt matter if you resarch them or not, at material level 75 the bpo require still the same amount of materials as it did at material level 0..... but or feature? sigh...

Well, this is theoretically possible, depending on what the base inputs were. Which BP are you talking about? -D

7 different ones.. All at ml75... no difference from base building requirements...

Gah, glad I haven't researched mine yet. Just hadn't gotten around to it since the Destroyer prints are taking all the lab space.

Assault cruisers are affected by research. It probably just means you haven't tried with a BPO that had a large enough item requirement.

Im talking about "tech2 component" bpo's, not "tech 2 blueprints".... You know, the blueprints required to build tech2 components and who used "advanced materials" created through moon mining with pos's.

From the standard ME formula, with regard to these BPs in particular which all have a base wastage factor of 0.1, it should mean that any units with 4 or less required at ME0 (assuming Production Efficiency 5) would never go down with ME research. Between 5-15 units of one part, the first run should save 1 unit which will never go any lower, and so on.
Did you try doing ME research on a BPO which has more than 5 units of one part, and that it didn't go down? Because that is very weird then I know for example that the Armour Plates use the most Fernite/Tungsten/Titanium Carbide of the T2 parts which go into ship production, about 30ish IIRC, so that should definitely have gone down. The Reactor BPO I've seen uses three parts at 1/1/9, so in theory should go down to 1/1/8 after the first run of ME research...will have a go at it tomorrow evening when Metallurgy 5 *finally* finishes!

OOPS
I guess you didnt notice. I have a set of amarr construction component BPO (except tungsten carbide arour plate) and at the most have researched to me5. If you look at what the levels start off at and compare to the perfect values on the item database (Components Database) you will notice that there is only a very small ammount of difference to make up.
If you look at something like the nanoelectrical microprocessor you notice that the base materials on the BPO are something like 15 tungsten carbide, 1 phenolic composite and 7 nanotransistors (cant remember the exact figures but its about right). The perfect values for this item from the database are 12, 1 and 5.
So once you have researched only a few levels it reaches its perfect level and any extra work is just a waste. .
Seeing as how your lab slots are going to waste can i have em - lol |
