Is this even going to be possible? When will there be information available regarding API goodies so that we can integrate EVE gate with our existing blogs and websites?

Not sure if CCP have said anything about an API, but either they make one or people will create scripts to sc**** data from EVE Gate.

CCP decided to go with a home-made solution, featuring none of the Web2.0 social features you'd expect from any modern social network.
No OpenSocial or oAuth for a start.
Developing things such as calendars, killboards, POS management, etc etc. Is all in CCPs hands with no access for the users that could make it great.
No data or API integration, if you want to use EveGate data at all then you'll need to hammer it with a spider.
Just funny right?

Where did you get this information? CCRES is recruiting pilots who want to live in WSpace/Wormholes. Fill out an application here! |

From first-hand experience with the product... obviously. I mean, what he said is rather obvious for anyone with eyes connected to a brain. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

The heart of the problem seems to be CCP is married to Microsoft.
Microsoft have no OpenSocial container code available so CCP would have to write their own.
They likely can't use the 50,000 hours of dev on Apache Shindig container because MS wouldn't like it.
