Imagine getting podded and with the last gasp you hit a space fart. Gratefully your clone won't remember any of it. Pods have biofilters and noob ships use pods, so all you may feel is a bubble crawling up your back through the viscous pod fluid. As you are wearing a breathing apparatus over your nose, you won't smell it, but if you manage to get it into your uncovered mouth, the resulting taste would be rather disgusting and you may even get some of the fart into your nose. Too bad that such an experience will even survive the next podding. --------

The action of "smelling" something is a mechanical one, and basically particles of that material or effluence would be washed over, and attracted to these. Due to the vaccuum of space, this would be unlikely to occur. It's almost akin to the "if a tree falls..." problem. In a way, yes it probably does, in a more practical way; no it does not. The problem we encounter in the pod, is that our bodies are fed by a series of tubes and wires etc. Injecting gloopy nutrient goodness directly into us. As such, I don't believe that there would be any digestion occuring that would create such a phenomona lol hope that helps x ♥ VOTE CAT ♥

Ailok Konem	Posted - 2010.04.20 18:24:00 - [6] Well this are quite some good answers. why lock this thread. we all know what the human body is capable of. i read a book a while ago called the complete history of farting. and its said there that a woman fart in avarage between 7 - 10 (times per day) and a man between 12 - 15 (times per day) ok they do it rarely BUT THEY DO IT !!! so how about eve races. witch one farts the most. i think the minmatarr race has the worst farts.
