Well, while passing through curse today, on an alt, I saw an interesting site. M0o, the corp everyone loves to hate, members of M3G4 and DA-Dragons all exchanging fire. Lucky I was far enough away where I didn't get podded on sight. Looks like M0o means business since they had a Battleship out there. Sounds like there is some bad blood between the outlaws of the universe. So, what side is everyone routing for? Numbers look to be on the side of M3G4 (60 members) and DA (70 members), but M0o (30 members) has a rep for hitting really hard. |

I currently would prefer to see m0o win. Why you may ask? well its simple numbers if m0o wins then thats 2 pirate corps with less members weakened making it safer for player in there space if only for a while.

War, between pirates, well that will do the economy some good since they will be too busy killing each other to kill too many traders in Passari/Mara
But, untill I see a scrn shot or one of the corporation in question actually confirms it I am holding my bets.

da-dragons 70 memebers = about 3 m0o members..they are totally hapless. they started a war with us because they thought our CEO was smoked from m3g4(reading skills are obviously not a requirement to join DD).
regardless, sooner m0o takes them out, the happier i'll be, i'd rather deal with competant pirates than this bunch of bumbling idiots.

The proplem is even with m0o's greater skills numbers is an effective weapon, after all 70 cruisers with 4xDual 425mm Scout arts with emp ammo all fireing at one battleship battleship. If each hit did on average of 120 damage thats 33,600 damage every few seconds. Also dont forget theres the other 60 members to run interference with the other ships.

I say go m0o, they have for the most part remained polite on the forums and have taken heed of the advice the GM's have given them.
The other idividuals or at least one of them is known to friends of mine from previous games and I hope he gets a good spanking, prolly best not to post why I'd most likely get my post deleted for unsubstantiated claims.

does it even need to be pointed out that this is the PvP that was intended by the game and not the gate-camping, ibis v battleship encounters in passari.
murder with a purpose against well-armed opponents, large-scale corp wars and such.

If I get a chance - I will get some screenies -but while last nights 4 vs 15 was fun, it was also quite laggy, today with that number more like 8 vs 16 mega and co decided they would sit and talk trash from the saftey of the stations. Well I guess if thats the way they want to play, then thats the way they play. The problem being, we tend to get very trigger happy after a few hours of no killing and being empire space is teeming with life, while 0.0's seem to be dead.... well I'll let you work out the equation.
BTW - it was m0o that attacked first, (I know Mega and DaDragons have been moaning about us picking the fight so thought I would set that straight) the point being guys (pointing at mega) - we're prepared to have a go, even while outnumbered 3 to 1 for the sheer fun of the fight.

LOL Ywev, they did the same thing in Stain. as they was getting the ever living $#!% kicked out of them by the alliance they would dock and talk smack. that means that they are close to running away.

Yea M3G4 corp didn't have very smart pilots or good gear when my corp ran into them in stain.
In fact it was pretty hilarious until they figured out how to use a zerg :).

Yeah, we spent a very uneventful few hours camping the gate while members of m3g4 shouted insults from the safety of being docked. From what i hear both da dragons and m3g4 are having financial difficulties and so I guess they didnt fancy losing their cruisers. I could say all sorts of colourful words to describe m3g4 but my thread would be deleted....

I'm going to have to root for m0o, because they're the type of corporation I like: people using small forces playing very well to defeat larger forces. I like small corps where everyone knows everyone else pretty well and they get used to understanding how each other will react in any PVP situation so that their teamwork's improved and 5 of them are far more effective than 5 equally skilled individuals who never played together before. My guild in DAOC was like this and my corp in Eve is becoming like this. I prefer to see such organizations triumph over the huge, impersonal, frequently recruiting corps.

To set something straight, M0O, it was YOU who hid last night, with your battleship-toting lord zap and his cruiser friends in dock, and refusing to come out. Yes it was 5 on 12, but you had a battleship, and some of our number were in frigates.
So what did you do? "let's have a cease-fire." Sure, why not. We didn't expect it to last long and it didn't, you guys broke it (and broke your word) when our fleet was at its lowest readiness (maybe 3 cruisers total, some other frigates), while you had 3 battleships and 3 cruisers, with more streaming in. So yes, it was 6 on 8 pilots, but dont try to paint it as if you were outnumbered. And don't try to paint it as if you're playing totally above board. Thanks.

It's funny how you keep saying we were the ones insulting you when in fact, GM Fate had to come in local to calm you down because you were profaning so much with YOUR 15 years old trash talk.
And the only reason why we stayed docked (or hiding at safe spots), is because we're not stupid. I mean common, who's idiot would be stupid enough to rush 3 battleships and a few cruisers, when they only have cruisers themselves? That's not being chicken, that's being smart.
And to the ones who keep saying that we are a bunch of dumb pirates, well at least we keep our word when we give it, as in a cease fire...
And to all of you who think M0O is cool... and you wish to join them, well ask Warhound what happens when you try to leave your corp as a traitor to join M0O... M0O podded him after adding him to their corp! If they try to set a temporary non-aggression pact it's only to set bookmarks and scout the system while their boss does tha talking... Those people can't be trusted whatsoever, they can't keep their word, and they have no honor at all. They use any exploit they can find until they are fixed, and they use tactics such as joining the Team Speak server of other corps and shouting stupid things and make stupid noises like 15 years old kids would do.
They might have the advantage now because they do have battleships, but it's not gonna stay like that forever.

Setec, that is simply basic battle philosophy. Of course a group of 5 players that are very skilled and know how their wings play will be far more effective than 5 or more other people who don't.
